I came here to get fix my crooked teeth. Dr. Ray explained all the different procedures and all the queries I had and I went through the Invisalign program. The staff is quite friendly and Dr. Ray always checked in on different points of an year and a half process. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to try Invisalign to go through Dr. Ray, he is a pro.

My family and I have been going here for years and like most of the people EXCEPT ROSALIE. She is rude, unfriendly, unprofessional, and to us as African Americans she seems flat out racist and bias. Even after complaining to the higher authority there it seems as nothing is done AT ALL to stop her. Instead we've been harassed and treated inappropriately by her friend/colleague Tatiana.
In these trying times people should spend their hard earned money where they are respected and appreciated and Clear Choice Orthodontics is DEFINITELY NOT that place. *WARNING* Stay AWAY from this place especially PEOPLE OF COLOR.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ray McLendon since 2017 and he has been wonderful. He always finds ways to accommodate me when I have lost or broken my retainers and produces the best results. I am so glad I made the decision to visit ClearChoiceOrtho in the past, otherwise I would not have met such a wonderful and selfless human being!

They are the worst. Every appointment I've had, I've had to wait about 1- 1.5hrs to finally get checked. Just to change out my brackets! The staff seems to be incompetent and the orthodontists are even worse. They have shifted my teeth multiple times and in some cases have made them worse when I started!. How does that even happen? What should be only about a year top worth of braces have turned into 3 yrs and in the process the office has moved further away which I drive about 1 hr to see them.
Trust me, I have tried switching orthodontist but I would be paying as if I would be starting the process again and I've already spent so much. They have no sense of urgency nor consideration of patients time. They need to understand that people take off work just for this. They are the worse and would advise against this doctor and office at all costs!

I cannot say enough good about Clear Choice and their staff. I had my braces for over two years and they made the process very smooth. I loved all of the staff and Dr. Ray McLendon and Dan Hennigan. They both are very helpful and friendly. I received a great treatment here and if you are looking for an orthodontic office in Friendswood, this is it!

I wish I could give these people no stars, this was by far the WORST orthodontist experience I've ever had! Long story short, I paid for my clear braces out of pocket (around $5,000) and had to transfer out bc I moved states and tried to get a refund on my retainers that I paid for already only to be told no because I was "in treatment" way past my contract period and I actually owed them money for that time (I was not even seen because I couldn't travel 8 hours to be seen) and instead of me paying them they were so gracious enough and said they would call it "even" and not give me my retainer money. Dr was horrible and did nothing when I would go. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE SCAMMERS!

Trisha is the BEST consult here! This is unfortunately my 2nd time to get braces, but fault of my own definitely not here! They are so sweet and obviously love what they do! They listen to everything you have to say, all your concerns and definitely give you piece of mind! I recommend this place to all my friends and family!

UPDATE! Good news everyone! We are currently seeing another orthodontist at another practice who is getting my son taken care of. As of today, August 24, 2016, the credit on the account that was supposed to be sent out in January is going to be sent out. They were unable to send the check because they needed to verify the address and no one could get in touch with us.
Same address and phone for ten years. After I reminded them the Doctor and I had already had a conversation confirming my information they realized the confirmation was in the system. This is just another example of the communication issues within this practice. Stay away from this place, the service is horrible. Son was placed on two year treatment plan in August 2013. Added a forsus in early 2015 at the office's recommendation.
We were told in the summer that everything went well and he could have his braces taken out in August. Upon arriving to that appointment we were met with the main orthodontist who said the braces needed to stay on for another three months. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the lack of consistency between the doctors; but, agreed to come back three months later.
The orthodontist actually came out and we scheduled an appointment of November 10th. Upon arrival today (November 10th), the office is locked and closed for the day. We contacted the main line and were told our appointment was cancelled and we would have to reschedule. No call, no notification. I am currently waiting for a call back explaining why this has happened. Simply unacceptable. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and go with a different company.

I started Invisalign over a year ago here. They pay a lot of attention at the beginning (before you start) which is nice. The treatment itself has been fine. Every appointment seems rushed with the doctor. My biggest complaint is they have very very limited availability for Invisalign appointments. 2 days a week and no Fridays - very inconvenient.
If you're busy busy busy (like I am) make sure you consider this and ask around if you're looking for Invisalign providers. I've found that I have to push out appointments 3 weeks sometimes because of limited availability, which prolongs treatment time.

