Services
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

By far the best practice you can take your kids to. My daughter has intense anxiety & today Dr. Thai & her hygienist were AMAZING. They talked her through the procedure, even sang to her as they did the extraction. They are ALWAYS very kind & supportive. Very professional & kid friendly from the moment you open their door.

Although I've never been, whenever my husband returns from our son's dental visits, he always raves about how amazing the staff are with our (special needs) son. They are patient, and gentle, and so sweet- singing to him throughout the visit. We feel very lucky to have such a wonderful pediatric dentist for our son.

They've been my dentists since 2005? They are fantastic dentists. They are nice and friendly with all the patients (mostly children). They will have friendly conservations with you when they're working on your teeth. They have TVs usually tuned in to kid's cartoons to entertain patients like I said are mostly kids. Would recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist for their children.

Brought my 4 year old daughter here for her first ever dental visit. She's a hyper kid who has a hard time adjusting to new people and places. The dental office runs on time and the staff is nice enough. However, there are some things to consider about this office. One, the exam chairs are near each other in one room; I would prefer each child to have a separate room so they can't see each other scream or cry. Two, the appointments are set 15 mins apart from what I can deduce.
I felt like the assistant & the dentist was rushing my child, not giving her time to adjust. At one point, I was asked if my child has autism because she wasn't attentive enough? Overall, this office would work great for some kids. I have decided it's probably not the best environment for the child I have.

We called her Dr. Jacky when she worked in San Jose. She was genuinely engaged with the kids and parents and extremely friendly and professional. She relates to the kids on their level and successfully was able to get my son to be calm, laugh and get over his fears while checking his teeth or doing whatever procedure was needed at the time. We miss seeing her every 6 months and wish her well at her new office.

I would like to recommend this dental clinic to every body, the clinic was very clean and that is very important, specially in this times, the staff was very friendly and profesional, one thing I really really loved is that the staff took the time to make friend with my kids, they were making them laugh and smile all thru out the visit which makes it easier for me to bring them again ( no more struggling ) They were very efficient and careful not to hurt my kids. I am very happy that I picked this clinic. Also the prices are great

This review is long over due! Dr. Thai and her staff are phenomenal! My children have been coming here for their dental needs for a few years now and I must say they are very good at what they do. The office is always welcoming, clean and punctual. The dental assistants are so sweet and Dr. Thai remembers you even though she only sees you twice a year.
My son had to get cavities unfortunately and they have laughing gas which helps them relax I believe for around $60 or so extra dollars we'll worth it if you ask me (use your FSA card if you have one). There is also a joke of the day which keeps the kiddies guessing. Love this place and I'm sure you would too! Book your appointment now.

Dr Thai and her staff are hands down the best in Northern California. I feel so fortunate that we were introduced to her last year. Both of my daughters love the office and staff there. They are wonderful with kiddos. They never over treat, are very humble and empathy, and genuinely care about their patients. I hardly ever post reviews because of lack of time, but for this office, it's just mandatory.

This place is amazing! My daughter had her first dental appointment today with Dr. Lee and her assistant. They did such a great job communicating with my nervous 4yr old. Office was clean and organized. Front office coordinators were so professional and helpful. She's looking forward to her next appointment.

So grateful to have found Dr. Thai. We dropped the ball on getting our little one to a dentist sooner then later. We were hesitant to take him during the pandemic but the Dr & her team are extremely Covid compliant & wonderful people! Our kiddo had major issues which required having him sedated to have all work done. Cannot express how grateful we were to have Dr Thai, her team and Anesthesiologist on our side.
My husband & I were so worried for our little one & the procedure & they welcomed us, cared for us & did a wonderful job with our child. It is so hard to put your trust, and your child's safety in someone else's care but Thank God for Dr Thai & her team. We are one happy family & we have found our child's dentist! Thank you for showing such kindness, dedication & professionalism during these hard times. We are forever grateful and so happy to have found this gem in Hayward!

I called to schedule an appointment for my 7 year old that has what looks to be a cavity. I selected this office because of the great reviews but felt like I wasn't "qualified" for my daughter to be seen soon because we are new patients. I was told appointments were being booked well into April and I couldn't join the cancellation waitlist because the "system" doesn't allow new patients to be considered, that they have 10+ people waiting on the list that they have to prioritize since they are existing patients. Don't bother calling here, continue looking for other more empathetic offices. It's mind blowing that in 2021 there is so much urgency and accommodation in things like food and retail industry but a children's dental office is so rigid in their dealing with appointments.
They mentioned COVID as if the billions of people in the world weren't also dealing with COVID as well. It's a universal struggle managing a business during COVID but a pediatrics office has a responsibility to the children. So bummed. I am a business owner and I do not recommend this place. Definitely felt treated like a second class citizen due to not already having a history with the office.

