She is the best. I love Doctor Gregory. I have been to many dentists in the past. She is the most caring as is her staff. The offices are very clean with up to date equipment. Going to the dentist is expensive and not an appointment we look forward to. I always know she will be efficient in doing whatever procedure needs to be done. She is professional and caring.

2020 Update: routine cleaning and checkup, exemplary as always! I highly recommend Dr. Gregory for her calm professionalism, attention to detail, caring attitude, and excellent care. I have been a patient of Dr Gregory for three decades. Throughout this time her exams have been thorough and complete, her treatments effective and enduring. Her approach is kind and thoughtful yet direct, and she takes great care to minimize the pain and anxiety that goes with this territory.
From what I can observe as a layman, she keeps up with technological and methodological advances--but only where they make a difference in patients' oral health (as opposed to the flashy and superficial); her skill is every bit as good as it was 30+ years ago. Dr Gregory has my unreserved recommendation.

Dr. Gregory has been my primary dentist for more than 25 years. She is compassionate, understanding, an attentive listener, and skilled professional. She has excellent rapport with patients and their health and well-being are her primary concerns. She is the best among the best. Without hesitation or reservations I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs the care of a top-flight dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gregory for approximately 20 years. She does superior dental work in the most painless manner of the several dentists I used prior to my association with her. Her staff (clerical and dental) have been trained to provide patients with the best service possible, and they succeed without fail. She is first class in all respects.

Dr. Gregory and her staff are the best of the best. I have been a patient in this practice for many years and have always received top notch care. I might also add that Dr. Gregory is painless and her work is flawless. Dr. Gregory is a dedicated and knowledgeable professional which can be hard to come by these days!

Dr. Mary Gregory is kind, compassionate, gentle AND a superb dentist. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Her office staff is excellent also. I feel very fortunate to have discovered them. I especially appreciate her direct, no nonsence approach to answering my questions and her willingness to say "I don't know" but we will figure it out. She commands my highest confidence.

I first went to Mary Gregory approximately 20 years ago when the dentist I routinely saw would not (could not?) do a needed root canal. What a blessing. I should have sent him a thank-you note. Not only did Mary immediately take care of my problem, her caring personality and warm manner won me over. Love her staff and make sure to schedule appointments on the days that Tammy is working. I consistently recommend Mary to those asking about a good dentist in Arlington as I cannot imagine why anyone would go elsewhere.

I strongly recommend Dr. Gregory. She is a very gentle and caring dentist. Her office staff are friendly and efficient, and I've never had trouble getting an appointment at a convenient time. I recently broke a few teeth (among other injuries) in a biking accident, and my wife called Dr. Gregory's emergency number on her day off. I was really impressed when Dr. Gregory came to the ER to evaluate my injuries on her free time. It showed how much she cares about her patients.

I've been to Dr. Gregory over the last decade for emergency visits, but last week was the first time I came as a regular patient. Dr. Gregory and the office staff could not be friendlier or more welcoming. I really felt their concern over my teeth and feel I am in the best hands. Looking forward to more visits to my new dental home. My husband and sister-in-law have been going to her ever since she took over the practice from Dr. Hagerty many moons ago and they cannot say enough good things about her.

Dentist Mary Gregory is a wonderful practitioner! She is compassionate and sympathetic with those patients who tend to be "dental phobics". She takes the fear out of necessary dental procedures! She explains each procedure while doing a thorough job. Dr. Gregory checks your teeth, gums and mouth after the hygienist work is completed to make sure your mouth looks healthy and clean!
I recommend her highly and without reserve. Sioban, her office manager, is excellent too. She makes the billing and appointments a breeze. she always makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter the office! Pat C

Dr. Gregory and her staff are great! They give the most up-to-date dental services and are reasonably priced. Teeth cleanings are extremely thorough, with very helpful advice about dental health. I look forward to my visits because everyone is so friendly. It's an added bonus that Dr. Gregory goes out of the U.S. for one week a year to do volunteer dental work where the population cannot afford it.

Dr. Gregory and her staff are a highly competent, professional and caring group. I started going to Dr. Gregory for dental services because a colleague recommended her and her office was convenient to mine. Even though I have since changed jobs, the drive to Arlington is worth the trip. I know that Dr. Gregory and her staff will provide thorough and attentive care in a friendly environment. My confidence in them has kept me coming back for almost twenty years.

I have been going to Dr. Mary Gregory for over 25 years. She is an excellent dentist and compassionate with her patients. I referred two patients to her - both terrified of dentists. Both were very pleased with the care they received. Simply, hands down the best dentist in Northern Virginia. Another plus - she keeps up with current dental technologies to better serve her patients. Love, love, love Dr. Gregory and her staff!

