Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates is an American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Certified specialty dental office for infants, toddlers, big kids, pre teens, and teens with locations throughout the Twin Cities including St. Paul, Fridley, North Oaks, and Eagan. Our professional, gentle, and caring pediatric dentists have been providing quality dental care for children and adolescents since 1965. Beyond graduation from dental school, all of the pediatric dentists at Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates have completed an additional 2-year residency in pediatrics.

Services
Our pediatric dental practice was founded by Dr. Freeman Rosenblum in 1965. Dr. Rosenblum was joined by Dr. David Lipschultz in 1974 and Dr. Michael Cellitti in 1976. Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates was formed with the goal of providing all children with quality and compassionate dental care.
Dr. Joshua G. Lipschultz grew up in St. Paul, MN. After earning a B.S. in Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, he completed an M.A. in Dental Anthropology at Arizona State University, where he also taught classes and advised undergraduate students. Following his time out west, and a year in Chicago, Dr. Lipschultz moved back home to attend dental school where he earned a D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.While working in private practice treating children, he completed the two-year residency in and earned his Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the U of M.
Dr. Julio E. Sotillo earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry concurrently with his PhD in 2012 as a fellow in the Minnesota Craniofacial Research Training Program. He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and joined the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota as full time Clinical Assistant Professor. During Dr. Sotillo's graduate training, his research focused on skeletal biology and bone remodeling.
We strongly believe that all children should have access to dental care in an appropriate setting. Your child's dental care will not be compromised for financial reasons. We offer a variety of payment options to accommodate any budget. We accept most dental insurance plans and will work with you and your provider to maximize your benefits with our office.

Dr. Lipschultz is friendly, kind, and informative. Both he and the staff have always made my girls' dental experience a good one, which has always been very important to me since as a child I did not have that pleasure. They are great people and do a great job! Thank you so much for being a great team and providing great service.

Email sent to their office : Hello, I called this afternoon to schedule my son's dental cleaning. I asked for the latest appointment and sadly I was denied that option. I was very disappointed and caught off guard to hear that I couldn't schedule my son's appointment in the afternoon because of "his past behavior" and the "dentist finds kids do better in the morning" as well as his age.
I understand that many afternoon appointments may be taken because kids are in school and I understand that younger kids may do better in the morning but I'm shocked by your policy and felt a little singled out stating it was also based on my son's past behavior. If you are a pediatric dentist, these are behaviours you should be educated and trained to handle and also foresee.
At the very least "my son's behaviour" should have been discussed with us if it was deemed inappropriate, or we should have been advised of your policy regarding scheduling. My husband and I are both full time working parents who have no PTO available due to COVID-19 and other reasons. This was discussed during the phone call but there was no compassion and no understanding of our situation. Unfortunately we are taking the dental care of our three kids elsewhere. We are very disappointed and hope other families don't feel the way we felt today

I have been here a few times and seen Dr. Sotillo with my daughter. On our very first visit she came in with "shark teeth" that I was concerned about so he agreed to remove her baby teeth - and sang to her in spanish to calm her. Every visit has been a good experience. We also did see Dr. Lipschultz one time, and he was great as well. We've had two different dental hygienists working with my daughter primarily - both were very professional, and very good with her. One saw my daughter the first few times (wish I remembered her by name!) stuck out to me because she was knowledgeable about neurodiverse kids!

This was my daughter's first ever visit to the dentist and all I have to say is WOW! The staff was absolutely incredible. We were greeted right away by the front desk and our hygienist was amazing! She was so sweet to my daughter by showing her all the little utensils she was going to use and put on finding Nemo for my girl. I can't describe how grateful I am to have found such a great dentistry. I wish we had staff like that when I was a child.

We absolutely LOVE this dental office! Everyone we've had the pleasure of seeing have been great; from the first point of contact to the last. They're so kind and gentle with the kids. I'm really glad we were able to follow Dr. Mani here from her previous office. The hygienists and front desk ladies are just great! Dr. Mani's bedside manner is fabulous!
You feel like you're family when you come in. This location is hands down the best pediatric dentist we've ever been to. They have plenty of time to address your concerns and to explain things so you can understand. I would go here myself if they saw adults! Lol.

The staff is amazing! They are friendly, helpful, informative, and kind! They are excellent with children, helping them feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. so till I is wonderful! My kids are excited to go to the dentist because they get to see him. He is warm, kind, gentle, and my kids absolutely love them. Last thing, just today, at the end of a visit of having my four kiddos seen, I thought to myself, "wow! They run this like clockwork. The process is always smooth and efficient!". No complaints here! The opposite is true- I highly recommend MPDA!
