Children's Dental Care - Michael A. Staveris, D.D.S. is devoted entirely to the unique dental needs of children and teenagers, ages 1-19 years old. Spend a moment in our Shrek-inspired office, and you will quickly learn that a visit to the dentist can be a fun and rewarding experience for children of all ages.
Pediatric dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health of young people. Good oral health is an important part of total health. Establishing us as your child's Dental Home provides us the opportunity to implement preventive dental health habits that keep a child free from dental/oral disease.
All 3 of our boys have been patients since they were very young. Our oldest first started here when he was 3 years old in 2004 with Dr. Staveris; and over the years the boys have also seen Dr. Tran and Dr. Bandala. Everyone on the staff is fantastic; the boys actually look forward to going for their check ups and cleanings!

I highly recommend this place. The Doctor and staff are all extremely professional and are spectacular at making kids comfortable. It is so important to teach children that going to the dentist is not something to be afraid of. You won't want any other dentist office for your children once they experience the high level of care received at this office. In fact it'll have you wishing they worked on adults.

Called to get pricing for my son who needs cavities filled and needs to be put under general anesthesia for them: the lady who answered (she wouldn't tell me her name) called me a bad parent because I told her my son does NOT need crowns on his BABY teeth! Do not go to this place! Horrible customer service!

Dr Starvis and his staff are absolutely amazing! My daughter had a terrible experience at one dentist and was so scared to even step inside his office and Rachel was so patient, friendly and helped put my daughter at ease. My daughter went in super scared (due to experience with her other dentist) and walked out smiling!

My gf and I took my son here a couple years ago. We explained that we were on MediCal and the appointment was at no cost to us. Someone from there office called to make an appointment for my son. My gf took him to the appointment and was asked if our situation had changed. She said it remained the same, and completed the appointment. I received a bill for $139 today.
I called and asked why I was being billed. The person on the phone said that the first appointment was free because my son was under 3 years old. Now that he's 4, I have to pay full price. I explained the situation, and was told that there was nothing I could do but pay the bill. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The best children's dentist office in my opinion. I just transferred both of my boys here since we loved everything about this office from the first visit. All the staff is very professional and super sweet, kind and respectful with kids. My boys are super excited for their dental check ups. Love that doctor is very honest about what really needs to be done and what not.

We recently moved to Roseville and I cannot be happier I chose Dr. Staveris to be my daughter's dentist. During her first visit the staff made sure she was not scared and didn't use any tools she was not comfortable with. She really loved the gifts she received at the end. A few days ago, she got her first loose tooth at 4y 9mo. She was seen immediately and after a quick xray I was assured her new teeth are on their way. Again, they made sure she was not afraid of the xray machine and made the visit a pleasant experience. Wonderful treatment. I highly recommend this office.

I think it's time for Doctor to retire. He isn't ordering supplies needed to X-ray little ones (my daughter is 6) anymore, I was told on our visit yesterday. My daughter got a cleaning, a top X-ray and bottom but no sides, which is why we were in there in the first place she's been complaining about her molars. It was disappointing that the back room where you used to be able to play with video games and toys is blocked off for employees kids and has turned into a daycare center.
Very unprofessional in my opinion. The doctor was running so behind that we had to leave without an examine from him, so we have no idea without X-rays or a doctor examine if my daughter has cavities. I did not book another appointment and will be looking for a new children's dentist practice that actually wants to service children.

My daughters have been going to Children's Dental Care for approximately 6 years. Dr. Staveris and his staff are absolutely the best. I can say my girls actually enjoy going to the dentist! I don't think you can say that about any other dentist office. From the atmosphere to the care they are top notch. You always know what your service is going to cost you going in, no surprises in the end.