I received amazing service from Tricia at Clear Choice Orthodontic. She was always very thorough, and explained in detail what the best option for my teeth (and my wallet) would be. I had both braces and Invisalign done by Dr. Mac & Dr. G. I did both to speed up my dental process for my wedding. I was very pleased with the service provided by everyone.

This review is for Clear Choice in The Woodlands. My daughter had braces for three years, followed by regular retainer use. Shortly after we moved here, she broke it. We made an appt at clear choice for a new retainer since we were too far from her previous ortho. Waited two weeks to get in, not a big deal, but when we got there we were told her teeth had shifted too much and she would need invisalign to straighten them back out before we could do a retainer.
I was told it would be around 600 for the treatment. Not being am orthodontist, and having a teen freaking out about her teeth, I agreed. While they are VERY good about collecting payment, they are HORRIBLE at giving the devices. We went through several devices, each time waiting over a month for the new one. Now I am being told the original payment only covered three devices and that it will be another 600.00!
This comes after they took new impressions and I was told on two separate occasions that there would not be any additional charge. I am being told now that I shouldn't have been told that and that the original person handling the cost was incorrect about the total price. Now we are without retainer and will have to go to a new ortho to straighten out their mess. They are only in it for the money. With all the great options in The Woodlands, save yourself some grief and go elsewhere.

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! experience that I have been having at this office my daughter has had her braces in for at least 8months starting this process with this office was good but after a month going in has been the worst roller coaster ride of my life. the staff is friendly and they do make you feel comfortable. my bad experience with this office comes in with the doctor who wants to extract my daughter side teeth after having braces for 8 months and not explain why and when I asked questions of why all of a sudden you need to extract he would not explain, at the appointment I ask several questions regarding the fact and he acted as though he did not have to explain that it needed to be done and removed her brackets and just insisted from me to go to another dentist office and have it completed and then return back to his office to have brackets put back on.
So leaving the office with no brackets on and frustrated I called another orthodontics office to see if I could get a second opinion I called clear choice and asked for my daughter records to be emailed to another office so that I can consult with someone else they never sent file told me that if they send my file then that means I am canceling service and moving to another orthodontics office at this moment I'm burning hot!
I called again trying to get someone to explain to me why does the doctor wants to extract 4 teeth and feels the need not to explain. now my daughter is walking around was partial braces and I'm pissed! until I find another ortho, by the way I was referred to this office and she says that they never use to be like this different doctor and office staff

I had a great experience and I will recommend Clear Choice Dental in Friendswood to all my friends. Trish is amazing. I was clueless to the entire process and she was very patient and took time (over an hour) to explain the financing (no pressure sales) and procedures. She went above and beyond to help me. She is very personable. They also have payment plans that are affordable for all incomes.
The office is clean and they have state of the art equipment. I have been to over 6 orthodontist and I am glad I chose Clear Choice Dental in Friendswood. The rest of the staff was pleasant as well. The Dr was patient and through. He explained worse case scenarios and offered services that other orthodontist failed to mention or include. I was also educated that kids do NOT have to wait until they lose all their baby teeth to get braces.parents don't wait.

I just got my braces on at the Bammel Westfield office a little over a month ago and I am so impressed! I already see such a big change and I just love Dr. Mejia. He is so nice, kind, gentle and very knowledgeable. Dr. Mejia works closely with the owner Dr. McLendon on my treatment to ensure the best results. All the medical and administrative staff is wonderful and very accommodating.
The call center is so professional and welcoming when answering the phones. I am very excited for the end result of my treatment, and I would definitely recommend Clear Choice Orthodontics to anyone looking for braces or Invisalign.

Ray McLendon doesn't even deserve one star. He ruined my teeth and doesn't even care. He sees the patient one time during the first encounter to seal the deal and then you are left at the mercy of incompetent, rude and careless doctors that are hired on a weekly basis. I saw 8 different orthodontist over a period of one year. Negligence, mistakes and bad decision making is the hallmark of this practice. I don't think he is a physician rather he is greedy businessman and excellent salesperson with no compassion. what a shame!

