I had a bad experience at another dentist had been in pain for several weeks went here for second opinion had work done in one day that would most likely take several visits any where else and in 24 hours problems were fixed at a very reasonable price. I had a root canal and a molar extraction and both were almost completely painless. He is even amazing at the numbing shots. I could go on and on about how kind and sympathetic every single one of the staff were to me. If you are looking for a dentist this is the one!

This is hands down the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they're doing a wonderful job with all the extra COVID-19 precautions. There were very clear instructions on what to expect with the appointment from start to finish. Dr. Valbuena is very kind, calm, and efficient! I had to have several cavities filled but it was as swift as possible and I knew what to expect every step of the way. I felt very taken care of. I can't recommend River Rock Family Dental highly enough.

I had to have some dental work done and Dr. Valbuena was amazing. I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to dental procedures and he made it so easy. He worked so quickly and I literally felt NO pain with a root canal. I find that incredible. Even the next day I felt no pain. I'm not big at leaving reviews but he definitely deserves some recognition for this! If you are looking for a dentist this is a place to go.

Giving 2 stars just for benefit of the doubt. I went here about 2 months ago, looking for new dentists here in town. Visit was fine until I get to the checkout counter, where I'm being offered a 300 dollar bill and a date to take care of three cavities. At no point during the actual visit did the dentist mention cavities. Specifically, I was told I had deep grooves that should be watched, but were not a problem.
I refused the date, went to a different dentist recommended to me, and asked for the same treatment I had gotten here, x-rays included. No cavities, just deep grooves in three specific teeth (the ones I was told to watch). Will not be returning.

This is the only dentist that I have gone to more than twice in my adult life! Routine cleanings with the hygienists are pleasant and when I did need extra work, it was scheduled quickly and was practically painless. When I did have discomfort during the procedure, he stopped, gave me another pass at getting it numb and made sure I was comfortable before continuing. Unless something significantly changes for me, this is the dentist I will be seeing for years to come.

Dr. Joice is a godsend. I hated my smile. I was very insecure about my teeth. I hadn't been to the dentist in years. I finally started going and came here and started the ortho process and the results are amazing. I'm smiling and I love it. I cannot thank Dr Joice and Kelly enough for all that they've done. I highly recommend River Rock. You will get good results and their customer service is excellent. Everyone is kind and friendly and truly care about you.

I've been a patient at River Rock for about 7 years now. I've had cavities filled and cleanings there, plus a few other procedures and most recently a root canal and crown. They are very friendly and professional and I trust Dr. Valbuena to take care of me when I need something done. My root canal was rather painless, and I have some anxiety about my teeth being worked on. The office will call and check up on you after any major procedure and I really appreciate that!

They keep their office state of the art with a tv you can watch while having your teeth looked at. They also send out reminder texts or emails about your appointment. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly and they even have good hours. They shift their schedule back on Thursday's to 10-7 to be more accomodating for us 8-5ers. Made the fillings I got pretty quick and painless. Honestly the best dentist I've ever had. I may even come back here after I don't live in Lawrence anymore.
