I had a very bad past experience with a different dentist at a different office so I was quite nervous about going to see any dentist but at Alpine Dental they really took the time to make sure I was comfortable. They explained everything thoroughly and checked on my regularly. I will definitely be continuing my dental care for me and my whole family at Alpine Dental.

I don't know how ANYONE can rate them less than 5 stars. It boggles my mind. Prior to me coming here, I wouldn't be caught dead in a dentist. My anxiety was through the roof. Laughing gas and a sedative and I'd still need to sit upright in the chair (hyperventilation and lack of control scared the bejeesus out of me). Fast forward, I'm coming every 4 months for cleanings with ZERO sedative or nitrous and I ENJOY my visits! Dr. Nolten is INCREDIBLE, Tammy is beyond amazing.

And I just love the whole staff. Lucky for them (haha) I passed down my anxious genes to my kids. Add in a little sensory with both of them and they, too, were hard to calm. Tammy has worked miracles with them both and they love Dr. Nolten too! Helga is such a warm person to talk to, I just love chatting with her at the front. I truly cannot thank them enough. You are all amazing and have been so patient with us. THANK YOU.

Dr Klein does a wonderful job and have been seeing her quite a few years. They are very professional and very friendly too.

This is the best caring dental office! Every staff member is kind and courteous. I would not trust my dental with anyone else. I have sent numerous people there for second opinions and they have never steered them wrong and saved unnecessary work and costs. They have some awesome products to purchase if you want to and are looking for healthy alternatives to unhealthy products with ingredients that are proven harmful such as fluoride.

All of my children have gone there since they were small and I have gone there for over 30 years except for times I was living out of state. And I regretted not flying back for my dental work. Trust that you are in good hands and I would recommend Alpine Dental to all. NGW

I called for an emergency dental visit for my 81 year old father! They were very helpful and fast to want to help him with his pain! Called me back within minutes and made 1st appt! My Dad said everyone was very nice helpful and knowledgeable! He will be going back for 2nd and 3rd appts:

My first appointment with Alpine Dental today was excellent and all of my questions were answered with ease. Dr. Nolten was kind and compassionate as he thoroughly examined my mouth and reviewed my medical history. Any concerns were explained and addressed. He discussed several options for next steps moving forward, regarding amalgam filling removal, teeth crowding due to structural abnormalities, TMJD, and future dental excisions/implants. Genuine friendliness was shown by all of the staff and they made me feel welcome and valued.

I'm looking forward to my second visit, with Dr. Klein, for an in-depth assessment, sleep study review, additional imaging, and the determination of a treatment plan. So grateful to have found their clinic!

I hadn't been to the dentist since March of 2014. I became ill and house bound and couldn't get to my dentist. When I finally recovered enough to get myself to a dentist, I decided not to go to my previous dentist because he was rather far. Instead I looked nearby and found Alpine Dental. One of the things that are important to me is a holistic approach, meaning no fluoride (it is highly toxic) and no mercury, amalgam fillings.

And silver amalgam removal must be safe. At Alpine Dental they do exactly that. I had a root which was dying and causing a lot of pain. A great endodontist in Glenview was recommended for the root canal, while Dr. Andronova did the filling. At a later date, two other fillings were replaced. One was my last mercury silver amalgam. The removals were done safely and painlessly.

I also needed a night guard because I clamp my teeth down at night. This causes wear and can fracture a tooth. So last the impression was taken and the night guard was ordered. When it came it was fitted, with a few adjustments, and has been easy yo wear at night. Lastly, I had a cleaning, which went very well. It has been a great experience, all in all. Going to the dentist can be very stressful. The friendly staff help you feel at ease. I highly recommend Apline Dental.

Practice focused on upselling accessory goods and services. They sold me a toothpaste for $20. My sister-in law is a dentist and during a visit, she noticed that this toothpaste has no fluoride. It's useless. They also tried aggressively to rent me a machine to screen for sleep apnea. I never gave them any information to suggest that there may be a valid indication that I was at risk, and they never conducted a STOP-BANG pre-screening to risk stratify me.

When they tried to push the machine, I was shocked to see they charged around $250 to rent the machine for one night. Here's the real kicker: the gold standard for diagnosing sleep apnea is not a home testing kit--these kits are not properly validated. Rather, the gold standard is an overnight sleep study with a sleep medicine physician. So a simple STOP-BANG questionnaire (which costs nothing but 3 minutes) would have been sufficient to refer me to a sleep medicine specialist if it were warranted. Finally, I was told I needed to return for dental work in the left and right quadrants of me mouth.

The dentist stated one half of the work to be done by her during one visit, and the other half of the work to be done by her partner in a second visit. I got the impression that in addition to this costing me more time, it could potentially cost me and/or the insurer more out of pocket from fixed fees from a new encounter. Buyer beware.

Not a good experience! I don't like giving names of Dr.'s who did prior work and I don't think it's professional to ask a patient that when we're trying to get help for an issue. On my referral it was misinterpreted what I said. I should have just got up and walked out.

A neighbor suggested I try Dr. Klein and her dental services when I moved to Barrington; that suggestion was my good fortune! Every person there is on the same team, puts the patient first, and knows their stuff. They have provided me with the best cleanings and the best denistry I've had in my 70 years. Recently, they saw to my dental work during my cancer treatments. Their state-of-the-art technology, continuing education, and preventive care have made all the difference to my dental well-being. I am lucky to have found them.