In very beginning they were charging copays for our visits that our insurance said they shouldn't. Then brackets would fall off of my sons braces before we even got home. Now his forsus appliance keeps coming apart because they don't take the time to tighten it on there. Four trips in five days. Started with two 32 mm rods. Tech replaced one with a 29mm rod.
So now he's got two different sizes. Take him in again, tell the tech about the size discrepancy, she rolls her eyes at me and her and the doctor proceed to replace it with ANOTHER WRONG SIZE ROD. Fourth trip culminated in actually getting two rods of the same size in my sons mouth. Kind of important when the whole goal is to alight his jaw! They are always in such a hurry that their work is shoddy. I've lived in five states and have never lived anywhere where such subpar professional services are considered the norm.

I came here for consultation on metal braces mid-March. Dr. Mijar is warm and friendly. He said he will look over my case and I can come back in 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks thinking someone will contact me to set an appointment. I had to call and schedule an appointment (Hint 1). I went to see my dentist and she wanted to know his recommendation on my particular teeth situation, but his office never sent anything in.
I told her what he told me though but she wanted to confirm. Apparently this is what she found out: the office had zero notes on my case (Hint 2); He literally told my dentist over the phone that it's ok to extract both wisdom teeth or I could use a bridge for one of the wisdom teeth to fill in the gap (Hint 3). This dude never mentioned ANY of that.
He said I could keep that one wisdom tooth and no need for an implant. Nothing was said about the other tooth. So where in the world did he gather his information? Oh that's right, His ass didn't write down any notes. **eyeroll** (Hint 4) The day I came in for the 2nd consultation, I spoke with Dr. Mijar for a minute or less. Their finance guy did the rest of the talking.
I guess the 2-week wait time was preparation for braces installation. They were ready for me to begin my braces treatment that day but I definitely was not expecting that and I was not ready. In spite of that nonsense, all employees that I interacted with were polite and nice. I have never had braces in my life so I don't feel this guy is trustworthy. As for the business as a whole, who knows. Time will tell.

This review is for the Bammel Westfield location. The staff here is awesome and has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to answering my questions and concerns. The only drawback I have is that sometimes the way a few of the dental associates put in my bottom braces wire can be REALLY uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this is due to my last bracket being so close to my back cheek. It's just a little frustrating having to go back a few days after getting my wire changed just so they can reposition the end of the wire.
But in their defense, the wire doesn't feel uncomfortable till the next day or so, so they wouldn't have known. That being said, I've still had a wonderful experience at this location and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I have been visiting the Bammel Westfield location since March of 2014, what started of as an amazing experience has turned into a trip to orthodontic HELL! When I first went in to have my spacers put in I had to return four times within the same week because the dental assistant continued to put them in improperly. I swept this inconvenience under the rug because I was aware that the contact between my back teeth were pretty tight to begin so I could understand them having a little trouble.
In May of 2014 I finally had my metal braces put on, they were put on properly and I had hardly any pain throughout the entire eight weeks. However I had an appointment today where I was scheduled to get my braces tightened and the power chains installed, along with new rubber bands. Typical treatment for braces. After getting in my car after treatment I noticed a few of my rubber bands where not put on correctly, they were barley hanging on in certain areas.
I went back in the office and had them to fix the issue. What frustrated me the most was that when I went back into the office the young lady who had treated me said " oh those rubber bands are just so hard to put on when we have to put the power-chains in as well" ummm so does this mean its okay to half do a job just because its "hard"? I don't think so.
Well after I made it down the street to a nearby bookstore I felt the actual power chains popping in my mouth. At this time it was only 12:20 so I rushed back to the office because they are not scheduled to close until 1:00 PM on a Saturday. Upon returning I found the office to be closed at 12:37 PM all the lights off and all employees gone! I called the emergency contact number at least 10 times and left voice mails as well.
At this time I have yet to receive a call back from anyone. They are closed on Monday therefore I have to experience this extreme discomfort until Tuesday. I have never experienced anything this unprofessional in my lifetime. And they should strip Ray McClendon's name off the billboard because this is such a disgrace to someone who is so highly regarded throughout the dental industry.

