Much like a pediatrician, pediatric dentists and orthodontists specialize in oral health for children from infancy through adolescence. Beyond the completion of a four-year dental school program, pediatric dentists receive an additional two years of specialized training in children's behavior, growth, and development.
While we try to make sure all post-op care instructions are communicated clearly before you leave our offices, it's only human-nature to forget some of the details or simply need a reminder. So we put together this little guide as a refresher of sorts. Please follow your Doctor's specific care instructions as provided at your appointment, as they are derived unique to each patient's needs. The recommendations below are simply general guidelines and should not override any doctor's outlined care approach.
At First Impressions, we value and celebrate the unique differences of our patient populations. We believe that by providing unparalleled dental health care services to all individuals, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities, we are better able to represent and support our communities. As part of our integral service offerings, all First Impressions staff has received advanced education and training in order to provide excellent primary and comprehensive preventative oral health care to children with special health care needs (SHCN).
In support of the American Dental Association, we're happy to be celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month awareness throughout the month of February. What first was observed in 1949 as a day devoted to children's dental health, the initiative now marks forty years strong while celebrating as a month-long, nationwide health observance reinforcing the importance of good pediatric oral healthcare.

This place is wonderful! They make the introduction to dentists very relaxing and easy for children. Everyone is so nice and friendly and they have a play area to keep the little ones entertained while they wait for their turn. Highly highly recommend to everyone. They even have a fur legged helper who will give lots of kisses
