Just an amazing experience for a routine cleaning! New in the area and was looking for a dentist to go in the Austin area. Everyone I interacted with in the office was super nice and really a breeze to setup an appointment + insurance check. Felt really comfortable in the office getting the cleaning. Will definitely go back for my dental needs!

Dr Fossum and his staff are absolutely amazing! Always smiling and welcoming and happy to see you there. The team is always prompt and on time for the appointment. They have also been able to fit me in when I had an emergency. And didn't feel like they were doing me a favor by doing so but truly wanted to help me. Amazing service and not pushy on products and/or procedures. Dr Fossum will explain everything really well and also his reasons for treatment plans and makes sure that you understand and agree with it too. Keep doing the great work! Makes it easy for us to continue with our routine care visits which many of us dread :

Dr. Fossum and staff were kind enough to help me out in an "emergency" (emergency to me, anyway) over a holiday. Everyone was so nice and patient with me and my dental anxiety, making me feel comfortable and well cared for. Office is well equipped and attractive and well located. Would definitely recommend!

Best dentist I've ever been to! Meg, Elaine, Dr fossum, Taylor, they are all AMAZING! Taylor and Dr. Fossum are so gentle with whatever they are doing. 0 pain, and they explain everything. I moved away, but do not mind making the drive because they are worth it.

This place has recently been taken over by a new dentist and his wife. They are extremely friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with Megan, the dentists' wife, who is very welcoming and kind. The assistant is very personable and friendly and experienced in what she does. The dentist is calm, kind, and has a gentle hand and should put anyone with a fear of dental work at ease.

I am leaving Austin soon and wanted to get everything done before the move, and we were able to accomplish everything quite quickly. I also do not have any Insurance, and I was worried about paying out of pocket. They were able to work with me financially, and I am extremely grateful for their understanding compassion. 10/10 recommend

Every single person who works here goes above and beyond expectations. From the receptionist to the dentist, everyone wants to make sure you have the most positive experience possible, which is hard for a dental office. I personally have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to dental procedures, but Dr. Fossum pulled out all the stops to make sure that I didn't feel a thing during my numerous fillings. And the bedside manner from all the staff is excellent, so compassionate and thoughtful. I cannot stop singing their praises, which are well-deserved.

My first visit went very well. Cleaning and X-rays. Staff was very professional and friendly. Dr. Fossum took the time to answer my question and concerns. He gave me the information I needed to make a decision on my needed dental procedure. Excellent dental practice!

Meg and Elaine at the front desk are 100% AMAZING and so easy to work with and schedule appointments! I trust my teeth to Morgan for cleaning/x-rays and Dr Fossum for the clean bill of dental health, Morgan even got me to floss on a regular basis!

After 8 years of living in Austin and cracking a tooth I was finally forced to find a dentist. I have anxiety and the last thing I wanted was someone's hand in my mouth. Great Grins was recommended on Next Door so I finally made an appointment and put my fears aside. Today I walked out with a new crown. I felt like a Queen because they were very friendly and easy going. No one tried to up sale me anything and it was as pleasant an experience as going to the Dentist could be. I am glad I finally found a Dentist and grateful I found this one.

My boyfriend had some trauma with a previous dentist and hadn't been to the dentist in a while. We saw the reviews for this office and I scheduled him a consultation to get to know the office prior to any services. He was blown away with the empathy and understanding of the office and is now ready to start his smile journey! I was really glad with all the help we received scheduling this type of an appointment.

I recently Changed Dentist and I am now going here as well excellent customer service was provided throughout the visit. The doctor and hygienist were very knowledgeable and comforting all Around great service and we would definitely recommend

This is an excellent place to have your teeth cleaned, maintained, fixed up, etc. Super friendly, their tech is impressive, the staff and doc are crazy good (knowledgeable and also actual human beings), it's exceptionally clean and they are accommodating in a variety of ways. While I won't give you my hygienist's name because I'm selfish, when you call and speak to Meg you'll instantly be very, very happy.

The doc can literally answer all my odd ball questions about what he's doing. My last cleaning, I asked what he was doing after he did his exam. He taps and sorta pings the teeth with those weird tools fairly quickly, but explained he's feeling for density and mobility and a couple other things. Unassumingly, he's got the skills and wisdom to be speedy, effective and has good bedside manner. definitely go here!