I just started coming her due to a friend's referral. I have taken my son 3 times so far and he has one more appt 3 weeks from now. 1. Cleaning and check on a broken crown that came off from eating Hi-Chew candy 2. Place the new crown and then found an infection underneath his tooth that might need an extraction and his gum had a bubble 3. Extraction Soon: 4.
A spacer so the teeth surrounding the hole doesn't move all over the place before the adult tooth grows in. So my son is 4 1/2 and cries like no other. They we patient and calm and knew how to deal with the situation accordingly. They take the time to explain everything in detail and even explain the cost. There is no hidden fees and everything is up front.
They do not try to charge u random prices and force you in any way. They give professional opinions and suggestions. Doctor Thai is amazing as well as her team. The also take the time to answer questions over the phone and doesn't rush you to hang up to answer other calls either. This place is great with covid procedures and sanitizing seats and rooms before having a patient come in.
They have air purifiers everywhere to circulate the air. Chairs, desks, counters, ceiling, televisions etc are all clean. (You know when you enter a dentistry and it looks so run down and chipped paint with faded old posters etc or with cobwebs and dust everywhere; well this place is not like those dilapidated places. It is nicely decorated and CLEAN!) I held off for awhile to really get an idea of how this place is like; this place is legit 5 stars and above!

I just want to say this is the best pediatric dental office for my kids by far. The assistants and dentists here are so friendly and during covid they kept the place exceptionally clean for their patients to feel at eased. I can email them with emergency questions and the Dr. Thai would get back to me within hours or next day even on her day off. Always there to squeeze in emergency appt for my kids. This is by far the best dental office.

Dr. Thai has been my son's dentist ever since he was a toddler. Now, he's already 13 years old and the only dentist that he is comfortable seeing is Dr. Thai. She's a very caring, and patient doctor. Her staff are all good with kids. I don't know when my son will outgrow this place. However, as long as they're willing to take him, this is the only pediatric dental office for us.

I love this pediatric dentist that's so close to home. The dentist and assistants are all super nice and in tune with kids. My child actually likes going to see doctors and dentists, so that makes it a little easier for us. He is, otherwise, a ball of energy so it's surprising how calm he is. We went through anesthesia for my then two-and-a-half-year-old for his fillings and it was absolutely nerve wracking.
I held off for a while because I didn't want my son to endure this procedure. I felt like such a bad mom for letting my kid get so many cavities, but he's prone. Anyway, anesthesia is through a contractor, who was a stellar anesthesiologist. He made me feel at ease and talked me through everything beforehand. The staff also assured me that there was nothing to worry about.
We decided to move forward. There were many tears between mommy and baby, but we were relieved we took care of his cavities. He likes going there also because of the fun house/play structure, but I think that has been removed due to COVID. Thanks to Dr. Thai and staff for taking care of my son's smile!

Honestly, this staff is the answer to parents and kids who need extra care! My son and I were both so very nervous about his needed dental treatment. Dr. Thai and staff over exceeded my expectations! Her attention to details that made his visit easier were awesome! The front desk receptionist Katie was kind and calm with me (my anxiety was terrible) even when I didn't deserve it! I can't say enough about this office. I've worked in the dental field for over 20 years and this staff did everything right. Highly recommended!

Who is not scared of the dentist?! I'm an adult and I've been seeing a dentist since forever! But it still stresses me out. My daughters, on the other hand, love the dentist and I'm sure it's because of Dr. Thai. My 3 year old's first visit started out like you'd expect, she was just not having it when Dr. Thai's staff tried to clean her teeth. I thought there would be no chance of her getting her teeth cleaned because she was screaming and kicking like a totally normal/crazy toddler.
Boy was I wrong. Dr Thai worked her magic and calmed my daughter down by singing children songs all while getting my child to open her mouth for the examination. I don't know how Dr. Thai got through the full exam, but she did. My daughter's second visit started with the same normal/crazy because she was still afraid of the staff but Dr. Thai was able to soothe her again.
By her third visit my daughter wasn't afraid at all - I think anyone could have helped her because she now had positive dentist memories. My daughter asked me to buy her the dentist Barbie bc she wants to be a dentist like Dr. Thai . As for my other daughter, who was 10 at the time, Dr. Thai didn't have to sing a tune but she sure would have liked it.
Now if only I could get my dentist to hummm something for me! If your child is scared of the dentist because they are traumatized or scared because it's new to them then I highly recommend you give Dr. Thai and her staff a try. They are awesome!

