I've always had a fear of dental visits however Dr. Cranska and the entire staff made my visit actually enjoyable. Clean, competent, and efficient. Explained everything in detail and put me at ease. I have been a patient of Dr. Cranska's for over a year now. I came to him in an emergency situation having two of my crown's fall out. And my former dentist's office for over 15+ years told me to just put them back in myself and they couldn't see me for two weeks. I got an appointment ASAP with Dr. Cranska.

Dr. Cranska became interested in dental lasers and sought training in Laser Periodontal Therapy (now FDA approved as LANAP, Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), a breakthrough procedure to treat periodontal disease. In 1999, he trained to become one of the first ten dentists in the world to use this procedure.
Here at Family Laser Dentistry we practice complete general dentistry for the entire family. Based in Serverna Park, Maryland, we serve the greater Annapolis, Broadneck area and beyond. With our help, proper oral health not only keeps your smile brighter and healthier, it also helps to prevent chronic diseases.
Nothing boosts our patient's self-confidence quite a like a healthy and bright smile, and for that reason alone, cosmetic dentistry has always been a favorite practice area here at Family Laser Dentistry. Of course, people choose cosmetic dental procedures for various reasons - to repair a defect such as a malformed bite or crooked teeth, treat an injury, or just improve their overall appearance.
Dental Implants are small titanium "fixtures" that take the place of the natural root of the tooth and are gently implanted into the bone, using local anesthesia, these very tiny titanium roots actually bond or integrate with a patient's bone, more securely than natural root would. Often an osseointegrated dental implant placed by your dentist is more stable than a natural tooth's root. Upon these implants, we can build permanent teeth, custom designed and shaded to aesthetically suit each patient's distinctive facial requirements.

I was a patient of Dr. Cranska during my entire childhood until I left for the military. Its been 22 yrs since I've been his patient. Today was my first time back. He and his team made me feel extremely comfortable. The pricing is about average. But the quality of work is amazing. Not only was my extraction flawless, but the 2 sided filling he also preformed shows no difference at all from a normal healthy tooth. Would give more stars if they were available.

Sue took great care of getting my appointment set up and is always helpful with billing and scheduling. Dr. Cranska reviewed my situation and put my crowns back in temporarily.
We had to get the inflammation out of my gums in get them in better shape before I could get new crowns. I had a cleaning with Allison, she does a great job of getting your teeth clean and your gums in good shape. Fast forward a few months, since the gums were doing better, we took impressions to make new crowns. Dr. Cranska did a great job of detailing out and explaining his plan for me throughout the whole process.
His dental assistant, Angela was involved with the process as well. She was making sure that I was doing okay with everything and did a great job. My crowns are great, and my teeth and gums are in much better shape than when I first came to see Dr. Cranska. All of my interactions with the team here have been outstanding. They are friendly, professional, courteous helpful, and above all empathetic and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Cranska and his team. They are amazing. I am so pleased that I found him.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to thank your office for the laser crown removal treatment last week, and also to offer my strong recommendation to anyone else out there who might have issues similar to mine. In short, I'd recently had several crowns done by another dentist, and had been experiencing a lot of problems and complications. I'd gone through two iterations of crowns on my lower front teeth, but they were never cemented or adjusted properly and I was experiencing quite a lot of soreness and discomfort with my bite.
I knew I needed them fixed, but was concerned that my teeth wouldn't be able to handle the trauma of having them cut off again (not to mention the expense of having new crowns made). I couldn't seem to find any alternative, however. So I did a good bit of internet research and eventually found a paper Dr. Cranska had published on using laser technology to remove crowns without needing to cut them off.
It seemed almost too good to be true (indeed, few other dentists seemed to be even aware of the technique), but I made a consultation appointment and traveled up to his office. I'm very glad that I did, as Dr. Cranska's treatment exceeded all of my expectations. First, he was able to remove the problematic crowns via laser, without any significant pain or trauma.
And since the crowns weren't cut off, he was actually able to adjust and properly cement them right back into my mouth. As a result, my major issues were resolved, without any of the tooth trauma I was concerned about, and without needing to make new crowns. In sum, I strongly recommend Dr. Cranska's office to anyone in need of crown removal. As a patient who knows what it's like to have crowns physically cut out, Dr. Cranska's laser alternative struck me as nothing short of a miracle. If I later decide to re-do any of my crowns, I will definitely return to his office for laser removal. Thanks again!
