Here's my story; it's Friday, and my girlfriend and I will be heading on a 2-week trip to Scotland and Ireland tomorrow (Sat) to see the country, and dance a little Argentine Tango in about 5 different cities. Last night I got a small chip in one of my two top front teeth, so time was of the essence to quickly find a dentist in the area who would fix this tooth, and smooth-out the other on such short notice. Granted, this wasn't an "emergency" but if this wasn't fixed I would have been self-conscious about my smile, especially with fellow travelers on the tour, and with other dancers at the tango events we're planning to attend.

After contacting several dentists, I discovered most of them aren't open on Friday's, or reserve this day for more complex treatments. I called Dr. Horne in Encinitas who couldn't fit me in, but his staff took the time to contact another dentist on my behalf, who I ended up going with since they were about the only ones able to accommodate me on such short notice. My teeth were fixed and disaster averted. A special thanks to Dr Horne and his staff for a job well-done and being so gracious to help me out in this time of need.

Dental assistant had continual cough and clearing throat. Should have stayed home. Very small and noisy office. Hearing patients and the other assistant's life stories was annoying. Couldn't even hear what my hygienist was saying. Left with headache, anxiety, and feeling clostrophobic. Not returning.

Clean and friendly every single time. Love his hygienist, Tara. And Dr. Horne is the very best dentist.

Dr. Horne takes every measure to insure you are comfortable during procedures. My tooth was "nervy" and he made sure I was numb to my comfort. His staff are so caring, professional, and fun." I highly recommend them!

Excellent crown replacement. In 3 hours, I left with a perfectly fitted porcelain crown on a back molar. Dr Horne used the perfect amount of numbing. Felt no pain at any time but I had recovered sensation by the time I got home. Very pleased with my experience and result. I really like the crown replacement without having to return days later and need numbing again.

I especially like that there is no tension between the doctor and his assistant. They work smoothly as a unit. I have been to dentists who made me feel tense from the war going on in my mouth between dentist and assistant. I recommend this office without reservations. It is a calm and positive environment.

Dr Horne and Team at Encinitas dentistry are fabulous. I've been coming here for 6+ years, and every visit I am greeted kindly by Melanie and Michelle, and Michelle (hygienist) is just the funniest, sweetest woman! My husband and his family have been coming here for >10yrs now, and we simply cannot recommend it enough.

Dr. Horne & all his associates are nothing less than great!. Professional, personable, & amazingly upbeat. This is a practice where you actually look forward to your dental visits. Any work that needs to be referred elsewhere; is nothing less than the best! I can't say enough kudos re: this Doctor & his practice!

I am not one to write reviews, but because of the high level of service we received at Dr. Horne's office, I feel inspired to share my experience. Dr. Horne: Professional, skilled, and has great bedside manner. We had a dental emergency on a weekend; he was responsive and caring. Despite the stress we were experiencing, he helped us to feel calm and reassured.

Office Staff: Helpful and responsive. They are able to work around our busy schedules, even offering weeknight appointments. They have helped us to navigate complicated insurance issues with ease. Hygienists: Professional and thorough. They also help to educate patients on proper dental care while at home. Overall: This is an excellent dental office. If you're searching for a dentist in the area, look no further. We are so glad we found Dr. Horne's practice!

Dr. Horne and his staff are the best. They're so kind and professional. They're great about getting you in and working around your schedule. Dental cleanings are extremely thorough and Dr. Horne's work is meticulous. I always feel comfortable in the chair and always happy with the results. He has been my dentist for over 9 years now and refer him to everyone.

I don't think I've ever used the word "happy" to describe a dentist's office but it fits. The office is funky just as you would expect being in Leucadia. It has an awesome staff and a relaxed atmosphere sure to calm nerves. Dr. Steve Horne is personable, efficient and trustworthy. Great experience.

SIMPLY THE BEST- BETTER THAN ALL THE REST, as the song goes! Dr. Horne is a master, and I and so grateful and happy to have the benefit of his skill and experience. He is extremely dedicated, personable, and he and his practice uphold the highest standard. The dental hygienists are the best I have ever had. Our community is extremely fortunate to have Dr. Horne and his team.

This is the best dental office! My entire family loves it and Dr. Horne and his staff and so kind and wonderful. They are also extremely helpful and patient with scheduling. So thankful to have such a great dental office to enjoy and refer to others.

I had such an amazing visit with Dr. Horne and staff. I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of this office. I grew up with my father as a dentist so I have a little different perspective since i was always able to trust my father to take excellent care of me. Not usually one to write reviews, but was impressed with my visit with Dr. Horne last night. Like most people I work during the day and appreciated the evening appt. and was there until they closed at 8pm! They didn't try to rush me out and Dr. Horne took his time and was meticulous in his work that he did on my tooth. I was never in pain and totally relaxed during the entire procedure. Also, Dr. Horne and his staff were easy to talk to and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend. He has already seen my daughter and will be sending my other kids as well!

Patient service is over the top here at Dr. Horne's office. All the staff is professional, accomodating and very kind. Would not hesitate to recommend to any family member or friend.

The care I received from Dr. Horne & his wonderful staff was excellent! I was looking for a second opinion & hoping that some dental work could be done before the holidays & his employee in the front office went above & beyond to get me an appointment. Had my first procedure with Dr. Horne today. He is and his staff members are terrific. They were kind and understanding around my fear of the dentist and really went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Horne and his office.