Dr. Gregory is awesome! Having had several dentists during our lifetime, she ranks among the best! She is kind, gentle and caring! She understands the anxiety her patients may feel from other earlier experiences during dental work! She makes her patients feel confident that they are getting the best care. We also thank Sioban, her receptionist, for making us feel welcome! We recommend Dr. Gregory with total confidence! Patricia and Clifford Chieffo

What a ruse. My family went to Dr Gregory for about 4 years, after our old dentist moved locations and was farther away. Issues encountered were as follows: crowns recommended when fillings would have been more appropriate (now unnecessary crowns causing problems), fillings demanded when there were no cavities (she said I had 4 and had me scheduled for fillings but I backed out. second opinion showed me x-rays of no such cavities, all healthy teeth, that was 4 years ago now and teeth still fine), regular cleanings that left us sore after each and every visit and so sore that it hurt to chew for weeks.
The patronizing "tut tut, ohh you need to stop eating candy" ridiculousness and attempt to have us believe we were neglecting our health, on top of what we knew were utterly imaginary cavities was quite enough for us. Never bothered to write a yelp before but was recently warning a friend which caused me to look her practice up. Very surprising to see good reports, since the dentist I've since moved to has absorbed many ex patients of hers. If you had a good experience, good for you. My family and I did not, though we stuck around for a while wanting to believe the sweet facade.

Mary Gregory has been my dentist since I moved to Arlington 9 years ago. She and her staff are consistently friendly, caring, gentle, and very capable. I credit them with the fact that at 82 I still have my own teeth and healthy gums. I visit twice a year and it is always a good experience. I especially appreciate the tips they regularly give on my home dental routine--all of which have been helpful. So glad my daughter recommended Dr. Gregory, who has been her family's dentist for many years.

I changed providers only because my last one was in DC and I could no longer take the time to travel in to see him. I have to say, he is top notch and the next dentist has a tough act to follow. I went to see Dr. Gregory based on my children's dentist's recommendation. My previous dentist emailed all my files in prior to my first appointment.
When I arrived, they did not have my files. I also filled out the paper work online in advance, which did not appear to have be completed on their end. (Later, I called my old dentist and they sent me a copy of the email with my files that they had sent to Dr. Gregory's office in advance. I was not happy that Dr. Gregory's office overlooked this email.) The first cleaning went well and a cavity was found.
She said it was a crack in an old filling. I scheduled a follow up to fill the cavity. Billing was painless. They gave me an estimate for my filling. When I returned for my filling, it was relatively quick. Dr. Gregory talks through everything that she does, which I like. After the filling, I paid my portion and was done. I returned for my 6-month cleaning.
This time, I did not have a good experience. The hygenist was quite "thorough" and my teeth ached afterward. Then the left side of my tongue hurt whenever I swallowed or ate or when it scraped the side of my teeth, which gave me such a headache. It took a week for the pain to go away. During this check-up, Dr. Gregory discovered another cavity. This time, I became very skeptical.
For the past 15 years, I have only had 3 new cavities and 1 filling replaced. So you can imagine my surprise at 2 cavities within 6 months. I'm also very thorough in cleaning my teeth -- brushing three times a day and flossing twice a day. I relayed my skepticism to Dr. Gregory. She told me that it was a cavity in the "groove" of my tooth and it was unlikely that I could have prevented it.
She asked the hygenist to show me a photo of the cavity. OK, looked possible to me, but I'm not a dentist. When I went to schedule my filling, the receptionist gave me an estimate for the work. The following week, I had the filling done. It was quick and Dr. Gregory talked me through it. After the filling, I paid my portion. The receptionist told me that it was also an estimate until she submitted the claim to insurance. Dr. Gregory did call me up later that day to ask how I was doing.
I told her that my cheek was still very sore after the anesthesia wore off. She said it was normal and would be sore for a few more hours. It was quite sore for two days and I had to take ibuprofen to manage the pain. A couple of weeks after the filling, my insurance sent me details of the services. The estimate was lower than what I had paid. About a week later, I received a check from Dr. Gregory for the over payment.
I think she's an adequate dentist, but certainly not equal to my previous one in DC. I think she's a B, definitely not an A. Because of the inaccuracy of my above payment, the hygenist being too rough on my teeth and the suddenly odd occurrences of cavities given my history, I will be going to another dentist for my next appointment.

Dr. Gregory is the best dentist I've ever seen. Yesterday I had to get my first crown and first cavity filled. I was ridiculously scared but Dr. Gregory and her assistant were unbelievably patient, calming & skilled. I've had shots in my mouth before never had shots that really and truly didn't hurt at all before. Dr. Gregory helped me breathe in a way which helped me get through it - She explained everything with just the right amount of detail.
She is honest and smart and really really gentle. She also called me today to see how I was doing. In her office, she gives you all the time you need and encourages you to take as much time as you need to ask questions, call or anything else that will help you get through whatever it is you're dealing with. I'm 50 and have never had a cavity. I've always been so scared about what it would be like but now that I have Dr. Gregory as my dentist I really don't have to be afraid anymore. I can't say enough good things about her as well as her staff. If you're looking for a dentist, I can't imagine anyone any better.

I think Dr. Gregory and all the staff are just terrific. Dr. Gregory is a truly painless dentist! She is very kind and I am always fully satisfied with both her great work and the experience. I have had a number of crowns mostly. I would recommend her to anyone, and I wouldn't go to another dentist!

Dr Gregory has been our family dentist since forever. She is highly skilled and other professionals we go to (oral surgeons, endodontists) all have the highest praise for her work. But most of all she is such a caring person! and she attracts hygienists and admin staff who follow her lead. She recommends treatments or dental work but is patient if you put it off, never saying "I told you so." I tell people that I love my dentist and never hesitate to recommend her.
Our son went to another dentist who was on his dental plan and I told him that he'd go back to Dr. Gregory. There are other dentists who are as good, but she is the whole package. My son did go back to her again, and his comment was, "I see what you mean, Mom."
