I had an appointment with my four kids in October 2021. Both me and my husband went back with our kids to sit with them while getting cleaned and x-rayed. They convinced us to have my oldest two come back in three months for a sealant. When we arrived for the next appt we waited in the car for 30 minutes for them to let us inside (it took even longer at our last appointment so if you're one that likes your appointment to be around the stated time, this is also not the practice for you).
Once they let us in the building they asked for my vaccination card. I let them know that I did not have a vaccination card. They told me that because I wasn't vaccinated that I'd have to wait in the car. I let her know that I've had covid and that's why I didn't rush out to get the vaccine and I expressed my surprise because I had just been there with my husband a few months ago and we were allowed back with our kids at that point.
Neither he or I are vaccinated and neither of us were asked about it. She said that that had been their policy and that there's signs everywhere. After searching for a sign I could see one in the distance behind the front desk, but not exactly what I would label as "everywhere". She also told me that they tell everyone about this policy. Obviously, I was not told about it because we had been in the building 3 months before with no issues and nobody brought it to my attention at any point during making my appointments or confirming my appointments.
I would not have wasted the gas or time coming out there. I explained that I didn't mind sending my oldest son back without me because he's a teenager but I didn't really feel comfortable sending my 6-year-old back without an adult. She told me that my 6-year-old would be with her older brother the whole time and when I asked if I could sit in the waiting room she agreed that I could.
So I sat in the waiting room waiting for my kids when I was approached by the office manager who let me know that I actually was not allowed in the building without a vaccination card. I explained to her that we had just been there and had not been told anything about needing to be vaccinated. I looked through my emails and text messages from this business and nowhere did it state that I would need to be vaccinated to be in the building.
My 6-year-old isn't comfortable with the dentist and would have been comforted having me with her. It was already bad enough having to wait in the waiting room but being told I wasn't even allowed in the building was out of the question. I don't allow my kids to get treatment anywhere without me present (surprised this dentist would even want that liability). It's fine if that's what you want your policy to be but one sign behind the counter is not going to cut it for communication.
I looked through all my emails and text messages and there was nothing mentioned about this policy. Not to mention the fact that when I made the appointment in the office I had just been back to the back room with my kids. Obviously nothing had been said at that point either. I don't like that I had to take time out of my day, take my kids out of school, and waste gas and time waiting for an appointment that never happened.
This business is free to have whatever kind of policy in place that they want. I would just hope that they would have the decency with their customers not to waste their time and instead provide acceptable communication about policies that directly impact the patients.

Horrible customer service! I've been using this dentist for years for my kids and I used to love it; however, it has gone downhill over the years. The office staff is constantly changing and the dentist is no longer as welcoming as she used to be. My most recent complaint is that my child's appointment was cancelled and rescheduled twice. When we arrived (on time) for the third scheduled appointment, we had to wait 40 minutes before being seen.
This was only after I complained about the wait. I expressed my displeasure and not one of the staff members or dentist offered any kind of apology or showed any concern. This is coming from the same office who cancels your appointment if you don't confirm prior or arrive late and who charges you for canceling the same day. They want you to respect their time but they have no respect for yours!

We have been using Dr. Harden for years now and have always been impressed with her knowledge, skill, and calming presence with our children. They actually enjoy going to the dentist. With COVID-19 and our return to visits, I was very pleased with the precautions and care that she and her staff have taken to keep her patients and staff safe. I cannot recommend Dr. Harden and her practice enough.

I absolutely loved it here! We have been coming for years, and the treatment is always the same. Clean facility, knowledgeable staff, and a caring Dentist who always has a smile on her face. Though we reside in Rincon, we are willing to make the drive to Savannah; the service here is just THAT stellar. Both of my daughter's have built up a trusting relationship with Dr. Flower, as she has a very easy going personality and calming spirit. We appreciate this office, and staff for being a part of our extended family.

My son has been here since he been 2 years old. I have watched staff come and go. When he first got here they had a show them. Where everyone wore the same type of shoes. I thought that was great and a great way to keep the work environment positive. The dentist is nice. However over the years the experience has headed down hill. It started with the appointments taking along time once you there.
Now it has moved to canceling appointments, which I understand things come up. But the thing is if I cancel the day of I have to pay a fee. Now it has appointments 30 minutes behind with no notice to the parents and they will cancel your appointment if you leave. This to me is an example of poor customer service. A simple phone call to let you know and do you want to keep the appointment would work.
Not to take anything away from this dentist but there are aways better ways of handling things that benefits everyone. Business have to be mindful that customer service can build or break a business.

Dr. Flowers and her staff are the epitome of professional. They are clean, gentle and kind to the children they treat. My child has been getting dental care with Simply Children's Dentistry since he was 3 years old, he is now 13! Great family atmosphere. We could not have chosen a better Pediatric Dentist. I recommend Simply Children's Dentistry wholeheartedly!

My family absolutely LOVES Dr. Flowers! I have four children and they all are patients, well except for my oldest. My oldest is 22 and will tell EVERYONE that Simply Children's Dentistry is the BEST hands down. She still wishes she could be a patient of Dr. Flowers. The staff is great and Dr. Flowers makes them feel comfortable and eased all of their fears of going to the dentist. In fact, they've said "getting their teeth cleaned at Simply Children's is so easy, you can go to sleep!". Thank you Dr. Flowers!

