Annie's career began in the medical field. An opportunity in 2000 turned her focus towards dentistry. With over 22 years of experience at the front desk, she is the "go-to" person for questions about insurances, specialists care coordination, co-pays, etc. Annie began chairside dental assisting in 2004 with Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis is a dedicated general, cosmetic, and family dentist serving patients from Santa Fe, NM and surrounding communities with the superior level of dental care they deserve in partnership with the Smiles of Santa Fe team. He completed his undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Massachusetts, and Dr. Davis went on to work as a chemist in clinical toxicology.

Dr. Davis is a really nice dentist. Easy going and friendly. His Assistant was great too. Annie, the receptionist, was a different story. She was plain rude all three phone conversations. I don't know why someone like her is in the job she had. On my third phone call, I was dreading speaking to her.

Two years and counting. This is the worst crown in my entire mouth which continues to catch food as Davis and his assistant knew best. If I'm paying $2000, I get a say in design! Davis not interested in patient satisfaction but getting fee upfront. No integrity let alone competence. He is a professional service provider and as such is accountable for his negligence and incompetence.

I have had very bad experiences with dentists in the past, especially with my pretty bad TMJ disorder, but Dr. Davis and his staff have been so incredible to work with. Dr. Davis is the only dentist I have ever been to who thoroughly cleans each individual tooth one by one, I wish I could get a cleaning from him every week! After being his patient, I will be totally uncomfortable with a dental tech going through the motions of cleaning polishing and flossing for me. His staff really make you feel like family. Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Davis and his team.

Dr Davis' office is in fact friendly and the care seems competent and professional. However, I expect my dentist to know and understand my insurance benefits better than I do, and to let me know if I'm exceeding my limits. My last appointment was scheduled as a crown prep, but I was having some concerns and asked that we change the appointment to a cleaning and I could discuss my concerns with Dr Davis at the same time.
They agreed, but failed to inform me that this would be my 3rd cleaning in the same insurance year and that I could avoid any insurance issues and out of pocket expense if I just waited 2 weeks for the new insurance year to kick in. Instead, to my surprise I received a bill for the entire amount a month later! Fault lies with both parties I suppose, but as noted above I've always relied on my dentists to be on top of the insurance game. I'm now looking for a different dentist as I've lost confidence in Dr Davis' office.

Dr Davis was recommended to me by a friend and I am happy that I listened to her (and ratings on medical websites). The staff was friendly and professional and Dr Davis was kind and thorough. This is really a no judgment zone, which helped put me at ease. Dr Davis himself did the cleaning so he could get up close and personal with every tooth, giving the info verbally to the hygienist, who took notes.
I had no cavities (yay!) and was told the things I had been worried about were fine.and if I wanted to do such and such I could but it was not crucial (ie no hard sell). He is the first dentist to point out that I grind my teeth (thus my jaw aches and thinning enamel) and told me to go to Walgreens and buy a mouth guard rather than trying to sell me a custom made one.
I am going back for a repair to a front cap that I am opting to do and the receptionist is following through on the insurance. I am happy that I now have a dentist I trust and I recommend Dr Davis highly.

Dr. Davis and his whole staff are really amazing. Easily the best dentist I've been to! They are all funny, kind, caring and willing to work with you through whatever dental issues you have - and the receptionist, Annie, is really helpful and willing to work through whatever insurance issues you may have, too. The office is super clean and nice. Dr Davis does the cleanings himself - very rare to find a dentist who does that anymore. I would very much recommend this practice.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Davis. It was very easy to get an appointment, the office is very nice, and the office staff is super-friendly and efficient. Dr. Davis himself is fantastic. He is a kind man and a great communicator, really takes time to speak with you about any issues you may be having, and the general vibe in the office is just very positive.
His exam and cleaning was thorough, and they handled my insurance quickly with no problems at all. Very happy I was referred to him. It's always a little scary to go out looking for a new dentist and now I know my teeth are in great and capable hands.