You know when there is true care from a practice and I experienced this with Dr. Jacky. She's a healthcare professional who goes beyond standard services to respond to patient needs no matter the situation. In times of lockdown, such as we are facing in 2020, her immediate attention to clinical issues/concerns really shows the type of all-around service this practice provides. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Thai is an incredible doctor! I called the office on a Friday before Labor Day weekend. They happened to be closed and she herself had answered the phone while doing paperwork. I made the call in regards to my 18 month olds gums. She woke up with super inflamed gums and in so much pain. Dr. Thai told me you are welcome to bring her in although I have no staff or if easier for you.
You can take pictures and email them to me and we can go from there. I was worried because it going to be a long weekend with this concern. I was able to take good pics and she already could tell what the issue was. She sent in a prescription to my kaiser pharmacy and I was so relieved we could resolve this issue with just one phone call. She is such a genuine, affectionate, and caring dr. Top level care I haven't experienced in years.

I never write reviews for anything, but was blown away by our first visit to Dr. Thai's office. My son is deathly scared of going to the dentist because we had a bad experience at another office. He's six years old so he remembers everything from that last office. After lots of bribery, we got him in to see Dr. Thai. Immediately, he felt at ease because he saw other kids playing in the play room. Sure, the play room is a little old and dated, but kids don't need much.
When they took him into the back, he noticed the TV right away and gave me the biggest smile. He knew he was in good hands. Dr. Thai walked us through the whole procedure and patiently answered all our questions. Our last dentist told us our son had tons of cavities that needed to be addressed right away, but Dr. Thai explained she would put a watch on some of them as they didn't seem too bad.
With good brushing and flossing, she said the cavity would be easily managed and would probably eventually go away. As a parent, the last thing I want for my child is for him to go through unnecessary invasive procedures so I'm really comfortable with Dr. Thai's cautious and gentle approach. I honestly have told ALL my friends and family with kids to come see Dr. Thai. Even if you don't live close by (we come from Morgan Hill), it's totally worth the drive if your kids won't be scared to see the dentist anymore!

After rocky start we really had great experience with dr. Thai's office. I am really amazed by how thorough she is in explaining procedures. My son needed 4 crowns on baby teeth and it was preformed in total anesthesia. Both dr. Thai and her staff made sure the whole process run smoothly and that he is comfortable. All of my concerns were answered and she even followed up via phone this evening to make sure my son is recovering well. I would definitely recommend dr. Thai. Thank you for caring for my boy!

Our son has been seeing Dr. Thai for 2.5 years. He absolutely loves going to the dentist. Kids can tell when a person truly loves kids or just endures kids. It shows in Dr. Thai's bed side manners that she absolutely loves kids and the kids pick up on that. Dr. Thai will work to earn your child's trust first. Trust is what makes the difference between a good practice a great practice.

Our son has been seeing Dr Jacky Thai for 3 years, since he was 2. We visit Dr Jacky everything 6 months for check ups and I've never seen a kid so excited to go to the dentist. In fact, prior to the last visit our son asked, "Does Dr Jacky love me?" We asked why the question. His reply, "I want Dr. Jacky to be proud of me." He genuinely can't wait to go again.
There seems to be an internal clock with him because a few weeks before an appointment he'll ask when is the next appointment. He feels welcomed, and to Dr. J's credit, he feels as though she is genuinely invested in his health - in which she is. Pretty strong testament in my mind. Admittedly I've become better patient with oral care since he started visiting the dentist.
As a family we've all gotten on board with his commitment. We recognize it takes us to support his care. Dr. Jackie is there as our coach to make sure we're on track. Wish she could be my dentist. She specializes in children only.

1st visit was great and Dr Thai did an extraction that a different dentist tried but couldn't so I am grateful for that. And Arzu at the front desk is really nice. On the 2nd visit my son was happy as we headed to the "nice" dentist and he knew he needed a filling. Since he never used nitrous before for fillings I told Dr Thai not to use nitrous because I prefer to avoid drugs when possible.
It was a mistake because when she started he started to cry and would not cooperate or calm down so we had to leave. He was traumatized from the other dentist (failed extraction). So I was worried and didn't go back right away and also had a death in the family so we didn't complete the treatment plan. When we went back 9 months later Eve at the front desk was extremely rude with a stone cold look (not pleasant grin) and in a condescending way informed me that a letter was sent to inform me that I was no longer a patient there since I did not return timely to complete the treatment plan.
I spoke to Dr Thai and she explained that it was a legal letter to make sure I couldn't sue her and she also explained that she was personally very upset about how my son got upset at the last appointment because we didn't use nitrous. I feel like Dr Thai is more concerned with protecting herself legally and about her own feelings and Eve on her staff is rude.
