My family and I have been going to Dr. LoPour for many years. He and his entire staff have always been kind, professional, and attentive. My most recent dental adventure was complicated and perplexing- Dr. LoPour and his wonderful staff never gave up, going above and beyond what would be expected! I highly, highly recommend Dr. LoPour!

Dr LoPour is the dentist I have always been looking for. His practice is perfection.

I first went here because of the Yelp reviews. After going to other dentist twice a year for the last 20 years, I was surprised at all the issues that were detected with my teeth here. They have lots of modern equipment and they did a very thorough examination of my teeth. The most notable thing I noticed here is how friendly and happy all the workers are.

They really make you feel at home and comfortable. When drilling or doing other work on my teeth, they were very tuned-in to every little noise and movement I made to make any adjustments to make me more comfortable. This is not a cheap dental clinic but you get what you pay for.

Dr Lopour and his entire staff are amazing! They have done very good work on my teeth. They are all very kind and caring. I highly recommend them!

I have been a patient of Dr. LoPour for preventive care, and most recently a major cosmetic improvement via veneers. The attention to detail and caring nature of Dr. LoPour and the entire office are amazing, and have helped me achieve better dental health and an incredible smile!

It has taken me some time to try to figure out how to say this. To say I have dental anxiety is a gigantic understatement. More like dental terror. Dr LoPour has managed to work with me despite this and has helped me in recovering. He is empathetic and beyond patient. I have put him through some difficult times. He stays engaged, he does excellent work, he conveys compassion and concern. Yes, he is my dentist and has done my dental work; and he has done so much more than that.

He has assembled a staff that is kind and professional and shares his qualities of empathy and care and kindness. I know, too many words. There aren't enough words to say how much I value him and his staff. Thank you.

I have been a patient of Dr. LoPour's for 13 years and at a recent visit he and his staff reviewed a sleep questionnaire with me. Much to my surprise I scored poorly on my quality of sleep. I also was educated in the size of my airway and how low oxygen levels when sleeping can lead to other health problems. Dr. LoPour explained the benefits of an at home sleep study versus one at a sleep lab.

After taking a sleep study home it became apparent that I would have a better quality of sleep using a sleep appliance. I've had my appliance for a week now and I've never felt more rested. Thank you Dr. LoPour and staff for a more restful night!

How many people can say they love going to the dentist? This girl can! I had my teeth cleaned yesterday, and I felt so safe and at home. Not only did Shelley do a spectacular job with my cleaning, she also provided invaluable insights about how some of my habits affect my oral health. She's so real and genuine. I also loved spending time with Brandy - her humor and kindness makes my heart happy every time. I highly recommend Dr. LoPour and his entire team!

I have to give a huge shout out to my dentist, Dr. Greg Lopour. I started to have horrible tooth pain yesterday and his office was closed today and he was out of town. He had one of his hygienist come in this morning to give me an X-ray just to find out I had a tooth abscess. He prescribed me an antibiotic and pain meds and we were going to take care of it on Monday.

Well I was in so much pain today that he drove BACK from his vacation to meet me at his office tonight at 7pm so he could give me a root canal for my horrible infection. And then he was going to drive the 2 hours back to his wife, Carolyn Paige LoPour to continue their weekend vacation. I could not be more appreciative and I highly recommend he and everyone in his office. If you need an amazing dentist, please go see him.

I was a very happy patient of Dr LoPour's for years before moving away from Albuquerque two years ago. Recently, my new dentist prescribed some questionable treatments that had me concerned and wanting a second opinion. I had a trip back to Albuquerque coming up and Dr LoPour graciously made time for my last minute request to see me. He gave me a full exam, took the time to walk me through everything he was seeing, and ultimately recommended against the treatment that my new dentist had prescribed. I'm so appreciative of both the time and recommendations that Dr LoPour gave me. He saved me from unnecessary and costly work!

Dr. LoPour and his staff are so friendly and accommodating. I am here from Texas and experienced a chipped front tooth and needed it fixed ASAP! Dr. LoPour not only fixed my tooth but gave me a great price which included a huge discount because of my financial situation and need. I highly highly recommend Dr. LoPour and his staff. I am very weary of dentists and he was quick, painless (no anesthesia needed because of his skills) and generous. Thank you Dr. LoPour!

I received fantastic care from Dr. LoPour and his team this week. Not only did they do a great job cleaning my teeth, but they also found time to fix a last minute problem. Their Covid protocols are first rate. I am fortunate to have found a professional and caring dental practice.

