This is Jeanine. My visit with Dr. Patel was awesome! She was very thorough with the information she provided for my treatment plan. She made sure that any questions or concerns were addressed. Her assistant was just as thoughtful and informative as well. They were very professional and hospitable! I would highly recommend Bayview Dental

The dental practice is a bit expensive when compared to other great dentists in the area. I was also shocked that I was asked to sign a form indicating that I was please with my tooth although the tooth had not been placed. I advised the dentist that I would not sign the form until the work was completed - she apologized and agreed. I was also surprised and let the dentist know that I was not please with having her "assistant" place my temporary tooth - In all the years I have had dental work I had never experienced such a protocol - to have an assistant place your temporary tooth. Finally, the back office personnel (Vanessa) is not good - she acts as if she is doing you a favor not realizing that she works for a "service provider" and that clients should be treated accordingly. I also asked her to email me my receipt last Friday, June 3, today, Tuesday June 6 it remains unsent. This is incredible - very unprofessional

I had a terrible tooth extraction with Bayview dental in Jan and have not felt the same since. I have been trying to reach them for my dental records for 4 months and have not gotten a response- I have left several voicemails. And, they just sent me a bill for services that were paid for using my HSA. The statement shows it. Switched dentists.

Unfortunately, I've experienced numerous dental issues prohibiting me from enjoying certain foods and beverages during the past year. Fortunately, for me, I became a patient at the BayView Dental Associates in Downtown Sarasota since moving to the area a couple of years ago. The office staff, dental hygienist, and Doctor Phennatda have won me over by their exceptional level of care and professionalism. Above all, Dr. Phen is courteous and kind. A very special person and a great dentist.

Bayview dental and in particular, Tanya the dental hygienist, provided the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. They were professional, honest, and incredibly thorough. Tanya went through every step of her cleaning process with me and was brutally honest about the condition of my teeth and gums while giving constructive advice on how to get them back on track. Personable, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm actually Looking forward to my next visit.

I would cater to them if they were under my practice. World class care people!

After a year and a half hiatus due to the pandemic, I visited BayView Dental to have a toothache looked at. Huge bummer alert, I needed a tooth pulled and some cavities filled. While I wasn't thrilled about my circumstance -- especially since it was my own fault -- I was relieved to be in the hands of a very capable and communicative staff. Doctor Phennatda took the time to explain my problems, their prognosis, and the treatment options available to me.
She did expert work and even played some fun music. She was just great. Trinity took the time to number the teeth on my X-ray so I'd know what I was looking at when I got home. It was a small thing to do, but it meant a lot to me that she cared and took the time to help me understand everything. So she was great too. Martha (I think that was her name, it all happened so fast) cleaned my teeth in between making me laugh.
She was just a bunch of fun and for that reason, she's also great. But lets get down to brass tax, everybody fears the drill, the pain involved, all of that stuff that makes you wince when the dentist is mentioned. And this was the best part; the procedures were a breeze. I felt no pain and honestly had a great experience. I'd give this bunch a six out of five stars if I could. Thanks BayView!

Bayview Dental has a high turnover in dentists at the Main Street location. If I had not recently changed dental practices, I would be going to my fourth dentist in 2 years. You also need to keep an eagle eye on your insurance. On multiple occasions, Bayview charged me for procedures which were not allowed in their negotiated contract with my insurance (they were in-network), and submitted inadequate information to properly justify why several procedures were medically necessary.
I spent many hours watching what they were submitting to my insurance, and following up with them to make sure the charges and justification were correct. If I had not done that, it would have cost me thousands of dollars (I had significant dental work last year). They even said they had submitted an appeal on one charge which had been denied (the insurance provider said it was not adequately justified or medically necessary), however I found out that Bayview had never submitted an appeal to my insurance.
I ended up paying out of my pocket for that procedure since they could not justify it as medically necessary. And to beat it all, I was told I need to replace one of the crowns that Bayview put in less than a year ago since it does not fit properly and my tooth is exposed when it should not be.

Terrible! I went over what I wanted in detail, but it meant nothing. He did the cheap way claiming physics wouldn't allow what I wanted at the final appointment. He then hid in another room and left an assistant to explain. She apologized and said she is leaving for another dental practice which she did. They refused to send me my original plan we discussed at the start. Don't trust them with your mouth, you will regret it.

