Dental Associates, founded by Dr. Sumner Hirshberg in 1947, is the oldest group practice not only in Quincy but all of Massachusetts. Dr. Hirshberg set out to provide the practice's patients with quality, state-of-the-art dental services. We continue to follow his vision. Currently, we are owned and operated by Dr. Lewis Hootnick.
The most important appointment is your routine preventive care appointment. During this visit, we will remove any tartar and plaque buildup, professionally clean all tooth surfaces, and do a full oral exam. Some exams will include digital x-rays to monitor conditions that are not visible to the eye.
Your first visit with Dental Associates will include a consultation, diagnosis, and discussion of your treatment options. In some cases, we can perform your first treatment on the day of consultation. I have been going to Dental Associates since 2006. Everyone is very nice, knowledgeable and always provide excellent service. Mitra is very knowledgeable about Insurance coverage. She will go over the bill and explain the cost. Dr. Hootnick & Dr. Le are very professional and thorough during exams. The new place is very clean and modern. Highly recommend Dental Associates

I have been going to Dental Associates for almost 10 yrs now. My husband a lot longer! I love the staff from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Hootnick! They are all wonderful! Now. with the new office! Bright an open! Beautiful place! I now live in NH!. I drive an hour an a half to see them! I will still continue to go to Dr. Hootnick and his team!

I was referred by my dad who is a patient and has nothing but great things to say about this practice, hygienists, and dentists! I had my first appointment for a cleaning with Italia and was very impressed with the cleanliness and safety measures put in place! Italia was incredibly welcoming and professional! She did an amazing job and was very gentle and let me know each thing she was doing as well as gave me some great tips for dental care! I highly recommend and cannot wait for my next visit! :

Everyone who works here is very kind from the receptionists, to the hygienists, to the dentists. I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years due to Covid and was self conscious about having my teeth cleaned and they made me so comfortable. They do a great job and the facility is extremely clean. I highly recommend this practice.

New, clean and modern facility. Covid safety everywhere. Pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient hygienist. She explained everything that she was doing and why. She was gentle and kind. I highly recommend Dental Associates to everyone. Particularly if you have a fear of going to the dentist. They make you feel safe!
