Northgate Dental Care

The office is beautiful and the front desk staff are nice, but it is abundantly clear that they prioritize making money over the rest. Dr. Carter comes in for such a brief period and barely would even evaluate my dental health. They also recommended this new retainer ($3k and will not bill insurance) that would push my lower jaw forward, I explained that due to a jaw surgery I had years ago that this would not work for me and cause me pain, they responded with "Oh it's not that much, it'll be okay" - completely brushing off my concerns and clearly not caring about my health. My new dentist responded with "I would never recommend that with your history". Northgate dental just cares about profit.

My wife has a paralyzing phobia of the dentist, and they handled her with remarkable care, compassion, and afforded her every comfort available. They did amazing work and we absolutely could not be happier with the service and people working here. I'd give more stars if I could.

I had an awesome experience considering going to the dentist is on my least of "things I avoid"! From the moment I walked through the doors I was greeted by the very friendly front desk team and escorted right back! Sally took amazing care to make me feel super comfortable, and took care of all of my x-rays! She then handed me off to Melissa who did a super thorough cleaning for me! Dr. Carter took excellent care and time with me!

He was very calm and reassuring of the next steps in my care! I really, really appreciated the timeliness of the team as they told me I'd be there for two hours (new patient) and I was there for exactly two hours! 10/10 recommend!

Where else can you go to a dentist, watch a movie and get your back massaged while getting a crown! No pain whatsoever. I expected to have some pain after the numbness left, but nope. Can't even tell I had dental work. :

So happy to have found this crew at Northgate Dental. Staff is so professional but they make you feel sooo relaxed (which is important when visiting any doc or having a procedure). They are efficient and certainly know what they are doing no matter which cubicle you are assigned you are well taken care of! Easy for me to say I highly recommend them but more importantly go visit them yourself and be as impresssed as I have been with Dr. Carter and the fantastic staff he has surrounded himself with.

I am a new patient that called with a very sore tooth that ended up being an emergency issues. Dr. Carter and his staff were so very friendly, well informed and efficient. They quickly did x-rays and assessed me and knew that I need a referral to an Endodontist. They quickly called and got me an appointment that same day. I generally do not enjoy going to the Dentist, but I do look forward to returning to get a comprehensive exam and cleaning. The office itself is beautiful, they are all so very friendly from check in to check out. I would highly recommend this office and Specifically Dr. Carter to anyone.

I've always faced anxiety when it comes to the dentist, so finding a dentist that will help me overcome the anxiety as well as complete treatment at a high quality level was hard to come by. From my first visit to all the following visits, everyone has been very friendly, understanding and helpful. For some it may come a little more expensive but in all honesty it's been worth it. They've created a dental treatment unique to my needs and continue to help me improve my dental health. I will continue being a client for sure!

Northgate Dental is the best dentist office I have experienced. Staff is always positive and courteous, and my questions are answered thoroughly. Having Melissa as a hygienist has been a support for me. She always make sure I am comfortable, and provides excellent service. She really cares. Her knowledge and expertise help me maintain good dental health.

Everyone there is very nice. When you walk in you feel at home, not your typical looking dental office!

My husband and I have been going to Northgate Dental since 2014. I am so thankful to have found such caring and professional people for our dentistry needs. Yes they have a beautiful facility, but we have found so much more than that there. I have always been greeted by a friendly and professional front office staff. Shelly, Tommie, and Marissa are all amazing. Dr. Carter is the absolute best at what he does.

He always gives me quality consultation time, is caring and professional, and is thorough in every step with his dentistry skills. He has state-of-the-art equipment and methods. I had such a mess of 30+ year-old fillings that he helped re-construct to the most beautiful smile today. His dental assistant, Bev, helped walk me through long procedure days and cared for me the entire time.

Now I'm proud to smile and take pictures again. I've had a couple of emergencies occur, and the staff has called me right back. Dr. Carter has always fit me into his busiest days, and I appreciate that very much in a dentist. He always calls in the evening to check on how I'm doing after crown-work procedures. He works very hard for his patients I, without a doubt, would recommend Northgate Dental to anyone I know.

This was my dentist previously. Dr Carter does great work obviously but he overprices alot of his services even with insurance. $3,000 to remove wisdom teeth with insurance? Damn! Obviously has to charge alot to pay for his staff and that new building.

I have never been treated with such impertinence on the two occasions I visited this dental office. When I showed up to my dental appointment, Dr. Carter reprimanded me and accused me of being late and stated he does not tolerate tardiness. He spoke to me in a condescending manner and said he could not see me because I was late. I told him I was on time, in fact, I was 10 min early.

