Worst experience I had with a dentist. I have several debtal issues of which I am aware but was made to feel bad and within a few minutes was asked if I could afford the procedure in a manner that was condescending and made me feel like they assumed I couldn't. Thank goodness ive works hard and am at a point in my life where I can afford it and will be spending my money elsewhere instead of feeling humiliated by Dr peck. 285.00 to be made to feel bad

This is the best dental office I have been to in years. I had a wisdom tooth that got infected and no other office in the area would return my calls or emails. Taylor Street Dental got me into the office in a few days and were able to get my tooth out in the next 48 hours. It was a difficult tooth positioned on an angle. But the doctor accepted the challenge and my tooth was pulled with no pain at all. I'm new to the area from the west coast and this is going to be my new dental office. Thank you guys so much for your help.

Life is too short to spend in negativity. After my consultation with Dr. Peck, it was easy to make a conscious decision to not be where I don't want to be; namely, Taylor Street Dental. Positive options are available and worth investigating.

I hated how I was treated here. It's all about the money. Charges way too much for everything. He should practice what he preaches.

For all the negative comments written try scheduling with Dr Nardi family dentistry and Dr Dessesa at McNally brothers. They are located on Bicentennial highway in Springfied. They do amazing work on implants. Actually the practice is just wonderful. Guarantee you won't feel cheated. Don't waste your time in negativity. Level up and move on!

I saw Dr Peck for a few years. He misdiagnosed me and I ended up having implants installed. He told me, but now denies it, that I should wear my dentures right away. In doing so it placed too much tension on my implants and pulled them out of the bone. Every implant he put in has fallen out. He put tiny implants on the roof of my mouth (I'd rather have a kidney stone).

The pain was horrible. I went there in pain and he told my sister I was attention seeking. Consequently, after all this and $50,000 later I cannot wear dentures, I can't have implants, all the bone is gone, all that happened was I was a contributor to his new office. I have spoken to other professionals who said I was cheated. Now I have speech issues, I can only eat mushy food and he wants nothing to do with me because I posted a negative review on yelp. He threatened me and forced me to take it down. I've moved away now and am no longer afraid of his threats.

LOVE this place. I loathe dentists and have been to many in several different states, but this place is TOP NOTCH. You step inside a historic downtown Springfield building (major bonus points for having a business in a historic Springfield building) and the inside is beautiful. A lot of windows/natural light creating a modern industrial look. The staff are very friendly from the front desk folks to the dental hygienist to the dentists. I've been there twice so far and each time a great experience.

They also offer a WIDE range of services and make great referrals in the rare case that they need to. They didn't shame me when I was a little behind/slow to respond for follow ups either :) I will say the prices are a bit on the high side so if you are paying cash, be aware of that. Otherwise, no complaints at all and strongly recommend!

I had a real bad experience from start to finish. I was never told by his receptionist that Dentist Peck, did not accept my insurance. I was put in a dental chair and waited thirty minutes to be seen by the dentist. His assistant came in with a mirror, and kept pushing it in my face demanding to know what I wanted! When he finally came in his behavior was condescending and rude.

When I opened my mouth for examination he forcefully push a sharp dental instrument in a few places to make my gums bleed. He than said you need about $15,000.00 worth of work. He also recommended I get my teeth whitened before any work was done on my teeth. He quoted me $500.00 to whiten my teeth. He than insisted I had gum disease and would need special treatment every 3 months. ( It was confirmed by 2 other dentist, I did not have gum disease.) His ridiculous prices for Springfield area, made me laugh.

This is not Hollywood! His main concern was what channel I seen his commercial on? LOL He sent me follow up letters with scratch tickets, begging me to come back. This guy is so full of himself, over charges his patients, and treats his patients like their uneducated. Do not go to this loser!

I have been a patient of DR Peck for quite a few visits now getting gum disease treated and I had a couple Flash whitening sessions done. I used to be so afraid of the dentist. DR Peck and his lovely staff make me feel so comfortable. Most everyone greets me by name. They have done great work and plenty more to come! Highly recommend!

