Periodontics involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss. At our dental office, we will gently evaluate your child's gums and overall oral health, and if necessary, will make recommendations for treatment. Restorative dentistry is used to restore the strength and beauty of your smile.
When your child is preparing for sports practice or a game, they wouldn't dream of going without their uniform. If they are playing a contact sport like football or hockey, they always have a helmet and pads on before going near the field or rink. However, if they aren't using a sports mouth guard for your practice and matches, they are missing a vital piece of protective gear.
A lifetime of healthy teeth begins with good dental habits. Give your child a solid foundation by bringing them for an exam and cleaning twice each year. Encourage your child to listen to the dental team during their visit. Work with your child at home to improve their dental hygiene routine. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has found that your child should visit the dentist within six months after the presence of the first tooth or by his or her first birthday.Early oral examination aids in the detection of the initial stages of tooth decay.

Mr. & Mrs. DR's Mulvey are amazing! They're kind and informative. They have a fantastic team that is always courteous. My son whose 8 loves coming to the dentist. We've been coming here since he was born and now my daughter goes as well. I can't tell you how comfortable dr mulvey made her. She's 2 and he showed her and let her feel all instruments he used so she wouldn't be frightened.
This amount of care and compassion is so reassuring. I will continue to come here with my kiddos and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fantastic dentist for kids.

Dr. Mulvey and his team are the best around. My son honestly looks forward to his dentist appointments. They are always on time. The office is bright, clean, and welcoming - even in a pandemic. There is plenty of free parking too, which is a plus. And, they are right off of Rte. 95 so they are accessible from all points in RI.

Best pediatric dentist I have ever brought my kids to! My children have been patients for years, Dr. Mulvey and his wife are excellent with the kids. The staff are very awesome also. If you are looking to bring your children to a nice, clean pediatric dentist then this is the place to bring them to!

Dr. Farisa Mulvey was wonderful! It was my 2 year old's first dentist visit and while she was hesitant, Dr. Mulvey was friendly, encouraging, gentle, and confident. My daughter loved it so much that later she was crying that she wanted to go back to the dentist. She'll be looking forward to her next appointment. I was also impressed by all of their COVID protocols in place that helped everything feel very safe.

My daughter has been a patient of both Doctors since she was 1 (she's now 4). They have treated my daughter with such patience and their professionalism is amazing. Although my daughter has always been petrified of going to any Doctor office, her most recent experience went surprisingly well. Again, Dr. Mulvey showed such patience and professionalism toward my daughter.
She answered any and all questions and concerns, and made my daughter feel very comfortable by explaining each step, to help the process go seamless. On top of that, the staff was friendly, the facility was exceptionally clean, and their COVID procedure was excellent. Thank you.

We love the environment, it is calm and extremely clean. The staff are friendly which makes you feel comfortable, Dr. Mulvey and his wife are excellent with kids. I always had problems with other dentists but finally my daughter enjoys going. A plus is that you are in and out don't have to wait hours.

My 3 sons have been patients for years - and they all have their teeth still, which is terrific! The dentist, staff and hygienists have always treated them kindly, gently and professionally - setting them up for lifetimes of solid dental hygiene and fruitful relationships with their adult dental professionals.
