If I could give -10 stars I would. My child was supposed to get her first procedure done today after waiting 2 months in pain. Doctor never told me my child would have to be alone getting 5 teeth pulled. I asked the woman at the front desk if I can go back, she said yes I can wait in the hallway where my child was still visible. As soon as I got back there the doctor/owner of the practice immediately got in my face and stopped doing what they were doing, which only had me assume they were doing something super sneaky or something very unsafe to my child.
She said it's her practice and she's trying to "be nice" basically saying she's refraining from being an A**hole. Documents were signed to get the procedure done and they left my kid in excruciating pain all because they didn't want me to see what they were doing. Very very unsafe, unsanitary, racist, disrespectful owner and staff. Shut them down! Look at all the horrible reviews online, the owner really told a 4 year old they'd call the police on them if they moved in the chair. Disgusting.

Everytime i call for an appt it is far out book regardless of the situation, they don't try to accommodate with your schedule what so ever. When a situation happens where the child is in pain there should be same day appts for this situation, but they rather leave your child in pain for days. if i could give one star i would!

Incredible staff! My 18m old son chipped his front tooth and I was nearly in tears over it. They were able to file it down quickly and beautifully to where it's hardly noticeable. I know they're only baby teeth but I love his toothy smile and because of them I'll be able to enjoy it until they fall out.or at least until he falls and chips another lol. Thank you Kid Care!

I was 6 when I went to this clinic. The dentist, specifically Dr. Kaplan, knew fully well that I would need a root canal later in life if this wasn't treated, yet insisted on putting an overly expensive crown on me instead and lied to my parents. And on top of that the dentist verbally abused me whenever I cried, which gave me profound trauma I'm still suffering with. I'm currently 20, and I'm paying for expensive procedures all because of something the dentist decided not to do back when I was a kid.
And I'm currently in long-term therapy for the trauma Dr. Kaplan gave me. Do not bring your kid here, period. I wish that I could write zero stars, and I wish that I had never come here.

I brought my four year old here and he was a little nervous at first. Even with all the covid precautions he had an excellent experience. They were absolutely amazing with him. All the staff were kind and made us both feel super comfortable. He left there with a sparkling smile and so many goodies. They even blew up a balloon and twisted it into a sword for him. He can't wait to go back. What a lovely practice.

We love this office, it's the first dentist we've been to (we've been to 2 others) that my daughter actually feels comfortable and doesn't need to sit right on top of me. However, when I went in for the 4th time, I was not allowed in the back room with her, which made me incredibly uncomfortable. I think a parent has every right to accompany their child, a minor under 16 years of age (she's 5!) into an exam room. A child can not submit to an informed consent and I like knowing that my wishes regarding different procedures are being respected.

The dentist saw my daughter for a consultation, and planned to see her again in 1 and in 4 months to treat her cavities. We booked the appointments for today and another in April. Today I was told that no appointments were scheduled. When the dentist remembered that she did in fact make me an appointment slip for today she did not even apologize. she just said she forgot.
I was asked what time I would be available, I said I could go at 12, but they insisted on 11:30, I tried to arrive by 11:30. I hadn't arrived by 11:40 they canceled and said I'd have to wait a month for a rescheduling. The dentist didn't make an effort to accommodate me sooner to make up for the fact that she forgot to put me on her schedule to begin with. I am going to find a better office, with more responsible and caring staff.

Great customer service! Everyone that works here are very caring and professional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that we had to wait longer then usual, but we were late due to construction on route 95 and I'm sure they had other appointments they needed to take first. My son has ASD and basically screams everytime we have to go, but they are all super sweet and still manage to clean my son's teeth with care and lots of patience! We travel about an hour to get there too because they are so great at what they do. It's obvious that they care and it shows!

Dr. Kaplan showed me other children's dental records on the computer screen when explaining what my son had. I could see these children's home addresses and see their dental xrays. Very unprofessional. He insisted my young son needed a silver cap on a baby tooth which required fasting at midnight and drinking a sedative. Then I made the mistake of allowing him and an assistant take my 5 year old to the room for the procedure without me being present in the room, a regret I will always have as I trusted someone I barely knew with my sedated child. We never went back.

