Super friendly staff and doctor. We have been going there for years now and they make it so much fun and comfortable for my child that he actually looks forward to the visit. I would recommend this practice to all my friends and family!

This is a great practice. I have been taking my children to Dr. Bachaus and Dr. Overcast for years. Everyone is friendly, and they take great care of your children. The office and exam rooms are clean and very relaxing. My sons are autistic, and they take excellent care of them. The doctors and staff are very caring and patient. I would highly recommend Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry.

My kids have been going here for many years. Very nice and dedicated staff and excellent dentists. Thorough, provide documentation for procedures beyond routine cleanings and on call as needed. Provide paperwork for each cleaning such as dental hygiene and ways to improve. Try and take both of my kids at once to make it easy. Excellent hygienists. Nice waiting area (pre-Covid). I recommend this practice highly.

The professionalism coupled with the genuine love for children as well as their work was absolutely amazing. The office is bright and welcoming. The way that the entire staff dealt with my toddler boys was so awesome. I would definitely recommend Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry to my family and friends.

Excellent pediatric dentist! Dr. Backhaus and her team made my child feel very comfortable even through her first cavity. The office staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is clean and modern. I would highly recommend this practice and dentist.

I was very impressed with this practice. This was my first visit after having to leave a practice I loved due to insurance changes. I was greeted at the door by one of the front desk staff. She was very interactive from the moment we stepped in. Sue was our dental hygienist. She was AMAZING with my daughter! She explained everything to her in a kid friendly manner. Dr. Baukhas was great as well.

Very knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know about my daughter's teeth. Overall the environment was very light and gentle and peaceful as it should be in a pediatric practice. The office was very clean as well. The whole entire process was smooth even down to when it was time to checkout. I believe I found my dental home. I highly recommend!

My daughter have been going to Dr. Backhaus for over 7 years, and she loves this office! Everyone is so welcoming and sweet, they make kids feel completely at ease. The office is super clean and modern, with modern equipment.

I've been coming to Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry for over 15 years. My children have experienced dental visits/ orthodontic visits/ and pulled teeth with this practice and I have to say every visit has been an excellent experience! The ladies at the front desk have always shown a great deal of patience when trying to work with my extremely. hectic schedule.

They always managed to squeeze our visits and we very rarely have to wait when we arrive for an appointment. They are wonderful about sticking to the appointment schedule to avoid making patients wait. The hygienists and doctors are awesome! Ever since my children were little, these professionals have always taken the time to explain procedures and they work diligently to make any experience as pleasurable as possible for their patients.

I took my daughter for her first dental visit this week. She tends to be shy and nervous about new things, and her last comment when we left the house was "I'm a little scared". At the end of the visit, her last comment was "Can we stay?" From the moment she hopped in the chair, our hygienist Sue was fantastic; very welcoming and de-mystified everything.

She had my daughter laughing and relaxed immediately, and the check-up / cleaning was a breeze. The other hygienist and dental assistants were equally warm and immediately ready to help out to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. And Dr. Backhaus was just as great with my daughter, who needed no time to warm up to her. She sat with us, gave us information, answered my questions and never rushed to move on.

I had to resist the urge to ask her questions about my own teeth because of how warm and relaxed the environment was. On top of that the facilities were modern and clean and comforting for children. I very rarely write reviews, especially after one encounter, but I really was so happy this was my daughter's first experience. She kept asking when can I come back, and then gave me a sad face when I said 6 months. :

I have a 5 and 8 year old that have been going here for 2 years. My 8 year old has severe anxiety about doctors and dentists, but they make her feel comfortable and talk her through everything in a way she understands. They are patient and kind. My 5 year old told the hygienist that she loved her today, my heart melted. They have a great time. The office is clean and kid friendly. Wish they had adult dentists like this.

Everyone is always so nice and easy to talk to. They make my kids so comfortable while working on their teeth. My kids LOVE the dentist. Been taking my kids since my 11-yr old was a baby. Highly recommend.

Was there 20 years with my children. The past year the staff were so disrespectful to my children. They were rude and not caring at all. Very disappointed. new dentist here we come.

They were very accurate with my daughter who was getting braces. It took 1.5 hours and they were very thorough. We went home to have lunch and she kept saying one of the brackets are loose. I called them right away. They told me to come back and fixed the problem right away. I am very happy with their service.

We have been going to Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry for years and are extremely satisfied. Dr. Backhaus and Dr. Overcash are wonderful. We have been with them through the first dental visit to braces and then some. I would not want to take my boys anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and they always make my boys feel comfortable.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Backhaus for over 10 years. The staff is very friendly and my daughter looks forward to her dentist visits. Lisa has been cleaning my daughters teeth for many years. My daughter enjoys having conversations with Lisa about school while having her teeth clean because she makes her feel comfortable.

I take my 14 yo there since he was 4! The staff is very friendly, everybody makes him feel comfortable. Is a great experience each time he visits! Thank you

The staff are very pleasant, kind, friendly, and courteous. I've been bringing my son here for almost 16 years, he likes the place so much, we never had any problem even when he was much younger, they always keep the kids entertained while waiting in the reception area, they always make the kids comfortable. They explained to you and to the kid whatever they did and will be doing on the next visit, no surprises. We never had any problem making appointments, they tried to accommodate our busy schedule. The place is highly recommended.

Very nice and friendly staff, never have an issue making an apt. I have been bringing my son here for 10 years. He enjoys going, their are things to keep the kids entertained wile they are waiting and they are always so nice to him. I picked them for my sons dentist because this was also my little brothers dentist and him and my mother liked it here also never had a problem, its nice and close to home and everyone is very friendly and helpful!

I'm very surprised to read the last review. I completely disagree. Our daughter has been seeing Dr Backhaus of Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry since about age 2. She is 7 1/2 now. She fell and cracked almost her entire front tooth. Dr Backhaus performed a pulpotomy. She fixed the tooth and it looked perfect for years until the baby tooth fell out : I trust her, she is great with kids, and the staff is great with kids. I also feel very confident with her skill level. I have never seen her be anything but professional.

My family have attended this practice even before the 2 new Doctors took over, and they have now turned this office into a money HUNGRY machine! The assistance are great, but the Doctors care only about the money. Dr Michelle Backhaus is rude and unprofessional in my opinion, as I overheard her berating about a client and her appointment as well as what her insurance would cover & pay.

Mind you, this was all in ear shot of me, my child and one other client in the waiting room. As soon as my child is finished with his procedure we will be leaving this practice. When you start to only car about the $ it's time to find a new profession!
