We love to assist Dr. Swatman in motivating and educating our patients so that they understand the full benefits of orthodontics and realize the importance of a shared commitment between the patient, parent and orthodontic team. We represent many years of experience in the orthodontic field and each team member has received special training in orthodontics.
Dr. Matt Swatman received his dental degree in 1989 from the University of California in San Francisco. He completed his general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Martinez, and worked as a general dentist for several years in Modesto before returning to the University of Pacific to attain a master's degree and specialty training in orthodontics.
Our office showcases a modern and innovative design that appeals to both children and adults alike. Our office is equipped with digital radiography, digital photography and advanced computer graphics. There are computers at each chair side in the treatment bay as well as the reception area which allows us to utilize paperless records.
We are also available to answer questions or schedule appointments - hours vary. Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you and we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. We request prior notice if you need to cancel your appointment or change your appointment time.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Swatman's for years. He was always kind gentle and his staff went out of their way to make her always feel comfortable. And now that I am a patient of theirs as an adult I get to experience with my kids went through. Braces are difficult for adults but when you go to a knowledgeable caring orthodontist who truly cares and his staff that is outgoing and kind it makes a huge difference. Thanks for being a great office guys.

Dr. Swatman and his crew are absolutely amazing! Scheduling is a breeze and my appointments never took longer than maybe 30 minutes max. Something important to note is that they never made me feel like I was ugly because my teeth weren't perfect. This is huge because as an adult I was very self conscious of my smile and how I came off to people. In summary, I really enjoyed my care and will continue to see them through my retainer phase and beyond. Thank you guys for the smile you helped to shape!

This is by far the coolest office I've ever been to. Going to appointments there feels more like visiting with friends. All of the girls are so sweet and Dr. Swatman is always warm and friendly. Truly the best! I'd recommend this office to anyone interested in braces that wants to go to an office that makes you feel like your business is appreciated!

Dr. Swatman AND team are truly a joy to work with. We had 3 consults in Modesto and he was the 3rd. He was recommended by a friend. Our consults involved a low end clinic, a high end clinic, and Dr. Swatman was middle of the road. The high end clinic dr wanted to change the structure of my daughters mouth to accommodate what he felt was the perfect smile. Mechanically, she didn't need any expansion to achieve such outcome.
That dr merely wanted to add cost and create his own look. I saw right through that and would never suggest that dr. And a few of my friends had referred me to him. From Dr Swatman's assessment, he laid out what needed to be achieved to correct what was going on and explained thoroughly how that would transpire. Gayle is/was billing/insurance piece and she was so easy to work with and always a joy to see. And, they are committed to keeping you as a customer with competitive pricing and for your kids that may follow.

I had gone to Dr. Swatman, back in 2007, and they were removed back in 2009. I'm hoping my insurance will partially cover my re-needing of getting braces, because I fully enjoyed my past experience at this office. Dr. Swatman and his wife were always welcoming and friendly and he always so patient to answer any questions that I had. As a teenager, I was very comfortable with him, so this is an excellent facility for folks of all ages to get their braces! He's also knowledgeable in his field of expertise!
