I was so scared at what would transpire but everyone made me feel comfortable and cared for. Dr Kirkland and her staff are amazing. I highly recommend this practice.

This review is only based on scheduling. After scheduled, I got a call one day before my appointment telling me they have to push me to next week. When next week comes, they called me one day before this week appointment and pushed me another week. They pushed my appointment twice within 24hr of the appointment time, yet they require a fee from you if you cancel within 48hrs.

A pleasant experience until the estimate for services arrived. I blame myself for being ignorant of semantics. Prior to booking an estimate for work, I asked if they take my insurance (Anthem), they said YES. I proceeded to take time out of my day and get the facts and numbers. In the end I was given a treatment plan over $14,500+. This gross price was to be expected, but because I did not ask are they "in-network" the cost is as-is (net) with no insurance contribution.

For inconveniencing their staff, I paid them $250. I apologize tremendously for the miscommunication. There seems to be a pattern of deceptive practices. And it seems most of your positive reviews are from people with limited postings. Did you ask them to post? Or are those fake/coerced to attract more clients? Honesty is the best policy, Doc. Call it what it is. You don't have to wish luck to disgruntled patients finding another Perio; fortunately there are several in ATL metro. Care before greed or do you NOT promote the Hippocratic Oath in your classes to young dental professionals? PS - Get well soon.

Dr. Kirkland spent a fair amount of time with me to introduce herself and review my health history. She answered all of my questions, asked a lot of questions, and pointed out the areas of concern to her and how she will handle my care going forward. Her team is very professional, from being greeted at the front desk, to taking a tour of the facility, to the pre-hygienist work, to the actual cleaning. The only negative would be that they require payment in full up front, then bill your insurance, so you have to wait for a reimbursement check from your insurance carrier.

Very impressive and welcoming office. A very friendly and informative staff and doctor who take the time to explain every aspect and detail of your issue and treatment. Everything about this office is exceptional including a very thoughtful giftbag handed to you when you get a tour of the whole office. Who does that? I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!

DO NOT go here. The staff is very manipulative, and they will try to commit you to a full procedure within minutes. You will be forced to pay the FULL PRICE up front, which was never communicated when making an appointment. Regardless if your insurance will fully cover your visit, they will force you to pay the total cost up front, which is well above the reasonable and customary price, and then submit a claim for you, leaving you to try and recoup any money back from them if necessary. This includes your first consultation, which is over $200.

I thank my lucky stars that Dr. Kirkland was referred to me by another dentist. I have no anxiety whatsoever when I have an appointment. I now have and have maintained a healthy mouth since I have been under her care. Also a great staff.

I've been under North Point Periodontics care for nearly 25 years. Most of my visits are preventative care with the hygienist. I have only had two hygienist that have worked on me, which speaks to their stability. While I haven't always liked what Dr. French and now Dr. Kirkland advise, they advise what I need. This is an office that continuously stays ahead of the latest care curve. RF

Dr. Kirkland and her staff were so welcoming. The office is beautiful, and the entire staff was so friendly. Dr. Kirkland took the time to walk me through what needed to be done and the procedure. I left there feeling confident that she would be able to address my issue. I highly recommend this office. They create an excellent patient experience.

This was our first time at this office, Northpoint Periodontists & it was by far A+ rating hands down, Dr. Li & staff specifically! I can not say enough about our wonderful experience we had. From the moment I walked in to the office with our teenage daughter, who was the scheduled patient, it was first class! We were recommended to them after orthodontists, Dr. Jacqueline Malone & Dr. Jordan consulted to remove her braces after several years.

She required a gum evaluation & possible correction procedure due to genetics, etc. Not only did Dr. Li do the evaluation @ 5:30 pm, he went ahead & performed the procedure which lasted after hours until almost 8 pm. I actually cried when I saw our daughter afterwards & noticed an improvement almost immediately after 10 looooong years in various braces' stages. As our daughter is in the recovery period, I had to post this. I'm at a loss for words, but grateful & thankful beyond belief to this wonderful doctor & office staff!

Dr Li performed laser surgery for my gums. I have had gum surgery before so I was extremely nervous. Every one was so nice and took care of me. They made sure I was comfortable. Dr Li made sure I was not in pain So glad I found this office.