I probably speak for most of us that going to the dentist is not our favorite outing. That being said, Dr. Peck and his staff is by far the best I've ever met. Everyone is so kind and professional.(I can't believe I'm going to say this but) It's enjoyable to now go to the dentist. Thank you all! Karen Tetreault

My partner went to Taylor Dental because it was the only dentist within walking distance of his work that could accommodate his lunch schedule. They got him in two days after his call. He came home elated and raving. I didn't know someone could truly enjoy going to the dentist, but he did. A few months later I decided to try them out. I wasn't expecting to be as overjoyed by my experience but I was hoping, at least, not to be traumatized by it.

When I walked in the receptionist was extremely welcoming, offering me a water or tea, and immediately recognizing my partner's name when I mentioned him. My wait was short and I was brought to the back for an initial appointment. First I was given a tour of the entire office to help get my jitters out. I was introduced to the staff who were not with patients.

The dental tech (or assistant? I don't know the difference, honestly) was very relaxing. She offered me a blanket. The tools that were used were connected to a computer so I could look inside my mouth at the same time as she worked. They took frequent pictures, and later when the dentist came in he explained them to me. Sadly, I needed a root canal.

I was able to make an appointment immediately. I was a bit nervous about it when I came in. The dentist patiently answered every single one of my questions. He seemed genuinely pleased to be able to share his knowledge, and did so in a congenial rather than patronizing manner. He was calming and kind. He told me I should feel absolutely no pain during my root canal. Somehow, he was right.

I was given some special glasses with screens as lenses that played a movie for me to watch. I was able to chose a film from a very long list, which somehow included my favorite rom-com that few people watch (Because I Said So, featuring Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore). I was given headphones. We created a hand signal for me to show that I needed a break, and then he began the procedure.

I truly did not feel any pain during the root canal. The dentist personally called me the next day to make sure I was feeling ok and to see if I needed anything or had any questions. Both the attention to detail and incredible customer service are what set this office apart from other dentists' offices. While it is a bit more expensive than other dentists (and much more expensive than chain dentistry), if you are able to afford it and you are searching for a dentist office that pays close attention to you, meets you where you are, and helps you make goals to improve your dental health that are catered to -you-, then Taylor Street Dental is absolutely the dentist office for you.

I really have nothing to add to the previous reviews. This practice is in a beautiful office with friendly, informative hygienists, assistants and dentists. They have up-to-date technology and are willing and able to walk you through everything they are doing using this technology. Although I didn't see Dr. Peck professionally, he came over during my first visit, introduced himself and welcomed me to the practice.

I have only good things to say about my experience at Taylor Street Dental. That being said, all of this comes at a price, as you would expect. I have PPO dental insurance, and this practice is not in-network, so I knew my out-of-pocket costs would be higher. But in addition to the deductible and higher co-pays (which I expected) the amount my insurance didn't pay due to the cost being over R&C (reasonable and customary for the area) ranged from 25-50% of the charged amount.

I had a hint that this was coming due to R&C being mentioned explicitly in the introductory paperwork. I'm not saying the care isn't worth it, or that I wouldn't pay more for great care if that were an option - but for many of us, it just isn't. It's a very personal and individualized decision, preferably one that's made before the bill arrives.

My recommendation would be - if you have insurance, ask explicit questions about what will be covered and what won't. This way you will know your out-of-pocket up front and not be surprised when you receive the bill. Many services are optional, and my impression is that the staff would not be at all upset if you refused care you can't afford.

But be aware, you will be paying at least something out-of-pocket. Bottom line - if money is not an obstacle, I highly recommend Taylor Street Dental for your dental needs. It is head and shoulders above any other practice I have frequented in this area.

The office was very friendly. So friendly; it was a sales ploy. I had a cleaning and check up. They made a third appointment a week latter to complete the cleaning because they said my gums were irritated. When I received the bill for the cleaning; I couldn't believe my eyes. The Bill was almost $600.00 for a cleaning, xrays and a check up. They wanted to have me come back for 3 cavities. They estimated just under $1,000.00. Thieves! When I went to the Top Dentist in Longmeadow; He said I had No cavities. He said they were big liars!

Let's face it, most of us have probably had some sort of horror-movie-like dentist visit. I have had more than I can count, so it's become unnerving whenever I visit the dentist, especially one I'm seeing for the first time. My boyfriend recommended Taylor Street Dental to me, after hearing me gripe about the prices and the wait time at my previous dentist.