He did not care to listen and dismissed me. It turns out his receptionist mixed up the times and told me one appointment time but had another one on Dr. Carter's calendar. Honest mistake, but Dr. Carter did not handle it professionally nor respectfully as he disparaged me in front of his staff. When I returned to my rescheduled appointment, I was quoted $10,000 to fix a grinding issue and place a couple of crowns.

I sought a second opinion and I was only quoted $2,200. My new dentist requested my dental records from Northgate Dental and a few days later I received a letter from Dr. Carter stating he was dropping me as his patient because I do not "trust in his care." Very disappointed in my experience with Northgate dental.

I went here while I was living in Colorado Springs. I first have to say that the staff is amazing! Very nice and so friendly. Doctor Carter is the best dentist I've had my whole life. I had a lot of work done, and I mean A LOT (weeks upon weeks of coming in), and I didn't feel a bit of it. I would highly recommend this dentist's office to any family or friends.

After seeing the commercials on Northgate Dental this place looked classy and modern and it was near my work so thought I would switch over to Northgate Dental. I will admit the office is nice and they are definitely up to date with the latest technology which was all a plus for me but the staff just wasn't the friendliest and didn't make me feel welcome then to top it off I will say Northgate Dental is the Jiffy Lube of Dental offices.

They like to upsell services and over exaggerate a bit on your dental needs. I was told I needed to have 8 fillings done and also needed a laser treatment done to my gums. Which ended up not to be true after seeing another dentist, either way I accepted and the receptionist was supposed to call me back to schedule a time to do my fillings. Well she never called and never heard back from them till my next appointment 6 months later.

My appointment comes around and I have the flu so I call to cancel my appointment till the following week the receptionist was totally rude about my cancellation and told me they had no openings for 4 months which sounded to me as if they were punishing me for cancelling my appointment. Overall I wasn't satisfied with this office might just be my personal experience but I don't plan on going back anytime soon.

I've always been self conscious about my teeth but today was the first time I felt comfortable enough to talk with them about the things I needed. Everyone was pleasant and understanding. The environment was very comforting especially for someone with very bad anxiety and stress when it comes to the dentist. I'm excited to see where my dental experience is going to go!

By far the best dental office I've ever been to. Both doctors go to extended measures to make sure you are comfortable and truly care about their patients. I've always struggled with dental anxiety but I actually look forward to my routine hygiene appointments! The whole team is extraordinary from the front desk to the assistants in the back. Will always recommend.

Questionable billing in comparison to our new dentist. The staff and dentist also did not treat my daughters as respectful as they should have. I am not sure that the office was even billing our insurance, and I am certain I was double billed. It was suggested that additional treatments were necessary, which we learned later were not. In order to pull four winsome teeth, the cost would be $2000, up front. We went to an oral surgeon instead. The total cost was $400. Our insurance covered the rest. We paid a ton of money for lackluster dentistry and horrid costumer service.

I am absolutely terrified of even stepping foot in a dentist office. Today from the moment I showed up until the moment I let they were the nicest and sweetest ppl. Their customer service is top notch. I felt no pain at all and couldn't believe how fast it was. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially if they have anxiety abouy the dentist.

Where to even begin?! First off I would like to say that I am a person who takes comfort in a clean and well kept doctors or dentist office because it lets me know they care about their space and their patients. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out everything you see is immaculately kept. Clean surfaces, newer equipment etc. The staff greets you immediately and is very professional and caring.

Never once did I feel like just another patient. Shelly sat and personally talked with me about my bad experience that's kept me from going to the dentist regularly. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I had a deep cleaning and a full new patient work up and I cannot express my gratitude enough to Mari and the staff. I specifically remember having my teeth worked on thinking "Could it be? Am I ACTUALLY fully relaxed at the dentist and having an amazing dental experience?" Mari did an exquisite job on my deep clean.

Not once (no seriously) not once was I in even a small amount of pain. She was very thorough and was constantly making sure I was okay. I go back on Thursday to get the other half of my cleaning done and I can't believe I'm going to say this but, I'm not afraid! :) THANK YOU SO MUCH MARI!

I had written a review of this clinic earlier, giving it only 3 stars because of a billing dispute. Dr. Carter was kind enough to call me to work it out. Since I needed more dental work, I was willing to try it again after talking to him. Since then I have had 4 crowns replaced and I'm very happy with how I was treated. The staff is warm and kind, and Dr. Carter has been wonderful.

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices are high, but he has a totally up-to-date office and makes his own crowns there on the site so you don't have to wait. They are expensive but worth it. Thanks, Northgate Dental!

I have severe anxiety about dental care, and as a result have neglected my teeth for years. I can't say enough positive things about the care I have received so far from Dr. Carter and his staff! They are so kind and understanding! They offer a variety of options to help with the anxiety making good dental heath possible.

Dr. Morgan is a fabulous dentist who takes great care in his work and provides professional, high quality dental care. I highly recommended this office!