I had gum grafting surgery with Dr. Kirkland about 3 years ago. It was the worst medical/dental experience of my life. There were no pre-op antibiotics, so it got infected. When I called the office to report symptoms, office staff dismissed me. I insisted on being seen & then was prescribed antibiotics & steroids due to the terrible infection. (I am a nurse & followed post op instructions to the letter.) The cost was over $5,000 & it was so poorly done that I now must have the surgery redone for ~$7,000 by a reputable periodontist.

This surgery should only have to be performed once. I rarely post a negative review, I just don't go back. However, this was so physically painful & expensive, I think it's important to let other people know.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kirkland and Dr. Li. You know you're in good hands the moment you walk through the door. No one likes to have to go to the Periodontist and have these types of procedures done but I have to say that they make the entire experience as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Everyone on her team is knowledgeable, thorough and kind. If I could give 10 stars I would. :

My first experience here was very pleasant. I came in with many concerns, and Dr. Kirkland listened patiently. I felt both "heard" and cared for by everyone in the office and, by the time I left, I was confident that we had a workable plan to start with. I am grateful for professionalism with heart!

Dr Kirkland has been my gum Dr since 2001. She is kind, professional and very knowledgeable. Her staff is top notch as well. Her offices and examination rooms are impeccable. I can not say enough about how great this place is. I recommend Dr. Kirkland and her staff highly!

I've been going to them for several years (for perio maintenance/cleaning) and have been very happy with the hygienists I've had. I've gone to both Linda & Jody for my cleanings. Both Linda & Jody have been very gentle, patient, compassionate, and accommodating with me. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental visits, and both of them have been willing to work with me with this. I'm probably a horrible dental patient, but both these women have been wonderful to me. I highly recommend Linda or Jody to anyone who has any dental anxiety. (I'd imagine everyone there is great, but I've only worked with those 2 ladies.)

I visited Dr. Kirkland to see if I should get a crown extension or an implant. She recommended the extension for a variety of reasons which was a huge relief- it was less expensive and invasive. This was also after my dentist had recommended an implant and she overruled him. During the procedure, she told me it would take 40-45 minutes, and after 30, she said "all done!" The procedure exceeded my expectations to say the least and has healed perfectly. She is professional, trustworthy, and runs a great practice with top notch staff. I would recommend her to everyone.

For a dental chair experience it simply does not get any better. Dr. Kirkland and her team were beyond pleasant and made my procedures painless as possible. Highly recommend!

They were awesome! I had a gum graph done the beginning of April and instead of taking tissue from the top of my mouth I was able to use donor tissue! The girl I nanny 16 years old went to dr Edelstein (another office) didn't get the option like I did and her surgery was more painful and her mouth took longer to heal. Very pleased with my visit and would recommend anyone getting gum surgery to go here! The staff was amazing and so nice. I would also recommend wearing headphones and turn on some music helped me relax.

Dr. Kirkland is very professional, knowledgeable and does amazing work. I wouldn't recommend anyone else for implants.

I've had such a great experience with Dr. Kirkland and her team. I have a reoccurring gum issue associated with my pregnancy, and month after month, they take really take care of me. They truly make going to the dentist on a monthly basis enjoyable and comfortable. I would highly recommend North Point Periodontics to anyone who needs to see a specialist.

It's been almost a year since my experience with North Point Periodontics started. My dentist, whose practice is in the same set of buildings, recommended I get my receding gum line checked out. I hemmed and hawed and just didn't get it done. So when he next recommended it 6 months later, I decided that I'd put it off long enough. On my first visit, everyone was friendly, but I did spend a lot of time waiting since the visit was a multistep process of paperwork, examination, assessment, and explanation, with a few papers to sign (though thankfully electronically) at each step.

While I could have scheduled my procedure right away, I needed to wait a few months for personal reasons. They understood, explained the risks in waiting, but in no way pressured me to schedule it sooner. I made the appointment and was given an estimate of charges as well as payment options. They took the time to thoroughly explain the payment options, as payment is due at the time of service, though they do file with your insurance so that you'll be (partially) reimbursed.

As the date of the surgery approached, I was contacted at least twice to confirm my appointment, and was even able to move it earlier. I was quite pleased at how flexible the scheduling has been. The day of the procedure, I was signed in quickly brought back to the chair quickly. The nurse and the doctor were both very friendly and reassuring. After the short procedure, the nurse explained all my prescriptions (which they'd already called in to my pharmacy of choice the night before), and then shown to the front to schedule my follow up visit and pay. North Point Periodontics made the whole process as painless as serious dental work can be.