I got my Invisalign done there and I love the results. My case was complicated and they were able to handle without issues. I can comfortably say, these guys are Invisalign experts. Appointments are easy in and out. The only draw back is that they are very busy. So, don't miss your appointment or you will have difficulty rescheduling.

Had some scheduling issues over the phone, but was not bothered My initial reaction was "WOW". clean facility, some nice people in the reception area, free arcade, loved the discount price they gave me with my insurance and up front cash option. seemed to be good. (son getting braces) But a day later. Somewhat disappointed. Called the day after my sons consultation, after talking to the Oral Surgeon that THEY referred me to, who asked for a letter of what they needed him to do (what teeth to extract) in able to actually get the braces and was told that they would e-mail me one. Got a call on Thursday stating that they would not be able to give me one until I paid the $500 deposit?
I was not only referred to them by 2 other people, but have insurance and every intention of using them and paying cash out not using any payment plan to save an additional $200+, but now I guess I have to find someone else who will provide a letter for the Oral Surgeon to do his work. I still liked the facility and the staff on our initial consultation.
Someone suggested Advance Orthodontics and on the phone they said they do give letters. we will see. Clear Choice is close to home and that would have been convenient, but oh well. I guess the wow factor is only for your first time visit

I have been getting the Invisialign treatment here for 9 months and have mixed reviews. However, the cons end up outweighing the pros so far. Pros: - I like Dr. McLandon and have confidence in his qualifications - The office is very quick once you're there. I have been able to get in and out in under 20 min. Cons: - I've only seen Dr. McLandon twice at the very beginning of my treatment.
You don't get to see an orthodontist every time you come in for Invisalign.in my opinion this has led to mistakes (See 2nd to last bullet). - There have been numerous billing mistakes that I have experienced. I paid for the entire treatment up front and they are supposed to reimburse me as my insurance reimburses them.this is like pulling teeth (no pun intended) and they have made several mistakes with this. - They have mis-scheduled my appointments (I showed up once and they "lost" my appointment) - Most recently they made a mistake in not putting on an attachment that was required and I didn't find out until ~1 week after my visit, requiring me to to in again. - Overall, front desk is unorganized.

I have been going to this office for 2 years. My husband lost his job and i had 6 months left on my braces with a balance. I put braces on my son also and i put $1000 down and paid 2 months when my husband lost his job. I called them to work something out. I explain that i could not afford to do my son braces at this time. The only thing they could offer me was to remove his braces and i lose the money i put down! Really! So, i decided to keep them.
Well i got behind 2 months on the braces they would not even make an appointment until it was paid up. The same day i talked to the lady at 8:30am she told me they had an appointment for the next day at 8:40am GOOD, i told her i was coming in to make the payment in full with cash. When i got to the office at 10:30am paid the office the time she quoted me was gone and the next appointment was for next week some time.
I said all that to say: This company dont care about the people. If they did they would have held that appointment and say if you dont pay the day you come in we cant see you vs they COULD NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL PAYMENT. So they did not want to work with me on anything until they saw the money! After being with them for 2 years i felt robbed!
They are all nice and we are here to help until you fall on a rough time! I am so pissed with them i wish i could just leave but i cant afford it! I will NEVER send anyone to them again!

Excellent Staff, and Great Doctors. Best place for Orthodontics in Houston. He has five locations. Dr Ray McLandon was the VP for Invisalign for training Dentists and Orthodontists on how to use Invisalign product. He is very knowledgeable with Invisalign. My first treatment was with a Dentist who told me my end result was "as good as it can get".
When I met Dr McLandon I told him my concern with not being satisfied with my end result. He informed me he could help me. I made an appointment for a consultation, and I am currently working on a correction (within the 12 month window of my treatment being completed the first time) so it cost me nothing. I cannot wait to see the end result. His offices also offer a great teeth whitening program to support charity.
If you donate $50 or more, they will provide custom made trays for bleaching and two tubes of professional strength whitening gel. This is a $350 value and 100% of the money goes to a well known charity of your choice. I intend on getting this done once my Invisalign treatment is complete and designating the money to MD Anderson.
