Not good with children I highly don't recommend this place unless you want unnecessary comments thrown at you about your child.

Thank you for all your good service, Dr Hart & staff especially Theresa who's been there for my son's cleaning all the time. You guys are great!

Parents be warned this dentist is only out for the money and she tries to tell you there is way more work needed for your children then there actually is. Even if you just want a routine preventative cleaning and check up it will cost you over $300 for one child! Unfortunately our dentist passed away so we were looking for a new dentist and happened to come here.

She tried telling me both of my children were tongue tied and both upper and lower lip tied. And of course the cost to fix all the ties on both children was going to be over $1600. When we went for a second opinion elsewhere the dentist said neither one of my children were tongue or lip tied! Both of my children can reach their nose with their tongue so I already knew they weren't tongue tied by any means.

Also she tried telling me my son had around 20 cavities and was going to cost me over $8,000 to fix after insurance. When we got our second opinion he had 10 and it cost me $2300 after our insurance. Thankfully we found an honest dentist out there with reasonable pricing to help my son out. Please take my story into consideration before coming here it will save you time and a lot of money.

I called to make an appointment for a new patient and asked if they take my insurance, since it changed this year. They lady on the phone was really rude and she said that I would have to call my insurance to verify if their office takes my insurance, I asked her do you do that she said no because, they take a long time to answer.

They generally want to make appointments in the morning which is quite annoying, since my girls are in school. They got quite annoyed when I used to tell them that we needed afternoon appointments to meet our needs. Furthermore my oldest daughter had "work done" but we aren't sure if they even did anything. They still charged us! It was quite upsetting so we transferred. Definitely won't be going back.

My daughter went to see Dr. Hart and she left left crying. Not a good experience! Story changed from 7 cavities to 3 in the matter if a minute and a list of high $ add ons. Needless to say, not returning. UPDATE: After this visit (the next day) my wife took our daughter to a reputable dentist here in Modesto for a second opinion. After a thorough examination there were NO CAVITIES! Parents beware!

I took my child there and they wanted to put him to sleep to do work on I refused and said he will get a tooth infection that will kill him.

Dr Toshi Hart is wonderful pediatric dentist. My children really liked her. She's patient & kind. Their office staff was great with my children. She is highly recommended by many people. Check out comments from parents! They have TV's for children to watch while having teeth cleaning

Hardly ever do I give a business or a practice a low rating but I finally got to the end of my rope with my recent visits to this office, for my children. Unfortunately, some of the procedures and recommendations they make are 1. not necessary, 2. based strictly on their newfound technology and the sales pitch to sell it, 3. outrageously unaffordable prices for all types of insurance, and 4. made mostly by the assistants there and not by the actual dentist, without further explanation.

I finally moved my children to my own personal dentist that my husband and I go to and one of my children has already had their initial visit and it was determined that he did NOT have any cavities which is what Toshi Hart stated and that he also did NOT need a surgery that she was recommending either. Incredible! I only deal with honest businesses and individuals.

Being in sales myself, I understand the entire process of selling and have done this for 24 years of my career. The difference is that I don't gouge my customers or make ridiculous and unnecessary recommendations and I look out for my customers, to provide them the finest customer experience. This has materialized into having the longest running business partnerships over the years and loyal customers. The minute you start to employ some of Toshi Hart's practices, it is guaranteed you will lose respectable customers.

We have been going to Dr. Hart for years and they have always been great. But this last appointment I was slightly disappointed. They give the children a token at the end of the visit to retrieve a ball from the machine; very cute idea. But the machine had given my child two balls instead of one and they made him return it. I thought that was cheap and rude.

We pay enough for dental care and I don't think the extra ball would cost them much at all. The other problem I have is making appointments. They are always wanting to make appointments in the morning. Children are in school at that time. If you are in a business solely aimed for children, you would think you would adjust your times to meet their needs.

The more the child misses school the farther behind they become. Between dentist appointments, doctor appointments and just becoming ill we try to limit their time missing school. Dr. Hart's office makes that very difficult.

I admit my child has a spirit of fear in her and Dr. Hart and the staff tried hard to work on her but to no avail. What disturbed us was the recommendation for anesthesia to be used to fill a small cavity. We were not going to do that. They even tried to guilt and pressure us into the procedure. We sought a second opinion of course with our dentist Dr. Rickey.

