Wallingford Smiles

I moved out of the area 6 years ago, I still travel 3 1/2 hours just for a cleaning 3 times a year. If that is not a ringing endorsement I'm not sure what else can be said.

The best in Seattle the service is so very very good the DR is tops in service I am so very happy and please and that I came here you will not find no other in Seattle as good as the DR and the service they will give thank u so much for your hard work now I can say I feel so much better about my self thank you

This used to be an excellent dentist and our whole family loved the office's now retired dental hygienist, Joan. My family went here for years. My husband and I primarily saw Dr. Yang whose work even today is excellent. Unfortunately sometime during COVID he began pressuring our family to use more preventative services, including services that included extra cleanings.

We trusted him and followed his advice and my husband's gum measurements improved to lower numbers after the extra cleanings were done. Unfortunately after doing periodontal maintenance for over a year, he admitted orally that the measurements of my husband's teeth (where they count the numbers) had improved to such an extent that the extra periodontal maintenance was unnecessary.

After Dr. Yang recommended the Periodontal maintenance, my husband also began flossing every day, which Dr. Yang commented would benefit his gum measurements if it was a lasting change. As a result of this change in our home dental health and the better measurements, my husband asked more than 3 times to stop the periodontal maintenance. Despite our requests, Melinda and Dr. Yang claimed that our family could not stop the periodontal maintenance and that both the insurance and their office demanded as a condition of regular dental visits that the periodontal maintenance continue.

My husband spoke to his step father, who is a dentist in Connecticutt during a visit there. After examining his teeth, he informed us that my husband teeth and gums were fine and did not need periodontal maintenance as long as he continued to floss regularly and kept it monitored as he returned to regular twice yearly cleanings. He raised concerns that Dr. Yang was putting this pressure on us to make more money for the practice.

After already being upset at Dr. Yang and Melinda's discussion with us and their disregard for our families input in treatment, the assessment of my husband's father in law made us begin really considering changing dentists. Given our long term history with this dentist (almost a decade) we raised our concerns a final time with Dr. Yang and Melinda and told them we would no longer consent to the periodontal maintenance.

We explained that if they insisted on it, we would have to go to a new dentist who would not force unnecessary and unwanted procedures on us. They texted us to let them know where the files can be sent and were sorry to see us go. I can attach the text message at a later date to this review. I can count on one hand the number of negative reviews I have ever written in my adult life, but Dr. Yang's behavior and that of Melinda left us with a really negative feeling.

It certainly made a decade of interaction with this dentist appear to mean nothing given we no longer would agree to use increased services that we did not consent to. I no longer recommend this dentist and would urge patients considering a new dentist to looks elsewhere.

Best dentists ever. Knowledgeable, friendly and did high quality work. I never has a dentist I actually looked forward to visiting until I started going to Wallingford Smiles.

I recently had 2 wisdom extracted by Dr Yang and it was about the best experience one could hope for with teeth pulling. Chelsea helped get me settled in the chair and kept a warm friendly demeanor throughout the process! Dr. Yang explained everything to me and constantly checked in with me as the procedure was happening in real time. I felt cared for and heard the whole time and after as well. The front desk people are great and so helpful going over pricing and insurance too.

I am a retired dentist. My smile was looking older than I wanted. Dr. Yang gave me beautiful results with some very conservative dental procedures. He is an extremely competent and knowledgeable dentist with great esthetic skills. I highly recommend Wallingford Smiles.

I'm very happy with my care at this clinic. From the professional and friendly reception staff to their really great dental assistants and finally, both Dr. Kuo and Dr. Yang. A friend recommended Wallingford Smiles and I am thankful for the recommendation. I have seen Dr. Kuo several times now and she is really easy going and explains her treatment plan with you in detail.

She is caring and will listen which is really important to me. I just met Dr. Yang for the first time today and I am so impressed by his work. I haven't been happy with my fillings on my front teeth for the longest time (previously done elsewhere). My dentin was worn and the priority was to restore and support the teeth with fillings to avoid fractures or cracked teeth.

His attention to detail really blew me away. He reshaped, he smoothed out, he made my teeth look better than I expected. I also fell a sleep while he worked on my teeth. I have had some bad dental work and it definitely has made me anxious, but I am beginning to lose my dental fear and trust the professionals at Wallingford Smiles :) Thank you!

Outstanding dental practice! Very warm, welcoming, professional, and experienced staff. The front desk ladies are very knowledgeable and organized, my hygienist Lisa was gentle and educational, the dentist assistant Michelle always makes sure I'm comfortable during procedures and let me watch Netflix during the appointment. I have met both Dr. Yang and Dr. Kuo and they both provided excellent customer service and thorough explanation during my new patient exam, and treatment appointments. This is a very beautiful, modern and clean office. Would 100% recommend this office to anyone!

I have had two wonderful experiences at Wallingford Smiles, thus far, and I look forward to many more. The location is very convenient and I found street parking right away. The interior is beautiful and very welcoming! I love the family pictures in the front and all of the pictures from around the world on the patient televisions. I found the patient televisions to be very helpful for distraction during the procedures and was impressed with the number of options we have for shows!

I also appreciated that the television is utilized for education as well. I am a visual person and it was very helpful for me to have Dr. Kuo explain everything while utilizing the x-ray as a visual aid. The bedside manners of both dentists, as well as Michelle the dental assistant, were excellent! I felt welcome and at ease, and I will most definitely be returning for all of my dental needs. I will also be referring Wallingford Smiles to all of my friends and colleagues. Thank you for such a remarkable experience and exceptional service!

Great patient care and dental work! I've had fillings (both cavities and cosmetic repair), regular cleanings, and professional whitening done here and the dentists are great. I really like that you are clearly presented with your invoice before moving forward with a procedure so that you know exactly what to expect. Staff is super friendly which is always a plus!

After going to the same dentist in Illinois for 30 years, I lucked out when selecting Wallingford Smiles based on their convenient location. It is an excellent practice and clean facility. Everything that needed to be done was explained clearly. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. Joan is a wonderful hygienist; there are small but nice touches (like lemon or lavender hot towels after a cleaning) that make the experience that much better. I have no problem recommending this place.

Going to dentist is not exactly something to look forward to, except when going to the Wallingford Smiles. The office staff was very attentive to my comfort and well being. Nice office, state of the art equipment. I felt well taken care of by the whole friendly staff. Dr. Yang provided excellent care and explanations of the dental procedures. Highly recommend.