As someone who doesn't have dental insurance, the cost is very important to me. I figured I would try out this place, so I called for a quote on a cleaning. I thought that the price seemed reasonable and the receptionist was sweet as pie, so I went ahead and booked the dreaded cleaning. I arrived for my morning appointment, took the elevator up to the floor, and when the doors opened the Taj Mahal of dental offices stood before me.

The space is a beautifully renovated building in downtown Springfield, that stayed true to the architecture by featuring open brick walls everywhere. The waiting room had a fish tank, television, tons of magazines, and a coffee/tea and water station (mini fridge with water bottles). I was just about to ask them if I could move in and live there, when Angie, my hygienist called me in. Angie was very welcoming, and she gave me a thorough tour of their facility and also pointed out a lot of their dental technology, which was very impressive. Then, she led me to the chair of doom, or so I thought. Now, I'll spare you the details, but let me just say that I am no longer scarred by the dentist. Angie was wonderful.

She thoroughly cleaned my teeth, explained everything to me in so much detail, and even showed me pictures of my teeth to help me better understand what she was saying. Dr. Peck came in to check things out, and he was just as great as everyone else in the office. What I loved most is that they weren't pushy at all. There's a little bit of work that I need done, but they both laid out all of my options for me and never once made me feed pressured to commit to work that I wasn't ready to pay for, and that was so appreciated.

They were very mindful of the fact that I'm paying out of pocket, which is something most dentists don't do for you. I scheduled another follow up next month, and dare I say that I'm actually looking forward to this visit? I just might be!

I have always hated the dentist and honestly that word isn't strong enough! I let my dental health lapse due to that and have suffered the consequences! Many thanks to Dr. Peck, Joanna and all of the AMAZING staff, not only am I back on track but also no longer afraid of the dentist! Dr. Peck is gracious and kind, which is the personality of all of the staff that he employs as well.

I am grateful that I was able to finally put my anxieties to rest and get my dental health in check! Anyone seeking a new dentist or wants to change to a new dentist should absolutely make an appointment with Dr. Peck!

I have been seeing Dr Peck for about 7 1/2 years or more, and he has always been good. I had several major problems when I started and he was the only dentist who said he could save my teeth in all three problems, and he delivered. I am diabetic and have to have my teeth cleaned frequently, and the service is always nice. The staff are always nice and friendly which unfortunately is not always the case -- some places give you a cold shoulder.

Just (yesterday) had some pretty gnarly work done. Dr. Orr's performance was exceptional. She saved my tooth from its most likely extraction by deftly removing the decay and rebuilding it back perfectly! The procedure was absolutely painless! The level of professionalism, friendliness, and general all-around "down home" feel was fantastic. There is a sincerity in the effort to do the "right thing" for their patients that I thought had died years ago.

The understated exterior of their office belies the exceptional skilled work done behind that door. I commend the entire staff for always making me feel comfortable and going above and beyond to meet my dental needs.

I just got home from a deep cleaning appointment at Dr. Peck's office. I would consider myself a very skeptical patient, who is a big baby when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Peck and his Dental hygienist Angela Have been trying to convince me for over a year to do this deep cleaning. Well I finally started this cleaning, and I'm glad that I'm doing it.

My mouth feels great, and it did not hurt at all! Angela is the best hygienist I have ever had, and she truly cares about your dental care, it is not just lip service. If your looking for a cheap dentist, Dr. peck is not your dentist. However, if you want to pay a little more for outstanding service and care, then I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr Peck for approximately 11 years. He is the most professional and caring professional that I have been to. I am extremely dental phobic and I find that his caring attitude and professional manner are both calming and soothing. He will frequently ask if I'm doing okay and if I need him to stop doing something he will immediately stop and give me a break to gather my resolve if requested.

He has done extensive, much needed work on my teeth and I am very satisfied with my progress. Dr Lee, surgeon, has also worked with me and I find him also to be professional and concerned. He loves to see successes and doesn't appear to be satisfied with only okay. He wants to see great results. It has been a long road to completion due to my own health complications but the team at Dr David Peck's office have never given up on my issues.

I had my last surgery today and I am so satisfied with results. I am eternally grateful to Drs Peck and Lee for their presence and for keeping me from looking old before my time. Much thanks to Darlene, Beata and all the support staff at this office for befriending me and taking an interest in my care.
