Dr. Amar Mistry received his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University. He then obtained his DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he completed a 1-year AEGD residency (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) from Tufts University in Portland, Maine. Dr. Amar is also Invisalign certified. Dr. Mistry strives to provide positive patient-centered, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Erica was my dental hygienist today and I was very pleased with her work. She explained everything as she went along. When she scraped off the plaque, she was much gentler that I've had before. I don't know the name of the dentist who came in to check me. I was very happy when he said he could do a filling rather than do a crown. At my age of 85, I didn't want to spend over $1000 to do the crown, so I went ahead and had him do the filling, which took less than 30 minutes and cost about 1/5 of the crown. Overall, my 1 1/2 hours at the dentist was very productive and now I'm through for 6 months. I just looked up the name of my dentist - it is Dr. Amar Mistry. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a dentist.

Yesterday I had an issue with a tooth and have been looking for a new Dentist so I contacted Preferred Family Dental. Upon my arrival I was pleasantly greeted by the staff and called right back on time by Autumn the dental assistant. Autumn was very nice and helpful answering my questions and taking time to explain everything to me. Dr. Nagyl was extremely nice and he also took the time to explain how and what he was going to be doing, he made sure that I was numb enough to do the procedure and stopping in the middle to make sure I fine and didn't need any more numbing done. The overall experience I had with Preferred Family Dental was great, I highly recommend them for any of your Dental needs.

I was a new patient in November 2021. I already love this practice. They use cutting edge technology I've never seen at another practice. Wendy was gentle, kind, and very thorough. Both Wendy & Dr. Hoss took the time to explain everything they were doing before they did it. My teeth are cleaner than they've ever been. 100% recommend.

Had my first visit today. Wendy and Dr. Mistry is who I seen. Wendy was great and easy and explained everything she was doing. Dr. Mistry was great also explained things to me what my opens were and neither one rushed. The ladies at check in and check out were great also. And they are located so close to my house. Preferred family dental is a fantastic office, I made a cleaning appointment at short notice. Kristin got me in and was gentle and really great with her cleaning, the office is modern, clean and has the latest in technology, my teeth were cleaned using a painless air abrasion device. It was quick and I've never had a smile so clean and shining. My friends and family commented on how nice my teeth and smile look, I'm a patient for life now. Thanks Kristin and Preferred family dental. If you live in the area this is the best dental office. Period.

Preferred Family Dental has been wonderful. Everyone is courteous and super helpful with everything ranging from questions to treatment. I don't do well with pain and get nervous. I experienced zero pain and they worked with me being overly dramatic. I was treated nicely from start to finish. I wholeheartedly recommend going to Preferred Family Dental.

My husband does not take very good care of his teeth and has had some bad experiences with going to the dentist in the past so he doesn't go. Well he had to have 2 teeth pulled a couple days ago and because of the experience he had at Preferred Family Dental he is now going to have a lot more much needed work done on his teeth.