Please do not take your children here! My daughter needed a fill in and this is where her insurance recommended. At the time she only been to the dentist a few times. Upon entering the facility the staff was very friendly, they required us to pay 65 dollar refundable fee, if your child has to be contained during the appointment or lack of a better phrase acts up. Heading to the back I could here several children screaming, I thought it was just first time jitters.
Mind you the office is beautiful but that has nothing on the horror that happen during the service. My daughter did good until she started drilling there was blood everywhere, my daughter was yelling, I asked her to stop, she did not ( doctor). They took my money, placed the wrong size cap on her teeth, and left my daughter scared and terrified of going to the dentist.
She was sad for days. I did so much trying to fix the situation. Later we went to Dentistry for Children and he did amazing as well as replaced the wrong size cap on my daughters tooth. She has no issue going to the dentist now. I can only tell you about my experience here and it was horrible.

Worst staff ever, the Doctor is pretty nice, but she let's office staff bully patients. My son is a good boy never had a problem until we went here. The dumb assistant that came to put his dental damn on didn't know what she was doing! She smothered him and cut his lip in two places, also pinched him hard enough to leave a slight bruise as well.
I asked her to stop but she wouldn't, then the technician cam in and had to completely redo it and show her how she was wrong. When I told the office manager that the assistant needed more training in my opinion she got totally irate with me and said we weren't welcome back. I mean I wasn't going to bring him back anyway, but that b***h needs to wear a mussel, because if you can't handle customers complaining about your mishandling of their children's wellbeing, you don't deserve to work in an environment for children. Needless to say they suck, and left my son afraid of something he never had an issue with before. I probably should have sued them.

Let me say this! Dr. Harden is very understanding, sweet, and awesome children's dentist. The environment is great also. After my children have been patients for 2yrs I scheduled and an appt. Literally spoke with someone took the day off from work. The person I spoke with gave me an appointment time and date. I arrived to the appt on time sat there for about 20 mins only to be told my children are walk-in bases and there's no way they had an appointment.
I explained to the older looking lady who was told to me was the front office boss that I was told that. She again told me there was no way anyone told me that. The fact that I switch to walk in based wasn't the problem. But the fact that I drove cross town to be called a liar was very upsetting. Front office staff great. But whoever the office manager was is very rude and very unprofessional she struck a nerve. I hate to remove my children from seeing Dr. Harden because she's great but I can't be put in that predicament again. That was very uncomfortable for me.

First, I will say that the dentist has always been kind and professional. It's the inefficiency and incompetence of the front office that has been miserable to deal with. Every appointment, they require you fill out a novel of what should be new patient forms. It's a pain and a waste of paper; they could simply print all of your information on a single sheet, ask you to sign if it is correct and update if it's not.
They cancel appointments without notifying you, even though you confirm through their text messaging system. I could go on and on but I'm really just making myself angry thinking about it. EVERY visit has been a challenge. I have only stayed because we like Dr Harden and the dental hygienists, who are all so patient and caring with the children. I never write reviews, but I have been so dissatisfied with the office staff that I could no longer remain quiet.

Dr. Harden has been my oldest daughter's dentist for almost 6 years. Her entire staff is very gentle, knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to her teeth. The appointment always starts on time and I never have to wait like other places I've been. She encourages independence and allows my child to be a "big girl" and go back by herself. We have never had any problems, that's why I chose her as my second daughter's dentist, and she only has 2 teeth! As long as my children are child age, we will stay coming here!

I wasn't going to put this out here but you guys won't leave me alone! We went in for a cleaning. My 5 year old is autistic and did great but for me he locks his jaws and won't allow me to brush his teeth! I do my very best! Needless to say he had apparently 9 cavities the first thing out the dentist mouth is it's your fault you should be a better parent and make sure his teeth is brushed.
When we scheduled the fallowing appts to fix the cavities the lady said oh because he's autistic we will may need to strap him Down but my insurance won cover that and I would have to pay for it out of pocket! I decided to go get a second opinion which was the best decision! My son now has an amazing dentist and in only 2 appts his teeth were fixed no papoose! Also he never had 9 cavities! He had some but not 9!

Absolute worst dental practice I have ever taken my children to. Kids are screaming in the rooms. The dentist did not numb either of my children correctly and they felt the root canal dental procedures. My four year old who is a champ and never cries during any past procedures was screaming in pain. "She can't feel it. She's numb." B.S. Just as an adult can feel pain so can a child and just because they are little doesn't give you any right to ignore and not listen to them when they tell you it freaking hurts! Shame on you.
And just to inform you, I have reported you and the office to the Georgia Board Of Dentistry and will be following up on it. This is child abuse. Numbing procedures do not always work, as confirmed by other dentists we are now seeing. So when a child tells you it hurts, IT HURTS. I have felt the pain after a dentist told me I couldn't. Difference is I can speak up.
And after I tell you to stop the root canal procedure on my four year old you extract and rip the tooth from my 4 year old daughters mouth all the while she is NOT numb and screaming in pain. Now she has to get a spacer at 4 and has broken capillaries around her eyes. Don't worry Dr. Hardin, I will be leaving this review everywhere I can. Maybe you will change the way you treat children and the way you run your dental practice.
But you can't change the fact that you have scarred my child for life and she will now always fear dentists because of you. Or that you put her through excruciating pain because of your ignorance and egotistical b.s.

Simply Children's Dentistry is one of the few establishments in my experience where everyone is always friendly and professional. Dr. Harden and her staff makes my child and I feel very comfortable even when undergoing the more uncomfortable dental procedures. My son looks forward to his dental appointments because he loves the way he is commended and praised by the staff and likes the feeling when he's told he's been a "big boy", and a good patient. I would recommend Simply Children's Dentistry to anyone.
