Maple Park Dental Care: Romanelli Julie M

I received a nightguard in May of 2021. Within months it started developing multiple hairline cracks, not something you want in your mouth at night should sharp plastic pieces come off while asleep. I notified Dr. Romanelli's team prior to my regularly scheduled cleaning about the issue and was told to bring it in for my appointment. I had to delay my November appointment a couple of weeks due to a cold and not wanting to potentially expose anyone to anything (shame on me for doing the right thing, apparently) and took it to my delayed cleaning in December.

I was assured it would be covered by the manufacturer, Glidewell, and it was shipped off to them and a new one made. I returned to pick up my nightguard and was charged for the new nightguard, without a return of the old one. In effect, I have paid twice for one nightguard and Dr. Romanelli's team has not helped in getting me 1) reimbursed for the original nightguard or 2) returned my stolen nightguard from Glidewell.

My biggest frustration is the lack of responsiveness from the team: details of the calls are below: I left a voicemail on 1.27 - no response. I called again on 1.31 - spoke with Erin who said she will call Glidewell and will give me a call back - no response. I called again on 2.9 - spoke with Lauren, who said she needs to speak with Tracey (office manager) and will call me back on the 10th, yet again - no response.

I called twice and left voicemail on 2.15 - no response. Approaching three full weeks with no resolution. Why do you work with such a company as Glidewell? Why are you charging me twice for one nightguard? I suspect that they are now avoiding me given the repeated radio silence. I hope this gets their attention.

I called to try to schedule an appt for my kids and the girl she answered me looked like she has no idea what she's doing. Mixed up dates and kept changing the time and asking me the same questions. I didn't try the dr mine be good but first impression wasn't good as she couldn't schedule an appt.

I have no wonder why so many people gave 5 * to Dr. Romanelli. There are lots of dentists who can do a good job with normal cleaning and other superficial dental services. But when it comes to crowns and crowns on implants she is one of the best. I had lots of problems with my crowns before seeing her for years. Other dentists I was seeing before her were only focused on how much they can make out of my dental problems.

This is not the case with Dr. Romanelli. I observed she is dedicated to her profession, so meticulous from getting all the required info from implant surgeon, quality of products and makes sure you are comfortable with the crowns in your mouth even if it is multiple sittings. Hence I give her 5 stars. BTW, I am writing this review after more than a year of my treatment. I waited to see how my new crowns and implants work.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I called with a dental emergency and they got me in same day. Dr Romanelli and her staff went above and beyond for me from getting me in, to explaining everything they were doing, to helping calm me through my total breakdown over my issue. Dr Romanelli and her staff were kind, honest and thorough. The wonderful person assisting Dr Romanelli even held my hand through the injections that Dr Romanelli took at my pace.

I've never had any dentist office treat me with such compassion. I left educated, calm and confident that I'm on the road to recovery. I am forever grateful for Dr Romanelli's knowledge but also for how she took care of me physically (with my teeth) and also emotionally through my tears and fear. I will be a patient for life!

I after 47 years have found the perfect dentist. The facility is very clean with a warm atmosphere. The staff is not only friendly but truly greet you personally. They do great work and somehow make me comfortable at a dentist office. I never thought that possible. Keep up the great work!

Maple Park dental hygienists are always careful, thorough, and explanatory, and Dr. Romanelli always gives an excellent follow-up on a regular cleaning. All the dental work I've had done by her over many years has been top-notch and very professional. You have nothing to fear, everything dental to gain, coming to this dental clinic. Very highly recommended.

I really don't like going to the dentist. Maple park dental makes it alot easier to show up. They have a very clean and friendly place. Cleaning are difficult for me because I have a vertigo issue. Melisa, has been so attentive to my issue. During my most recent visit, Melisa had to stand while cleaning my teeth on a bad leg to help me with my vertigo issue.

I can't thank you Melisa enough for your attention to detail while cleaning and really being attentive to your patients needs. Thanks for a clean smile Melisa. Thanks also for the tooth bag of goodies.

I just love this dental office. They make me feel like a family member verses a patient. I'm glad I found Dr. Romanelli. Tracey, Mackenzie, Dr. Nucum, Janis, Melissa, Char, Crystal, Lyla you all are awesome and I appreciate all you do.

Dawn, the woman in the front, she is GREAT! I work with this office pretty frequently and our communication is manly via phone. She is ALWAYS SO NICE! The office manager is a peach! Great to work with and always is such a great mood. the jive of the office is amazing. Good vibes from the staff.

Dr Nucum is very considerate, his work is high quality. Dr Nucum take the time that is needed to make sure any of the work he does with your teeth is the best for you. He also keeps checking to make sure you are comfortable I rate this place with top stars.

Patient, caring people that care about you and love what they do. Would definitely recommend them for your dental needs as I couldn't be happier with my switch to them. They handle my anxiety like pros and make me feel ok in their hands and that everything will be done right.

The whole staff was super friendly and helpful. The hygienist explained everything she was doing and made me feel relaxed. Dr. Romanelli & the whole staff are extremely professional.

Friendly, professional staff. During my latest visit (Nov. 2019) I had a new hygienist assigned to me who was a bit sloppy in their cleaning technique. The hygienist didn't seem to know how to use the suction device very well. At one point during the cleaning, the teeth cleaning solution came out of the side of my mouth, down my neck, and onto my sweater.

After this, the hygienist took the suction device completely out of my mouth and proceeded to clean. As the cleaning went on, the hygienist didn't seem to recognize the fact that my mouth was filling up with water/cleaning solution to the point where I nearly choked on my own backwash. It was only until I started coughing that the hygienist put the suction device back in my mouth. Otherwise, I usually have a great experience at Maple Park Dental Care.

Dr. Romanelli is the best dentist I have ever had. And her staff is wonderful. The office environment is friendly and relaxed. So all in all it is not a scary thing to go to Maple Park Dental Care and you know you are in good hands. I love it there. Joyce Blanchard

The staff is friendly and attentive. The dental hygienist tells me what is always going on and concerned about my comfort during the cleaning.

I have been going there for around 23 yrs, Dawn the receptionist is awesome she is the meaning of hospitality, it's like going to a friend's house you are so comfortable and at ease, she left for awhile just didn't seem the same. Dr. Romanelli is great, you any kind of issues she helps you all the time. Great personality really puts you at ease. Office is really clean, state of art equipment. Current with all procedures. Have a great hi genast group of people. Need a dentist check them out.

First time visit today for both my son and me - it was great overall. Both dental hygienists were careful, patient and did a great job of explaining what they were doing - plus being gentle! They were also great with my son, who is 7, and can be quite talkative. Looking forward to continuing to come to this office for dental care.
