My responsibilities include treatment planning, insurance claims, scheduling patients, credentialing, payroll and many other front office duties. I have been working in dentistry since 1983 and began working at Kirkland Dental in 2014. I majored in speech communications from Oregon State University in 1991.
Becoming a dentist has been a childhood dream come true. I love my profession! As an 11 year-old who liked science, I received a Dr. At age 15, I got a job working in a dental office and loved it. By 16, I was a fully trained dental assistant and continued working as an assistant until I graduated from dental school!
It is a pleasure and a privilege to be entrusted with my patients' oral health and their smiles. I am humbled by this trust and committed to ensuring every visit is comfortable, productive, and finishes with the patient healthier and feeling better. From a young age, I was drawn to science, medicine, and art.
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

After a bad experience with a previous dentist, my husband recommended me to Kirkland Dental. Dr. Ma did an excellent job with the work I needed done! She takes meticulous care and is very knowledgeable. I am pretty particular with any work I get done but I had no complaints and everything came out beautifully. Every staff member in the office is very friendly and genuinely happy to be there. I am so happy I found this office!

The facility was very clean and every staff member was friendly! Jen my hygienist sticks out to me specifically though. She was excellent and so knowledgeable! I have never learned that much at a dental appointment before, it was very clear that she sincerely cares about all of her patients. Very impressed with my first visit and will definitely be a long timer!

I've been going to Kirkland Dental for three years now, and am very satisfied. This place features knowledgeable, considerate staff who put significant effort into understanding all aspects of their patients' dental health and hygiene. Needless to say, I highly recommend Kirkland Dental to anyone in need of dental care.

I have had bad experiences with dentists also had high anxiety in visiting dentists. Not so with Kirkland Dental I have never had a better experience at a dentist's office. The staff is caring and friendly and genuine. Dr. Ma takes her time with patience, explains what she is doing, what future treatment may and she listens. I still have anxiety but Kirkland Dental has made a big difference in helping to alleviate that. Highly recommend them.

I have been a patient at Kirkland Dental for many years now and they have been professional, caring, and friendly and warm when you walk in the door.whoever works on me has been great. Dr. Ma and Dr. Yagi both explain what's going on and what the options are so I can make decisions. I actually like going to the dentist there. :-

I have been a patient of Dr. Yagi's since I was 9 or 10 years old! I'm 35 now so that's roughly 25 years. Lisa and Tina were/are so kind (Lisa retired). The front office staff have always been helpful. Dr. Yagi went out of her way to help me when I was looking for a job years ago (she had a connection), and her office helped me figure out how to pay for a root canal I needed when I was pretty broke and my tooth was very painful.
The ladies who work for Dr. Yagi are always kind and professional. I'm forgetting her name, but one of the dental assistants was amazing with my 2 year old when she was nervous about seeing the dentist. Dr. Yagi herself is a wonderful dentist and genuinely kind person. 3 generations of my family go to Kirkland Dental!

Just recently had a "annual dental exam". When I was all finished, knowing that i had treatments but i didnt schedule them to be done, they wanted me to move to another stall and they started doing my treatments! I was a bit confused because i didnt get that scheduled to be done because i had another appointment coming up after that. So i thought well i will just get it billed and do monthly payments.
So i come to the front desk and told the receptionist i would like my bill to be schedule every month and she said we couldnt because i had to pay the $120 "co-pay" which the $120 was for my fillings and i was shocked! And said your next appt for your treatments will be next week which i havent schedule ANYTHING yet with them. So back to the payments, she said she can bill my future treatments, and i was like why should i start paying for things that hasnt been done yet or havent even started? So i just cancel that appointment with them and i dont know if im even going back to them, i mean i was tramazied with that experience.

GREAT Dentist Office, everyone is very nice, even the front desk/receptionist are super friendly, informative, and caring. So far I have had an exam, cleaning, and tooth extraction and it was the most pleasant Dentist experience I have ever had. They are very accommodating and understanding of all kinds of anxiety and dental fear, thy don't hit you with the annoying "What you should have done" kind of talk, they analyze the issue, lay out all your options and are very detailed as to what is included, how it works, what your insurance will cover, and even how to plan procedures in effort to save you the most money. This is now my #1 Dental choice and will be bringing my whole family in next! Thank you Kirkland Dental!

Dr. Ma has been amazing at taking care of my teeth and I would give her and the hygienists 5 stars. However, the front desk staff deserves 2, at best. They have messed up some of our payments and later made us feel like it was our fault for late payment. Braunda is really nice and helpful. Bobby is not. She is all business and is not very understanding at all. Not sure if I would recommend them.

Do your teeth a favor and do not choose this place. My mom and I both went here for a number of years and we left this place two years ago for one that my dad has been seeing for 10 years. I'll tell you right off the bat that I immediately noticed the difference. Kirkland Dental will try and make the most money from your insurance company; my new dentist genuinely cares about the wellbeing of my teeth.
When I went to Kirkland Dental, every visit Dr. Yagi had a reason for me to come back, either it was for 3 sealants or cavity fillings, I was so confused why I always had "problems" with my teeth. Same thing for my mom. They told her she needed a crown on her tooth when she clearly didn't need one (after consulting our current dentist). Now at my new dentist, I haven't needed to do anything with my teeth for the past two years.
I have healthy teeth and I knew I always have. Pick a dentist that cares about your teeth, not your money! On a side note, the dental hygienists were nice and great. They did a good job cleaning my teeth.

The staff here are lovely. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. My hygienist, Lisa, was superb and did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth as well as explaining everything very clearly. Lisa gets a 6/5. :) The office is beautiful and in a great location off 405. I gave Kirkland Dental 3/5 rather than 5/5, because I firmly believe that restorations should be a last resort, and that my diagnosis was excessive. Enamel can grow back from decay that hasn't hit dentin.
I'd rather try letting my tooth heal than drilling a hole into the side to place a filling. Two days after my appointment at Kirkland Dental, I got a second opinion elsewhere. They explained their diagnosis before looking at the previous one. Although my new office won't make nearly as much money from me initially (due to their conservative diagnosis, ) they have earned a patient for life.
