Developing relationships with families and children is the most rewarding part of practicing pediatric dentistry. I am very fortunate to have a career that incorporates my dedication to providing high quality dental care and joy working with children. I look forward to continuing our small practice feel and patient focused philosophy in my hometown for the remainder of my career.
At the first visit to our office you can expect your child to have great dental care in a fun and friendly environment! Dr. Don or Dr. Kevin will complete a thorough dental exam and cleaning, determine if any x-rays are needed, and apply a fluoride treatment. Any further treatment needs will also be discussed at this time.
Going on safari is a fun part of every visit to our office! Kids love to take a ride in the safari bus and play in the grass-covered hut. The environment in the office encourages kids to relax and have fun while getting their teeth cleaned and "counted". The caring doctors and staff love for children to look forward to their visit to the dentist!
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that all pregnant women receive oral healthcare and counseling during pregnancy. Research has shown evidence that periodontal disease can increase the risk of preterm birth and low birth weight. Talk to your doctor or dentist about ways you can prevent periodontal disease during pregnancy.

I've been very happy with the great staff at this office. Everyone in the office is friendly and provides great customer service. They all take excellent care of my 5 year old son, who has autism. Our usual dental hygienist, Rebecca, is especially wonderful in calming him by singing to him during his cleanings. Dr. Gilchrist is very warm, as well.
They accommodate my sons special needs by placing him in a separate (quiet) exam room and using a wrap to help calm him. I am able to stay with him the whole time. We've been patients for 2 years now and I highly recommend them!
