Founded by pioneering dentists Dr. Ron Weissman and Dr. Sam Shames, Gentle Dental was built on the principle that quality dental care should be accessible and continues with the goal of reducing the barriers that keep people from achieving optimal oral health.
Gentle Dental Arlington has been providing high quality, expert dental care for over 30 years. Located on Mass Ave right near city hall, our office is conveniently accessible by car, or MBTA bus. Recently renovated, our office was designed with patients in mind with a calm, cool gray and blue decor.
Gentle Dental Attleboro is located in Bristol Plaza just off Newport Ave on the Massachusetts/Rhode Island border. Recently renovated, our Attleboro dental office features all-digital x-rays and a modern, yet warm atmosphere. Our Dental Director, Dr. Joe Capua, was named "Dental Director of the Year" in 2018 by his Gentle Dental peers.
Several parking lots located around Newbury Street, along with parking garage behind building. Street parking is available, but limited. Located in an iconic 4 floor Back Bay brownstone, Newbury Dental has been a fixture on Newbury Street for over 40 years. Dr. Roberts and his staff are always great. I was super anxious about getting all 4 wisdom teeth extracted while being awake. They were all so patient, calming and always made sure I was feeling ok. I highly recommend Gentle Dental to anyone who has anxiety about visiting the dentist. They really do live up to the "gentle" in their business name.

I have been going to Gentle Dental in Burlington for years and years, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist. When we all started struggling with Covid, I always felt at ease keeping my appointments, because the entire staff strives to make you feel safe. The current staff definately gets a 5-star rating. Michelle and Rae at the front desk are always courteous and helpful.
I do not particularly care to go to the dentist; however, I have had the same "team" for what seems like forever. my hygenist, Michelle, my dentist, Dr. Kim and all the Dental Assistents could not be any more pleasant. so thank you to my Gental Dental team for doing a great job and always making me feel better about keeping my dental appointments!

This is your life, that is exactly your life, however there is a moment that is money, if you think your life never ever go there therefore I had been there for my dental appointment they told me about scheduling my appointments for the future visit then they sent some bills to my insurance like I had some service with my visit while they didn't even cleaned my tooths then they sent many stuffs to my insurance how come you billed to my insurance while you didn't even cleaned my tooths, go to local professional dentist office, not to gentle dental.
Some employees are professional some are not, how do you know? Don't take a risk, also if you want to take a risk, you are going to make schedule your future visits then all appointments have been canceled day before the time, don't waste your time, tooth means life, exactly that is your life.

Dr Revah, Christine, Dr Smith and all his support staff, dental hygienists and front desk staff are beyond amazing. Prior to becoming a patient I was embarrassed by my smile and lacked self confidence.
Upon completing my treatment plan, I regularly receive compliments on my smile, feel far more confident and outgoing both personally and professionally. This place really lives up to its name. When it comes to dental work, things can get pretty scary pretty fast if you are one to go too long between visits like me. I have to say that I have not encountered one staff member here that didn't exceed my expectations. From the front desk, to the hygienists and my dentist, Dr. Kim, everyone here is so reassuring and kind. Bonus points go to Khang.he is excellent at what he does. He is honest, skilled, knowledgeable, understanding and friendly. Good service is rare these days, but it is alive and well here!

First visit. I met Dr. Roberts for the first time. I've never met a dentist who was so detailed in explaining my personal dental situation. He made me so comfortable and has such a pleasant demeanor. I just want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Smolyar and her assistant Christine. I am a new patient to Gentle Dental and am in the process of having a root canal done which was infected. Dr. Smolyar was so professional yet at the same time sincere and concerned for me while going thru this process. She made me feel relaxed even tho i am anything but when having to be in a dentist chair.
I would trust her for any other future root canal and wouldn't be dredding it. Christine was a perfect match for her assistant and was also so professional and so nice. Thank you both for your kind treatment in caring and not treating you like you are just another person to only make money on.

The best place, no matter the urgency. They always make you feel welcome and don't make you feel judged like every other dentist office. They lay out the cost before leading you into any work so you're not surprised come payment time. Also, they work with you, making a plan of work that needs to be done along with cosmetic repairs, that help you feel better as a person.
Highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone. This location has the best customer service from the receptionist (Molly, the absolute best) all the way up to the dentist. They understand the dentist is an overall uncomfortable experience, and they go above and beyond to make sure the customer is at ease. They got me smiling again, and I can't thank them enough.

Dentists usually scare me, but Gentle Dental at Burlington has defied my fear and I now look forward to visiting them. From Amelia to the front desk, Remi the dental assistant, and Dr. Kim, the dentist, I've had such a positive experience here. All of them were caring, kind, and professional in their work. I wanted to give a shoutout to Khang/Kane, the dental hygienist; I've had such bad experiences before with cleanings, but Khang took such great care of me in a detailed, pain-free manner that I would not hesitate to have cleanings done by him again. My whole family goes here and we are happy with the service. The dentists are great, specialty departments (unfortunately I have had to see them for root canals and a pulled tooth) are wonderful and accommodating and the hygienist (Kane) is great! My two year old is just starting to go and hygienist Kane is super patient and allows my son to set the pace. Highly recommended all around!