I am so happy with the results of my treatment plan. I came in with a dislocated jaw and very crooked teeth. With the help of Dr. Klein and team, I no longer have any pain and can smile again with confidence. The staff did not just treat the symptoms but got to the root cause of the issue. I could not be more greatful!

I have been seeing Dr. Klein since the mid 1990s. After I got married, she readily agreed to see my husband as well. She and Dr. Nova are brilliant, extremely competent, gentle, and compassionate with knowledge that is ever growing and up-to-date with technology. Dr. Klein has gathered a staff of equal compassion and competence. They all take the time to know us, to listen well, and to treat and care for us as entire, complete humans and not just isolated groups of teeth.

The sense of humor among them is infectious and their kindness puts everyone at ease. They try very hard to accommodate our schedules. Having had a horrendous experience with dentists in childhood, I could not have found a more understanding dentist who cares about the health of my teeth and my overall health and well-being. I would recommend her and Alpine Dental to all my family and friends without hesitation.

I am very disappointed with this practice! I took my young son there and was told he has multiple cavities and needs an arch expansion. I took my son right away for another opinion to a different dentist (not mentioning the previous findings). The other dentist found no cavities and stated that my son has a "textbook perfect bite". Six months later took my son to another dentist for a check up.

Also no cavities or issues with his bite. Therefore I would never return to Alpine Dental or recommend it to anyone (unless you like to have your teeth drilled for no reason).

Not good. The dentist removed the wire from my sons braces for a hygiene appointment and then put back on wrong causing a sore on his cheek and a tooth that turned. Orthodontist not happy and s/t wires should never be removed by the dentist. Then she orders a $300 X-ray of his jaw that he did not need. Told me his jaw was " dislocated " it was not and I had to pay out of pocket for it. And finally if that's not enough she told me my other son had 2 cavities when he didn't. I am reporting this practice.highly advise not to go here.

I have been going to see Dr. Klein for my TMJD for a few years now and she has been a lifesaver. My jaw was locked and I was in pain when I first came to see her and with some expertly created appliances that herself and her team came up with, they have given me my life back and continue to help me heal on the road to recovery from years of wrong orthodontic treatments I endured as a teen.

She is a downright genius when it comes to the jaw as well as countless other areas of the head, neck, and body. I highly recommend to anyone for any dental or head issue. As the writer stated below, the cost might be on the high end, but to be out of pain and be able to avoid any sort of invasive surgery is extremely worth it to me, and Dr. Klein really works with you to help be as cost affective as she can be while delivery top of the line treatment. She is truly a blessing and I am thankful for her and her team's hard work and dedication to their patients.

I went in initially for a cleaning and an eval to have my amalgams removed. My gums were tender, and I knew I had some other work I needed. The hygienist, Tammy, and Dr. Nova explained to me in detail what I needed. What I appreciated so much, too, is that Tammy took extra care and time explaining everything she was doing during the visit. Dr. Nova spent quite a bit of time as well explaining what steps she would do this all in.

Fast forward to today, the first part of my deep cleaning, Tammy again was right there with me (I have diagnosed panic disorder and anxiety) and Dr. Nova was so good with the novacaine. Once that kicked in, Tammy did my root planing and scaling. That went PERFECTLY. Once I began to perhaps feel a little something, Dr. Nova was there to give me a little more novacaine. I could have fallen asleep with how gentle it went. I am DEFINITELY a fan of THIS dental practice! Tammy and Dr. Nova are my favorite team! Thank you!

I have been going to Dr Klein for over 20 years and I am absolutely DELIGHTED with her skill, knowledge, expertise and kindness. She also has a terrific office staff. Who really WANTS to go to the dentist, right? Well, Dr Klein makes going to the dentist a good experience! She thoroughlly explains what is needed. She has a vast knowledge of both allopathic and so called 'alternative' methodologies. I HIGHLY recommend this dental practice! If Dr Klein is booked ask for Dr Nova - they are both wonderful!

My family has been seeing Dr. Klein for ten years. We each have brought different dental issues and the quality care we have received has brought us relief and confidence. I resisted seeing Dr. Klein for seven years because I had to travel an hour and a half to her office. Instead I went to a dentist closer to me and had jaw surgery. Instead of relief, I experienced a dramatic increase in pain.

My treatment with Dr. Klein has resolved much of that pain and her ongoing support and treatment is outstanding. Dr. Klein treats the whole patient and uses practises that I can SEE work -right when I am standing there. Her entire staff is positive and skilled. I have been going to Dr Klein for around 20 years. She is not only the best dentist I have ever had - but the best overall allopathic health provider. She has an enormous body of knowledge that is holistic and integrative as well as her highly skilled dentistry. My brother-in-law is a dentist (in Pennyslvania) and when I've told him of the things Dr Klein has done he has repeatedly told me "stick with her - she's really good." I agree!

Dr. Klein is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. She consistently cares about her patients and wants them to feel their best. She's also one of the few doctors I've had who looks at causes of any symptoms, rather than just treating the symptom itself. The office team is friendly and welcoming, and all told, this is probably the only dental office I like visiting.