I was referred to Dr. LaPour by an acquaintance. I never had a chance to meet the man because the front office decided I was not a good fit for their office. I was a licensed chair-side dental assistant and oral surgery assistant for 12 years, so I know exactly the kind of dentistry I want and need. When I called to make an appt. I was subjected to a 20 min. interview, including all the details of my insurance. Later, they told me I had to give them my social security number because my ins. co. had no record of me.

But they were calling an ins. co. I had never heard of and was not my ins. co. that I had given them all the details about. They did not apologize or even admit they made a mistake when I pointed out their error. They want to take full mouth x-rays on everyone. A good dentist will discuss that with their patient, not demand it as a pre-requisite for being seen.

They want to take 7 or 8 bitewing x-rays. Four bitewings are standard for a yearly check up. Again, a good dentist will discuss with his patient the need for more x-rays at the exam, not insist on unnecessary films before the patient steps foot in the office. I asked for a fee schedule. A good dentist will be up front about his fees, not hide them like a top government secret.

I dodged a bullet when they told me they didn't want me as a patient. ( I knew too much.) Before you choose a dentist, ask lots of questions, know in advance what it's going to cost you, run away if the front office can't do their job properly, give your SS # to no one, and do nothing that your gut tells you is wrong. Dr. LaPour is very suspicious.

A friend recommended Dr. LoPour and I am glad I took there advice. I needed a lot of work done and every time I have gone in has been a great experience. I am greeted with a warm welcome and the team is very professional. The atmosphere is spa like, you even get a hot towel at the end of every visit. I highly recommend Dr. LoPour and his team.

I called them twice to ask them if they could take a look at my son (with autism) teeth. Each time the person on the phone said they'll call me back. No one ever called me back.

I was also former patient of Dr. Montgomery's and we moved over here when he did. I realize this is a boutique place, but they're always up selling. I always have to be super clear and assertive that we're only doing what insurance covers. My daughters went in without me last time and the front desk didn't check insurance status before giving service.

This seems to be routine with all of my other healthcare providers. It turned out our new insurance was not in network. So not only do they get to pass on the bill to me, but they were very rude and condescending about it and didn't even share partial responsibility for not having verified insurance.

Terrible customer service! Dr. Johnny Montgomery retired and merged his business with Dr. Greg LoPour. What a shame! The Greg LoPour, Montgomery & Gallegos / Smiles By Design Albuquerque office is fancy with modern furniture, accent walls, "free" refreshments and TVs everywhere. I thought it was really cool until I got their outrageous bill. Even though I had very good dental insurance I had to pay a lot of extra money for a simple cleaning with x-rays.

They will tell you insurance covers the charges and send you on your way, but in a week or two you'll get a bill in the mail explaining that your insurance doesn't cover all of the charges. To make matters worse, they hold your dental records hostage until you pay all their exorbitant fees, which is a HIPAA violation and very unprofessional.

After I paid my bill in full I'm still waiting for all of my records. Needless to say, I found a new dentist without the "free" lattes. If your goal is to be entertained and served refreshments when you visit the dentist this might be the place for you. On the other hand, if your focus is good dentistry at affordable rates you should look elsewhere.

I used to be a real dental phobic. Dr Lopour is the best. Great staff, comfortable waiting area. Have a cup of coffee, and some fresh baked bread while you wait for them to take you to the back.

I had a great experience! Friendly helpful staff. I hadn't been to a dentist in years and was very nervous. Clean, great service, and very honest. This will be my Dentist as long as I'm in Albuquerque.

The business office staff here is the absolute WORST at customer service. I've been a loyal customer of one of the dentists (which I love) but unfortunately dealing with the staff in regards to billing is a complete nightmare. You will find yourself getting bills for services you did not receive. When you call Dr. Lopours office they will accuse you of not wanting to pay your bill and do little to resolve issues. Save yourself the frustration and move on.

Very impressed! I've been a dentist enough times to count on one hand so my dental health isn't spectacular. I decided to try this office based on extensive research (including Yelp reviews!). The office is beautiful, everyone was extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions. My cleaning was fantastic, it's been 4 years since my last so I was fully-prepared to leave in pain but the hygienist was very good and kept the lecture to a minimum :) I can't see any reason Dr. LoPour's office hasn't found a long-time customer in me and this time, I'll be in more regularly.