Do not attend this practice. As a former child patient, I am traumatized by their treatment. Several baby teeth of mine were extracted without explanation to my parents at the time. When I underwent orthodontics as a young adult, my doctors were amazed that I had so much unnecessary work done. Beyond that, Dr. Kaplan practiced an unprofessional level of misogyny that even a child could recognize, showing me the amount of leg hair he grew in comparison of his female technicians.and his own son's skateboarding photos.
This practice has left me terrified of dentists into my adulthood. No amount of "Waiting Room, " video games is worth it. he had Mario Tennis on N64 when I was there, just saying.

Just brought my 18-month old daughter for her first dentist appointment and was mortified. I'm surprised this is a "kid friendly" dentist, the staff was very frigid and unwelcoming. Although they were speedy, almost too speedy, they failed to provide better customer service. I advised the assistant that my daughter is extremely scared of loud noises, as we walked to our area, I noticed there were several unoccupied rooms, yet they still sat us right next to another kid having work done.
She was immediately in fear, which should not be the case for your first dentist visit. Immediately the dentist came in and told us to basically strap her down, as though she was some animal. Not even for a vaccine have I ever had to hold my daughter down with 3 other people while she was kicking and screaming in fear. Not a pleasant experience at all.
The doctor didn't seem to care to answer or listen to my questions as she quickly made the decision that I needed to stop breastfeeding because as she stated, in her opinion, "there's no value after 1 year old". Had she shown a bit more empathy, she'd understand that sometimes breastfeeding is a comfort thing just as is a pacifier or a bottle or a thumb. It's an emotional connection between mother and daughter that she felt quick to judge and tear apart. Bottom line, not going back, nor bringing my daughter to succumb to that kind of trauma again.

I reached out on Monday for a lip-tie consultation for my 19m old daughter - I was able to secure an appt the next day as a result of a cancellation! The office is friendly and clean - even a private room off the waiting area for consultation and prep prior to the procedure. I was in + out of there in an hour, including waiting time, consultation and procedure. Dr. Kaplan reviewed my daughter's history extensively, explained everything which led to both lip tie + tongue tie corrections, answered all my questions and even provided his personal # should I have any questions or concerns following the procedure.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is unprofessional, office staff is rude, and management isn't any better. I booked a last minute appointment for my daughter 3 days prior at noon. During booking I specifically asked for a last minute cancellation because her grandmother was on vacation and would be able to bring my 1 year old. Medical forms were sent via email and I promptly filled them out and replied.
My mother called apprehensive at first because staff was impolite did not greet her, and as others walked in they were graciously greeted. Next they stated they didn't receive the medical records, so I called to resend via email. As soon as I hung up, my mother calls and says that office staff refused to see my 1 year old (after first verbally confirming it was okay because she was only there for a cleaning) because she needed a "permission slip" signed by me!
No one said anything when I was on the phone resubmitting the medical records. She was frustrated and so was I! I called to speak with office management in a professional manner and was told she would look into it but she didn't bother to attempt to even reschedule. Moving forward I wold never recommend them and I certainly would not force them to take my daughter on as a patient given their refusal for a bogus reason!

If I could give KidCare Dental no stars, I would. Dr. Htet is completely incompetent and her inactions directly led to my 7 year old son needing a root canal. She bonded my son's broken tooth and the bond only held for 5 short months. She also bonded our neighbor's son's tooth 2 months prior to my son's and his bonded tooth fell out only 7 months later.
Long story short, she left the pulp of my son's tooth exposed for over a month. When she finally tried to re-bond it, she poked the nerve of my son's tooth which resulted in him becoming upset at 5:20 said that we would need to reschedule because the office closes at 5. A week later, we received a call from Dr. Kaplan who stated that he would have never tried to bond the tooth and that my son needs a root canal.
Between the call from Dr. Kaplan and my son's appointment with the endodontist, the tooth abscessed. This past week, my son had a surgical root canal under full sedation during which we found out that the abscess led to bone loss and now my son needs a bone graft. All of this was completely avoidable however due to Dr. Htet's incompetence, delay in returning my phone calls, and utter disregard for my son's well-being, my son now needs another surgical procedure.