My husband went to Gentle Dental because their price for a cleaning was$126.00 where our currant dentist was giving us a price of $257.00. Our current dentist was new to us too since our longtime dentist had retired. He went to Gentle Dental and they said he would get a cleaning, x rays and exam for a new patient promotion if $57.00. When he went they did the x rays and exam, but said he would have to come back for the cleaning which would be done in 4 deep cleaning sessions, one quarter of his mouth at a time.
The first quarter was the only thing covered under the $57.00 special. After that each quarter would be $330! Plus they said some other things needed to be done and he left with a price quote of $1,600! Needless to see he isn't going back. The $57.00 new patient exam is a scam. It is not what it says it is!

I have been very pleased with my visits here. The Staff is a pleasure to work with. Everything is explained in full detail before any work is done and the costs are discussed ahead of time as well. They will even provide a detailed estimate with insurance factored in. Dr Kim and her staff are very professional and you should forget the 1800 dentist thing and just call them. Andy M Woburn

Not exactly sure why the reviews are so bad for here. I've been coming here for over 10 years and have never had issues. Even though I don't live in the area anymore I still drive up here to get all my dental work done. I get my regular exams here, have gotten fillings, got my wisdom teeth out here, got braces here in high school. The hygienists are always super nice and Kim at the front desk is so nice to me! And the price is definitely worth it.

After going here for more than 15 years, the dentist I had been seeing left the practice with no warning. The staff was rude when I expressed my surprise and displeasure that no one called me to let me know that my appointment would not be with this dentist. (Anyone who has dental anxiety will tell you that seeing a new dentist requires some warning). ** I decided to see a new dentist, who just found HUGE problems with my fillings and crowns. Gentle Dental had said I had two areas of decay and my new dentist found more than 16! Old fillings were left in my mouth to rot and GD just told me it was fine. These people should lose their license. Rely on these reviews! Go somewhere else!

Unprofessional Costly Rude Just an overall horrendous experience. You don't have to take my word for it, let the majority of the reviews speak for themselves. Had a front crown put in just two years ago with almost $3000 out of pocket. It fell out while eating nachos within the first week chipping a back tooth of mine. After re-cementing, here I am with still no front tooth and out almost $3000 as a single dad of an 8 year old two weeks before Christmas.
This time my tooth fell out while in the shower. I baby'd the crown. Anyone who knows me knows this. Regardless, these lying scam artists tell me that its my fault and they can no longer put the crown in. I either have to pay another $700+ for a flipper, $3000 for a bridge, or over $5000 for an implant. Out of pocket since my insurance doesn't pay for it. Calling the better business bureau this week, this is asinine.
Like someone else said, the McDonalds of the dentistry industry. Dentist turns from dentist to sales woman within ten minutes its SICK. Everyone working there outta be ashamed of themselves making money by getting over on people

I signed up with gentle dental back in 2008. I started going here for cleanings and started seeing a dentist there. Funny thing is I started getting more cavities the more I saw the dentists. See a pattern? They will purposely give you faulty fillings, caps, and create more holes in your teeth. One specific time, they closed a cavity for me which they charged me for, then 4 months later, they say it was a root canal, and will have to charge me again. Um. Hello.
They are a bunch of scheming scavengers who advertise as if they actually care about the practice. They have absolutely no integrity. They will run you for your money. Beware.

I am so sorry to say, the management needs to do something about the teeth cleaning for patients. My daughter, 10, went a couple months ago, I could tell that's an unpleasant dental experience for her. She was treated roughly. She does not want to go back again. We are real patients. Please take care your services seriously, pay a bit more to hire good staff or you are loosing business.

DO NOT SCHEDULE CLEANINGS AT THIS LOCATION. Hard lesson learned, you will only see a dentist if you specify you want to see a dentist; otherwise, you will only see a hygienist. I find it extremely disappointing that you go to a "dentist" to prevent cavities yet they don't even have you see a dentist. Such a poor practice! The dentist assistant even said that the hygienist aren't qualified to see cavities. WTF! However, their orthodontist services are great!
Lesson was learned after bringing my daughter there for 2 years without knowing she wasn't seeing a dentist during her cleanings! This obviously contradicts what the owner has stated in his response.

I had my Invisalign from here. The reason I went with Gentle Dental instead of somewhere else was mainly due to the cost. Other places were quoting me at least 1-2k more. With that said, I do think the service here is not very personal though Dr. Lim is nice. Most of the girls do not make you feel very welcome. In addition, they are not very good with their scheduling and late appointments are the norm.
This is likely due to the fact that Dr. Lim is only in this office once a week so everything needs to be crammed into that one day, which is tough. I don't regret going here for my Invisalign. The results were great and it was cheaper than everyone else in the area.

This place is horrible. If you're having anything done out of the ordinary routine check-up, they will try to trick you into paying more for the service. They don't tell you how much it will cost and will throw a huge bill on you as you're leaving after surgery. Don't ever come here. They don't care about you and will keep suggesting to get stuff you don't need like prolonging your braces wear or even getting them when you're 40. They are extremely shady and unprofessional people.