If you are looking for a long term relationship with your dentist and staff, you will not experience it at Bay View's Main St. location. When I first went to Bayview's Main St. location it was great. The dentist was great and very caring. I feel having a long term relationship with your dentist is important. However since 2016, the dentist and hygienist changes have been too frequent.
The dentist has changed 3 times and I lost count of the other staff changes. I understood the first dentist change, but 3 in 3 years is too many! It's time to get a select a new Dental Office. With each dentist change they promised this one would be long term. False promises!

This is a great place, very clean and professional, has a great location in downtown Sarasota and very friendly staff, however, they do tend to rip people off. in my personal opinion. I was almost charged $40 for an antibiotic mouth wash that costs $8 with a prescription. That really turned me away from this place. just a friendly warning.

I had made this appt months ago and gave all my insurance information to them saying if there was any problem about coverage to please let me know. They assured me they would contact me if they did not accept my insurance. I never heard back from them so I assumed all was good. I get in there and they try to charge me for my cleaning and exam. They also tell me it's the law that they have to take ex rays before a cleaning, which of coarse is not the law snd I'm quite aware of that.
And of coarse they were going to try to charge me for tat also. However, I know what my benefits are and I was not paying a dime.it was s big ordeal.them saying she's on the phone with my insurance and it's not covered.so I politely said fine I will leave. Then that's when she said let me check your mouth maybe we can give you a healthy mouth cleaning.ha.like what?
Anyway that's when she agreed to a " healthy mouth cleaning" but brought up the X-rays. I assured her under no circumstances I was having X-rays. They finally gave me the cleaning IF you want to call it hat bc i do better c, eating my teeth at home. I get dental cleanings every 4 months so I'm quite aware of how they go and how they feel afterwards and I left there feeling like I never even had them ckeaned.it was maybe 15 mins of nothing.never go there.it's all about money.
I called my insurance when I got home and they were like.you should never had to go through that.you have insurance that not only covered cleanings and Xmas but X-rays.terrible place terrible experience. I went home and made a dental appointment with a real place that, while they don't take my insurance, I know they do a great job.

I came in to have a crown down and was nervous about the injection and just the overall experience. I can not speak highly enough of the overall experience I had at this office. The office staff was friendly and warm and I can not speak highly enough of Dr. Heusner. Her gentle touch made everything so much easier and the injection I was dreading was barely felt.
And I can not leave out Oscar the most knowledgeable skilled dental assistant I ever met! Thank you all for making the visit one that has reassured me that I don't need to stress about coming back! I give A+!

Other than having an excellent dentist in Dr. Pereire, this multi-office practice is horrible! They are forever changing personnel and the office staff acts like they are doing you a big favor. I had been going there for several years and had seen 7 or 8 different hygienists. I don't know if they leave on their own accord or not. After one being so obnoxious and talking to me like I was senile, I wrote a long letter to the owner of Bayview, Dr. Liszewski.
Never got a reply - not one word - and that alone says a lot for the business! I went to another office hoping the hygienist would be better and she was - that is until the next time I went and she was gone (another turnover and not even a call to inform me). The next one I went to tried to tell me my gums were all 6 & 7's which I knew they weren't!
I should have listened to other people who told me that is normal for their practice - only caring about making $$$$$$$$$. The next girl actually agreed I had no 6 or 7's but she gave me the lightest cleaning I have every had - I left the office feeling like I needed a cleaning. That was the last straw! I wasn't happy about leaving Dr. Pereira since she is great but it takes more than one good dentist to make a complete practice.

Warning. Bayview Dental will lie about your dental work just so they can make more money! I had a horrible experience at the Stickney location. Basically my 3 page dental plan from Bayview was completely incorrect. For all the details please read my review on their page. I would never trust this dental company.

So far not so good. I am a very nervous dental patient. I came here once for my cleaning appointment. The office was closed. The send 10 text messages to confirm your appointment, and one missed phone call that they suddenly had to close for a meeting. Now I'm here for a crown prep, root canal, and a filling. They said we don't prescribe pain med because no has ever needed it. Bsht.
I made the mistake of assuming they would at least give me nitris oxide for so many procedures at once. They said no we don't. My appoint was at 10:30. They numbed me up at 10:45. It is now going on noon and no one has came back and checked on me or even begun the procedure. I'm finding a new dentist. The girls in the front are nice.
