Teeth whitening done in a professional dental setting is a safe, effective way to brighten your smile. It's also perhaps the most economical cosmetic dental procedure. Depending on the whitening method you choose, results can be dramatic: in-office whitening, for example, can lighten teeth three to eight shades in a single hour.

I loved Floss & Smile. It was my first time visiting, and the experience was great. The young man at the front desk is amazing. He's the exact type of person you want in that role. My dental hygienist, and X-ray technician were very professional and pleasant. Dr. Townes is truly a doctor of integrity, and super knowledgeable! I'm happy to have finally found my dental office in the DC area!

My first time going to Floss and Smile was my last. The dentist put on gloves to prepare to do an exam but needed an item, so walked around the office to find it, came back over to me touched the mouse and keyboard and proceeded to open my mouth with the same gloves on.in the middle of a pandemic! I stopped her before she touched me and asked her to change her gloves, she seemed bothered by me asking. I will not go back to that office.

I am very pleased with the service I receive every time I go to Floss and Smile. Dr, Townes makes all her patients feel valued and give each patient first class service. Chris the receptionist greets every patient with a warm smile and greets each patient by his/her name. Also, Richyl the hygienist gave me professional service. During my cleaning she constantly checked with me to make sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend Floss and Smile to everyone in the DMV area. You will be happy with the service you receive from the staff. I am definitely a satisfied patient.

Dr. Kimberly Townes and her staff are wonderful. They make you feel comfortable, and work is done very efficiently. Dr. Townes will give multiple options of treatment, and I love that. You can choose a more conservative form of treatment, if you want to save some money. I've been very satisfied with the treatments I have received here, as well as the level of knowledge, expertise, and caring in all the staff that work at Floss and Smile.

First visit - everyone was super nice and came out without any additional questions as everything was explained or answered! Office is easy to get to. I live close enough to walk but it appears that there are plenty of parking paces allotted to the office. Second visit - still more than happy with Floss and Smile! Reception staff were super friendly and made my day with how sweet they treated me. Both the hygienist (forgot his name ) and Dr Sample were wonderful. I highly recommend this practice!

Please do not risk going to this place! This dentist should not be practicing! My very first appointment seemed fine, she set up a plan with me to get some dental work done. When I returned to do it, she was like a whole different person. Not only was she late to take me back to my appointment, she also left before we began working on my crowns to tend to another patient.
She was gone for a little more than 30 minutes! As a working mom, it is very frustrating to schedule an appointment, have my husband take off work to watch our kids, only so she can misuse my valuable time. When she finally came back, she was so rough. She was drilling so vigorously, and didn't even try to numb me good. I was in so much pain! When I said something about it hurting, she reached in with a huge needle and began numbing me all over.
It was almost in a manner as if she was upset I was in pain! I have had plenty of dental work done, and I can tolerate a decent amount of pain, but this woman did not care or even check on me being okay. I paid over $500 at the end of that visit, and I cried when I left due to the way this woman treated me! I went back to my appointment today to have my permanent crown placed.
The only reason I went back was because I thought MAYBE she was having a bad day. Truthfully, I didn't want to go through this whole process again either. Today, they were 35 minutes late calling me back to my appointment. I asked her to spend sometime at the end of my appointment so we could go over my plan, and she completely dismissed what I said.
She never took the time to hear me out. She is very rough when doing dental work, and uses the needles as if they are weapons. Her bedside manner is THE WORST I have ever experienced. This is extremely disappointing. I will NOT go back. It wasn't just a bad day. This woman should NOT be practicing. She seems hurried and distracted and does NOT care if she is hurting you in the process. Do NOT trust this woman with your dental care!
