Dr. Steve Cook grew up on the central coast of California, where his father practiced dentistry for many years. He left California for the flatlands of Texas to attend college at Abilene Christian University.

As a new patient, I was treated very well. Pinkie the hygienist treated me with kindness, and was very reassuring, as I'm very nervous at a dentist office. Dr. Cook explained what my issues were, and let me know what his thoughts were. I told him how nervous I was, and he quickly put me at ease. Great dental office!

Dr. Cook and his team have been my go-to dentistry office since I graduated from UT Austin back in 2013! I have nothing but good things to say about the practice's personnel, appointment scheduling experience, payment, and follow-up. Not only have they taken care of my preventative care, but I also had a great experience with them throughout the Invisalign Express process. Facility was state of the art as well as beautiful and relaxing. Jenny my radiologist was very friendly but efficient and calming. Dr. Perna was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and honestly, cool! She walked me through all of her recommendations and very clearly explained the "why" behind each of them. Lastly, my cleaning with Emily was the most comfortable cleaning I've ever had. Seriously so impressed by my visit. I was referred to an oral surgeon for my case and conveniently there is one in the building!

As a child of the archaic dentistry of the 50's, I had a healthy fear of the dentist. Martina (dental hygienist) and Dr. Cook have been patient and compassionate with me over the last 10 years. They take the time to discuss your dental care and make sure you understand your options. Dr. Cook has especially helped me overcome my fear through his gentle manner.

Dr. Steve Cook and team are absolutely fantastic. I've never experienced such a thorough and genuinely caring dentist. Dr. Cook sees to it that all my questions are answered. I never feel rushed, pressured to get work done in my mouth, or like a random patient number. Dr Cook goes above and beyond for his patients, laying out every option, asking what I feel most comfortable with, then offers up feedback when I am unsure of which option is best.
This is the third dentist I've checked out since moving to Austin and it's definitely my permanent office of choice as of last year. ACD is clean, professional, knowledgeable, and client focused. Thank you Dr Cook and ACD Team! Y'all are the best in town.

This is by far my favorite dentist office. They are always super friendly. Dr. Cook is an amazing dentist. Both my husband and myself have done Invisalign with him and it's been a seamless process. The hygienists are always thorough with cleanings. If you're looking for a new dentist, look no further!

Best. Dentist. Ever. I have been a patient of Dr. Cook's for so long I can't even remember. But, I do remember this: he is absolutely the best dentist I have ever seen in my life! He helped me complete a restoration that started when I was around 10 years old and, well I won't reveal my age now but let's say it's been a long time. And, I couldn't be happier!
He listens and his work is excellent! What more can I say? Seeing is believing. You simply must pay a visit to Austin City Dental and find out for yourself. The entire staff is so caring and excellent! And, if anyone ever told you there was not such a thing as painless dentistry then you were sadly misinformed. I have been through more dental treatments than I care to think about but I literally just left his office this afternoon and I only do my teeth look good, they function properly (yes, that's very important!) And I'm feeling very well, too!

As is always the case, my experience was five-star as noted above. As instructed, I called the office from downstairs ten minutes before my appointment time. I was told to come up, I was greeted at the door, a few temperature measurements were made, and in less than a minute I was escorted to my semi-yearly cleaning and treatment room where Martina did her usual superb job.
Before leaving, she scheduled my next appointment, and escorted me to the front desk where the appointment was confirmed and I paid for services rendered. I was out in less than an hour. By the way, there was nothing unusual about any of this. This happens every time I visit Austin City Dental.