The new location is just amazing! I can't be surprised because Dr. Carter only wants the best for his patients! Ok, this is my second review. I wanted to add a few things about the new location. 1. The chairs have massage! WHAT! Yes! 2. The rinse water is warm! I can honestly say no dentist I have ever gone to had warm water for rinse during the procedure.

It has always been cold.till now. For me this was a huge comfort! 3. The equipment is even better then the other location. Hard to believe but true. 4. Decor, atmosphere.everything needs 10 stars! I was so lucky to visit on the visit the first day they were at the new location. I loved it!

Nice clean office and very friendly staff! Each and every staff member / hygienist/ dentist were VERY friendly! Everyone was professional and went the extra mile to ensure my comfort! I would highly recommend this office!

I love this dental practice and I normally hate going to the dentist! Dr. Carter and staff takes such good care of me and I'm terrified because of a past experience! I even made it through a procedure today w just laughing gas! Won't go anyplace else!

If there is a better dentist and staff in Colorado Springs it would be hard to imagine. Their professionalism, honest kindness and compassion, willingness to work through issues and a true commitment to getting it done right are nothing short of amazing. I believe one can find out the true character of a person, not when things go right, but when things take an unexpected turn.

I can tell you from experience, their true colors in those moments and the colors are warm, kind and sincere. I know I feel like I am gushing, but it is rare these days to find above average service, but to find extraordinary service coupled with great competence, well it deserves to be noted.

Northgate Dental is amazing! After searching for a dental practice that offered sedation, I was fortunate to find this practice. Dr. Carter and his entire staff are friendly, professional, and understanding of my anxiety about being at the dentist. I just started my first round of restorative treatment and I actually am looking forward to the next round because of my experience.

Thank you Northgate Dental for helping me through the treatment process and leaving me with a smile on my face as I walk out the door every time. Dr. Carter even took the time after hours to call and check on me. Above and beyond my expectations!

From the day I phoned to each appointment, I was always treated with respect. They are a professional dental office with caring staff. They even took the time to sign a birthday card for me, which included a $5 gift card to a local (healthy) yogurt place. I had a dental appointment on my birthday of all days, but they made it feel particularly special.

So KUDOS to all the staff & particularly to Dr. Carter, who genuinely takes an interest in the well-being of the health of your teeth/mouth. I was going to share the PIC I took on my birthday, but don't see an option to upload one.

I really enjoyed my visit to Northgate dental. They took their time, gave me a great cleaning. Addressed concerns, and provided exceptional service. I would highly recommend.

Over the course of my military career, I have experienced quite a few dentists during that time - some good, some not so good. Unfortunately, due to those experiences I have developed a somewhat disliking of "going to the dentist". That was until I recently retired and started visiting Dr. Carter's Northgate Dental on a regular basis. Although my family has been going there for several years now, I now am a regular too and am absolutely thrilled with my experiences, especially this week.

The staff at Northgate Dental are pleasant to deal with and very professional. I am always informed ahead of time what all of my options are and Tommy makes sure all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed so I always know before my procedure what I will be financially responsible for, and what my insurance will cover - there are never any surprises.

During this week's visit, Kristen was so awesome I completely forgot I was at the dentist! I even joked with her and said "I feel like I am at the spa". Although the procedure I was undergoing was rather intense, I was so comfortable and relaxed something uncommon for me to experience at the dentist. Dr. Carter has assembled an awesome team; created a pleasant environment; utilizes state of the art equipment; pays attention to the details; and most importantly he takes care of the client, delivering excellence with every one of my visits. I cannot thank the team over at Northgate Dental enough for what they do!

Dr. Carter and his incredible team provide the best experience I've ever known. They have a team of experts that are kind, go above and beyond of what I expected. The team is second to none not just in the care provided but in the attention to my personal needs. I've never experienced a team that was there for me on every level. They actually included me in making good choices for my dental needs (high anxiety). Thank you Dr. Carter and team, for giving me options, for understanding my budget, and for making this experience remarkable.

Seriously, worst service I have ever received by dental care. The doctor was beyond rude, it left me shocked and upset, I actually walked out. I have a lot of work to be done on my teeth, so of course I'm in pain. If you ask for pain medication from the doctor, be prepared to be completely degraded and made out to be a drug addict. (Btw I clearly do not do any drugs). Also, maybe I would pay for their extremely overpriced services if they actually cared about the patients well-being.

Their business is just about making money, that's all they care about. I cannot believe they are in business! Also, the doctor is only about 30. So he obviously doesn't have much experience. The only positive thing I will say, is that dental hygienist was extremely extremely kind and nice. She said she is leaving to Indiana in a few weeks and I am so glad for her, she deserves so much better!
