Endodontic treatment is a process that treats the inside of the tooth by cleaning, shaping and filling of the canal space. If your tooth has failed to heal or has developed new problems, another endodontic procedure may be necessary to save your tooth. When nonsurgical endodontic treatment alone cannot save your tooth, your dentist or endodontist may recommend surgery.
Endodontic treatment, also known as root canal therapy, is a procedure that is intended to save a tooth that has become abscessed (non-vital), hyper-sensitive due to certain conditions of the tooth or as a result of trauma. Root canal therapy has changed dramatically in recent years as new technology and procedures have become available.
Endodontic Retreament is a procedure that may be necessary when the tooth has previous root canal therapy and has become reinfected. This may be the result of decay, untreated canals, or under treated canals. The patient may experience swelling or discomfort with biting or chewing on or around the area of the original root canal treatment.

I am thoroughly impressed with this office and can't say enough nice things! I am pregnant and had a root canal appt. they numbed me and I instantly felt nauseous and dizzy. I through up there for 3 hours, never got my procedure done and the dentist and the assistant never left my side even when I was probably a little hard to handle. I'll be back to get my procedure done with full confidence that they will take care of me.

So pleased with this team& their services. I have severe dental anxiety and found out the nerve in my front tooth was dead and I was referred to west mi endodontics for the root canal. I was extremely nervous and the assistant was very informative, answered every question I had, explained what was going to go on very throughly, gave me a tissue for my tears, and was so very comforting, even after the procedure she showed me the materials that they used to do the filling.
The Dr performing the root canal (Dr Thomas I believe) was also amazing, he was calm, gentle and very quick. He also answered every question I had and made sure I was alright and comfortable throughout the entire process. I'm two days out from the root canal and I have had no pain residual pain whatsoever. I give them a 10/10, 5 stars absolutely you are in amazing caring hands here. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like getting their teeth cleaned! .

I was referred to Dr. Thomas by Dr. Michael Leonard, who is also fantastic. I needed an evaluation for a root canal. When I called to schedule an appointment and they learned I was in a lot of pain, I was offered the opportunity to come to the office and be worked in. Within 15 min of my arrival, I was seen and a treatment plan established. Dr. Thomas numbed me up right away so I would not be uncomfortable any longer. I really appreciate the great service and being seen so quickly!

I've been going here since Dr. McLaughlin practiced here, now retired. Dr. Thomas is just as awesome as Dr. McLaughlin. The office is top notch and professional since day one. I love this Dr and his office staff. They've ALWAYS treated me with compassion and respect. I recommend them to anyone who wants a painless procedure.

Dr. Thomas and his staff are always first class. I was worried the first time I went in with hearing the rumors that root canals hurt. I am here to tell you I had no discomfort and no pain through the entire procedure. They are amazing at what they do! I would highly recommand and do to my patients as well.

I had never had a root canal done before and after my experience with Dr. Thomas I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Thomas was kind and compassionate and was very conscious of my comfort. His medical assistant was also very caring. If it were possible to give more than five stars, I would give them as many as possible. Wait time was very short and the care was over and above excellent.

I have had many root canals and by far this one was the easiest. The staff is very caring and let you know exactly what will happen. Dr. Thomas is gentle and fast which makes the experience much more pleasant. The office offers nice cushiony headphones and you can choose any kind music. The music really made me relax and let them get the job done.