We were referred to Dr. Kaplan for my daughter's lip tie. From the moment we walked in I was impressed. Tona of toys and video games to keep the kids entertained. My 16 month old loved the play area. The doctor was very knowledgeable. They had high tech equipment and everyone was very professional. Dr. Kaplan explained everything to us and tool as much time as we needed during our consultation.
Once the lip tie was diagnosed, we went out to do payment because Dr. Kaplan was going to do the procedure for us same day, which waa great because we were coming from an hour away. We had issues using our Carecredit and the staff was very patient while we had to call and reopen the CareCredit account on the spot. After payment was all set, the document came to take our daughter back to start the procedure.
She refused to let go of her blankie and Dr. Kaplan allowed her to bring it back with her. The procedure was about 10 minutes long amd my daughter had some tears but was fine. The office even called us 4 hours later to check in on our daughter. Thank you Dr. Kaplan and staff for everything.

Great dental office for kids with Legos, video games, and toys in the waiting area. They also have lots of books in the patient rooms for kids to read. They saw us on time, so no extra waiting around long after the scheduled appointment like in some offices. Dr. Htet is awesome! Her demeanor is kind and genuine, and she takes time to get to know your child and warm them up on the first visit. Great bedside manner with parent and kid alike. It was a fun and efficient visit. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend Dr Kaplan enough for all that he did for my son. I can now see why my pediatrician only recommends him for the tongue tie procedure. He called numerous times in the days after the procedure to check in on my son. Also, Debbie, one of the billers was very helpful in doing all that she could to have the procedure covered by my insurance. Thank you!

Dr. Kaplan is that rare breed of human that goes full tilt 100% of the time and seems to thrive in high paced situations. He is extremely knowledgeable and will talk you through his thought process in real time, which is great for a person like me who would rather absorb information as it comes. He will admit a patient and diagnose an issue using a fairly robust set of diagnostic technologies.
Within minutes you are discussing the findings and remediation as well as contingencies should there be any. He is thorough and thoughtful and mindful of the child's comfort, but also firm in his belief that the long term is far more important than the short. He speaks with you, not at you as so many medical professionals tend to do. He will answer your questions but he won't sugar coat (pun not completely intended) the truth if it seems like you don't like the answers he gives.
Our first visit with Dr. Kaplan was recommended by a lactation specialist at South Shore Hospital. Our newborn daughter was not latching while breastfeeding and we were scared that she was not eating enough. Dr. Kaplan saw her and diagnosed her with a tongue tie and lip tie after the lactation nurse at Brigham Women's missed it. He recommended a 5 minute laser procedure.
This is our first and only child and we were terrified. She was only 9 days old. We researched it heavily and decided that it was the best course of action. She got the procedure and came out no worse for the wear in about 10 minutes. She immediately latched and began feeding. Elation doesn't even begin to express what my wife felt. She sobbed with joy. Our daughter had to have another visit with him recently and he was equally thorough and thoughtful with the diagnosis. I think we found our baby's life long dentist.

Terrible experience. I arrived about 5 minutes early. After requiring me to fill out lengthy, redundant and intrusive paperwork, they said they were not going to clean both boys teeth. They had scheduled each boy for only 20 minutes and they said they had run out of time and could only clean the teeth of one of my two boys. It was $340 to look at two toddler's teeth and spend about 3-4 minutes cleaning one of their teeth. To charge more than pediatric dentists in downtown Boston and on top of it waste my time and make me come back is not acceptable in my book.

Rare to find this degree of expertise in the dental community, in my opinion. Great care and treatment, especially with tough kids and complicated issues. The thought of being a children's dentist gives me the chills, but it looks like it's Dr Kaplan's passion. It's been a while since I've been, but I saw him on the news a while back discussing special treatment to improve the nursing experience for children with tongue ties, and it seems like he is continuing to do interesting things for kids and their families.