Great and friendly staff and drs. However, to be honest, the dentist needs more experience. My teeth are still need dental work. I feel like the work hasn't been completed. But the staff and dr were very nice!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I needed a new dentist since moving to Austin in June, and from my initial call with the front office I knew I had dialed the right place. Thank you, Erica and team, for the genuine care and effective outcomes.

My first visit was great Morgan the hygenist did a amazing job she is very friendly and took interest in me and very professional on the service that she did The Dentist Erica is very nice and also very professional the receptionist was very nice I thought this is a good touch on having a toothbrush in the restroom with toothpaste already on in case you forgot or need to brush again the Dentist office is very nice and inviting to come in

Dr. Elward and her staff are extremely friendly and professional. I was seen for my appointment on time and provided with excellent customer service. The office is lovely, full of light and very clean. One area of improvement: the staff had a hard time figuring out my straight-forward health insurance. After two phone calls, by the time I got to the office, it still had not been verified. But when I arrived, it was quickly resolved once I presented my ID card. Good experience; I recommend it.

Great Grins, the staff and Dr. Shaw have become the gold standard for healthcare professionals for me personally. If you have any doubts or fears about seeing a dentist, I can personally attest that you will receive the very best dental care. Everybody at Great Grins made every effort to genuinely help me with my teeth. I completely trust them.

I meant to leave this review a year ago but I figured it's never too late! Dr. Shaw was very kind and professional as well as her staff. I've recently went to a dentist here in CA cause I moved and I gave them a 4 star. For Dr. Shaw, she's getting 5 stars. Would definitely return if I still lived in Austin : Thanks Dr. Shaw.

Dr. Shaw and her associates truly made me feel like family. I have not been to a dentist in many years and i had a emergency tooth extraction that required much more finesse then i originally thought. I was able to get in and get it taken care of the same day, truly amazing. They continued to check in on me and worked with me regarding my employment considering i spend all day on the phone at work. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shaw and the entire staff at great grins dental.

Dr. Shaw is an amazing Dentist, I've had to have extensive Dental work and as someone who is even nervous to walk into a Dentist office, I felt comfortable, informed and cared about. She honestly cares and it shows. Her compassion for her paitients is second to none. As long as I am here in Austin, Dr Shaw will be my Dentist. Dr. Shaw and her staff are amazing and they work with you and your schedule for appointments. I can't express my thanks enough for this outstanding practice.

Dr Shaw and everyone at the office was wonderful. I loved that it's a small practice, so I know I'm going to see the same people and dentist (rather than getting bounced around a big office). They made me feel calm and went through my treatment plan thoroughly, and made sure all my questions got answered. I actually enjoyed a dental cleaning? I'm glad I finally found a place that I'm not anxious to go to.

I love Great Grins! I've been going there for a good 15 years now. They are friendly, accommodating and gentile with your teeth (I have sensitive teeth). I always refer my friends and family to Great Grins. They even remember the conversations we had from my last visit which always impresses me.

Dr. Shaw is an exceptional, conscientious dentist. She's gentle and spends as much time needed to assure completion and accuracy of her work. I needed a crown replaced after braces and she made certain it fit comfortably and was the right shade. I mostly appreciate her thorough communication of everything she does. She's a "cut above the rest" And her office staff and assistant are accommodating and pleasant. A great team with a comfortable relaxing atmosphere.

Dr. Shaw and her staff are awesome. I moved to Austin from Boston a little over two years ago and have been looking for a great dentist since. I've always gone to family-owned dentist practices where the dentist actually knows you by name and spends more than 5 minutes in an examination. I made the mistake of trying out Floss for an Invisalign treatment when I first arrived in Austin. Needless to say, that was short lived.

I came to see Dr. Shaw on recommendation from a friend. Her assistant gave me an amazing cleaning and then Dr. Shaw spent time walking me through my Invisalign treatments and showed me how she was going to help perfect my smile. She actually seemed to care about my teeth and treatment which was exactly what I had been looking for. What's more, Elaine, Edward and the rest of her staff are unbelievably nice and welcoming. My search is over - I've found my forever dentist!

I love everything about this dental office from the ambiance to the soft pleasant smell and music. The staff continuously makes me feel comfortable visit after visit. I have been well informed of my procedures, cost, insurance, etc. I find their follow up with us clients is amazing email, phone, text reminders of appointments and more.

My dental experience with Dr. Shaw and her associates was great! Christina was very meticulous and made sure the whole fillings process was comfortable and painless. Lauren the dental hygienist also gave me the most thorough and gentle cleaning I've ever had. There was no wait, and everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful.
