No one likes to visit the dentist and when a tooth started killing me a few months ago, I broke down and went to see my wife's long time dentist. I thought my first visit to Dr. Balais was going to be for a simple tooth ache. I had no idea that it was actually one of my molars that was causing the pain. After a few minutes, Dr. Balais informs me that the tooth is infected and needs to come out. I'm thinking "Great first visit to my new dentist!".
She offered to take it out right then instead of making me wait for another appointment to open up later in the month. The tooth came out with no problem and I was so happy with Dr. Balais' 'chairside manor'. She's professional but friendly at the same time. Having dental work done hurts, that's just the nature of having procedures done on your mouth, but Dr. Balais genuinely cares about anyone that needs dental assistance. Her office staff is fun and quite bubbly, too.