When they examined our daughters tooth they were shocked to hear that any dentist would recommend putting a child under for such a small cavity. They did some very minor work and she has never had any problems with the tooth. We are not fans of Dr. Hart.

Very happy we are so lucky to have Dr Toshi Hart all these years! My son has special needs & they really take care of him- he gets used to same place & people! Theresa, you do awesome job & all the staff - we appreciate your work & time! From Jordan & family- we love you, Dr Toshi Hart

Our family has consistently had a positive experience with Dr. Hart and her staff. Our 11yo daughter who had 3 teeth removed earlier today says to give a 5 star review. She felt well supported and cared for during her office visit. Staff was sensitive and responsive to our child--which we appreciate greatly! We recommend Dr. Hart without reservation.

How can anyone who clearly dislikes children This much want to be a pediatric dentist. This woman is a nightmare for both kids and adults. She is insulting rude, obnoxious and condescending. I can only assume her bullying, and just plain meanness is an attempt to cover over her lack of competence. There are a lot of dentists in town, ho one really needs to put up with this.

Toshi Hart is HORRIBLE! She is cold, insulting, and rude. Traumatizing experience. It is funny how these people get to work with kids. She rides in a broom! I do not recommend her to my worst enemy.

Great customer service, and the staff is great with kids! There's a play area in the waiting room, and the kids can watch TV screens above them while they're getting work done. They let parents go sit in the back with their kids which I especially appreciate. I go with 3 kids and they are good at helping me get them all checked out.

Dr Hart is a fantastic children's dentist. She and her staff are kind and caring, and provide excellent service to their patients. She has infinite patience with small children and provides a great basis for a child to have a lifetime of confidence for future dental visits. I'd give her 10 stars if it were possible!

A couple of the dental assistants were great with the kids, but the lady collecting the money has been rude multiple times and criticizes us for not wanting to agree to some of their overpriced services. I wish the place were better, but we're going to find a new dentist for our family.

The energy in the room changed when we questioned procedures she recommended, as well as when we disagreed with her suggestion to give our child fluoride. Prices are ridiculously inflated and her bed side manner.well- lacks. I am not taking my kids back.

My daughter has been with Dr. Hart since we moved to Modesto in 2003. This whole practice is very professional and patient with children. The atmosphere is very children oriented. Besides cleanings, we have had numerous teeth pulled to help with her braces. I feel my daughter is safe in her dentist's hands. I would recommend this practice to any with children. I would recommend Dr. Hart to anyone looking for a great dentist. Our visits have always been very pleasant, my son had cavities and she made the procedure fast and painless. Thank you Dr. Hart & Staff for a great job!

She restrained my 5 year old daughter and gave her a fear of dentist to this day. She was unsympathetic to my desire to stop procedure due to my daughter's anxiety. I regret not unstrapping her and carrying her out. It was traumatic.

Our children have had a great experience with Dr. Hart and her staff. They never complain about having to go to the dentist, and seem to actually look forward to their visits. The office is clean and well decorated for a child-friendly atmosphere, with a fun play area in the waiting room and tv's in each of the rooms. Staff are friendly and help put the children at ease. Dr. Hart is great with the children as well, and very good at talking to both the children and their parents. We feel fortunate to have her as part of our extended family!

Our daughter LOVES going to Dr. Hart! The staff is so sweet and treat her with such kindness and respect, it warms my heart. We recently had to take our daughter in for a procedure that needed her to be IV sedated. My husband and I were a wreck, but they treated us and more importantly our daughter so well and did everything in their power to make us comfortable.

We feel so safe to have our children under the care of Dr. Hart and her staff! I recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentist for their children! Your kids will LOVE all the fun stuff they get to do from the playhouse in the waiting room, the movies, the video games, the balloons, and the toy chest, and you will love the excellent service and knowledge they provide for you.

My son needed quite a bit of work done and I loved how Dr. Hart and the staff took the time to explain to me what everything entailed. Everyone in the office is very professional and willing to work with you as well as your child's needs. They do a wonderful job, even now with my 2yr old daughter. I definitely recommend the office to anyone with children.
