Dental decay is more common than childhood asthma. It is a preventable disease that begins with good dental habits, the right diet and regular visits to the dentist starting at an early age. Making informed choices on oral hygiene practices, nutrition and fluoride is what we help with. We consult personally with each family at every checkup visit to go over what needs fine-tuneing (or sometimes overhauled) with a patient's oral health. A young patient, nervous child or anyone with a history of a bad dental experience can be a challenge if dental care is needed.
A prevention plan is established with each patient and adjusted at every checkup visit. For a younger patient brushing recommendations, fluoride application and a discussion on dietary habits are bases that are covered with caregivers. Older patients may need sealants, over the counter mouth rinses and flossing tips.

My 5 yr old saw Dr Kim who saw a mark on her gums. She asked if it was bothering her to which I said no. Dr said she wasn't sure what it was and to wait it out. 6 months later I was told the same thing "wait" I got a second opinion (and a 3rd) and both of those dentist were surprised she said wait bc this is a tale tell sign of an infection and is a common complication when having caps.
This infection is beginning to harm the adult teeth and now surgery is recommended to have the caps removed before more harm is done to her adult teeth. I'm sure antibiotics early on could have saved us from the surgery she is now about to have.

We've been to this office with our kids and grandkids Number 3 grandson's first visit. What a great place to go for our grandkids teeth. A caring staff, explains what they find and how they help their patients with concerns. The fish tank is awesome btw, Lincoln loves looking at the big Blood Parrot Cichlid's. And that is his word for the day, cichlid

Dr. Kim and everyone I talked to were very helpful, clear, and open to answering any questions I had! They were all kind, engaging, and supportive with both of us and the visit session itself was well-organized. All discussion/ questions/ explanations were done before the actual dental exam so that I could leave as soon as it was done in case my child got too worked up. Thank you!

This office has friendly staff and dentists who know how to talk to children in a way that makes them understand what is happening during the appointment and the importance of taking care of their oral health. If you have a child who is fearful of the dentist, this is the place for you. They do a great job of keeping kids calm and making sure the experience is not scary.

My daughter has been going here for years and we love this place. OK Yes she thinks it's in a "Magical Forest" when we drive up so that helps and yes all she keeps talking about is that awesome "Treasure Box"! That aside from the moment we walk in it always is a pleasurable experience for us both. Staff is very caring and patient team really are professional. The dentist's are all top of their field and show real care for my daughters dental health and wellbeing. I Trust these people. You can too.

My kids have always had great dental experiences here! They have a kind and caring staff who go out of their way to make kids comfortable while doing a terrific job on their teeth. My daughter had several emergency extractions over the years; they have always fit us in and taken care of any dental issues in a timely and professional manner. My kids are almost adults and are still attending Dentistry for Children! Highly recommend!

We have been going to see Becker DDS and staff for about 20 years. My daughter is severely disabled and is nonverbal. This team of professionals are truly brilliant, both in working with people who are differently able, and in the caring and sensitive approach to the dental care delivered. The dental care itself has been excellent! I highly recommend Doctor Becker and his team to anyone looking for a Dentist, and especially to anyone who may be hesitant about going to the dentist.

My kids were patients at a different office for many years. Due to insurance changes, we switched to Dentistry for Children. After 3 visits with them so far, I wish we would have switched even sooner. The building is set in a wooded area and the area is so beautiful. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful as well. Dr. Seth & Dianne are great at what they do. Dental work on a toddler does not seem like an easy thing to do, but they manage to do it all with a smile and a warm demeanor. My toddler and older child love coming to their office!

Today was my 6 year olds first time going to Dentistry For Children and they were AMAZING! They were very accommodating, fitting him into their very busy schedule last minute for his emergency visit. Each person we came in contact with was so kind and friendly. They made my son feel at ease, explaining step by step what they were doing and joking with him along the way. THANK YOU for taking such good care of my boy. We will be back, hopefully next time just for a cleaning Happy mama.

I absolutely love this dentist practice. I take all four of my kids here and have been coming here for about 8 years. We saw Dr. Kim today and she was the best. They really know how to take care of kids and really explain everything well to parents. I can't recommend this dentistry any higher. You want to take your kids here!

Absolutely incredible. Just incredible. My daughter has/had a terrible fear of any dr or dentist. They were kind, so patient, and absolutely perfect. She was able to sit for an entire appointment, no tears, no crying. I am blown away by the doctor and hygienists kindness. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

Came here for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. I called initially needing a slightly immediate appointment and they got us in within an hour. They have a cute and friendly environment for children to play while waiting. The best part is that everyone is very friendly and the dentists are willing to explain and sit for the time you need.
I had questions and there was no rush to hurry us out. I also want to note that they were very thorough when taking a history and asked a lot of questions to make sure they had good notes. I HIHGLY recommend this place if you have kids and babies. We will happily be going here for as long as we can.

I've been taking my daughter here for three years. First let me tell you that parking is a breeze. Then let me tell you that the grounds are well kept from the parking lot to the front door. Once we walk in, we are greeted with a smile as well as "how can I help you"? They are so nice and polite! Plus my girl gets a party bag. You know, toothbrush, toothpaste, a little toy, and knowledge.
Then the doctor, no matter which one, they're all great, shows me exactly what's going on with her teeth and what we can do as a team. This office is amazing from walk in to walk out!

Like another reviewer, I drive nearly an hour to visit their office. After a not so great experience involving my son with another practice on Bainbridge Island, I wanted to find a child centered practice - and Dentistry for Children has been great. My son actually enjoys going to visit Dr. Becker and the other dentists at Dentistry for Children! I like that they have lots of options for making children comfortable, their non-judgemental dental counseling and the many fun activities they have for kids at their office. It makes visiting the dentist so much easier for him - and for me too.

We took our three children here (to the Port Orchard location) today for their first visits, ever. Ages 5, and twins who are 3. Not only was the office a warm, fun and welcoming environment, the staff were all friendly and professional. Each Dental Assistant took one of our children so all could be seen at the same time. The Assistants were friendly, positive and took time to show our kids the equipment before doing any of their cleanings.
The Dentist, Dr. Becker was very warm and fun with the kids and he was happy to have me watch him exam each of our kids and give me tips and tricks. The visit today was a fun and positive one for our kids! Thank you Dentistry for Children in PO!

My kids love going to the dentist (Dr. Becker) here and have seen him for the past 10 years. The office is welcoming and efficient. I have never had to wait for my children to be seen. Their insurance billing is spot on; never had a problem which I have had with other practices. Love that Becker is conservative in his treatment, for example, watching a hypo calcified spot instead of instantly putting in a filling.
One of my children received a mouth injury in PE at school and Becker's office was the first point of treatment and follow-up care (she also had braces), but they were great and very comforting for something that was upsetting and traumatic for my child. My oldest child is about to "age" out of the practice and we will be very sorry to have to leave.
