Dr. Shelley Shearer and staff are dedicated to our patients care and comfort. We are available to help you with scheduling an appointment, questions regarding insurance and our financial policy. Your first visit to our office typically includes an exam by the doctor and a series of X-rays that allow us to view the structure of the jaw, the position of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots, and tooth decay.
Preventative dental care is an important and effective way to help avoid later, more involved corrective procedures. Both brushing daily with flouride toothpaste and daily flossing are important preventative measures. Our doctors and hygienists follow the recommended guidelines of the American Dental Association, (ADA).

Dr. Shearer's staff is welcoming and approachable. I was taken back to the exam room within minutes of my arrival by a very friendly staff member. My 30-year old Maryland bridge was loose, but not loose enough to come out without some thought and effort on Dr. Shearer's part. She was able to remove it painlessly and without it breaking. She recemented it back in place perfectly. I've been a long-time patient. Thank you Dr. Shearer and staff for all you do.

Dr. Shearer is an amazing doctor, entrepreneur, keeps her family as a priority and is engaged in her patient care. I am a new patient, and switched due to my prior Dentist selling their practice. My husband, myself and my mother went to this dentist. During my and my husband's first visits we were told we had several cavities. He didn't get any filled at the time and I had many filled but still had one side of my mouth to do. We ended up moving states and finding a new dentist. After receiving services from the new dentist we were surprised to find my husband and myself only had one cavity each.
Now I am wondering how many of my cavities were actually just money in their pocket. Also, I was referred to Dr Waldens husband for a root canal in which I did and had a crown placed. It has only been 3 years and the crown is needing to be replaced. I didn't think about it at the time but on further thought now really feel as if this place is a scam as they are referring out to family members who also give services that are subpar and of monetary gain to patients expense and physical pain and health.
My mother was also told that she had a bony prominence in the roof of her mouth and that she'd either need oral surgery to be able to place a partial denture or to get pricey implants. After a second opinion she has a partial denture with no other issue even mentioned about the bony prominence on the roof of her mouth. After reading other reviews this place truly just feels like a scam and should be reviewed by the better business bureau if anything.

I used to dread visiting the dentist until I tried Dr. Shearer's office. Her staff is welcoming and patient with my questions from the time the appointment is scheduled until the visit is complete. She's also helped my young daughter learn taking care of your teeth is important (and can be fun, thanks to the office prizes and kind hygienists). Our family is a big fan of Shearer Family & Cosmetic Dentistry.

I have been going to Shearer Dentistry for about six years or more on my last visit I had my teeth cleaned and told her that I had a sensitive tooth were my implant was.she thoroughly check my teeth and gums before the cleaning. After she had cleaned my teeth Doctor Shearer came in and check out my entire mouth.also there is no waiting when you have a appointment which I love, ,I highly recommend them
