Dr. Andy Frost's roots in the orthodontist business are as deep as the ones in your second bicuspid. Seriously now, Dr. Frost's career as an orthodontist began even before he started perfecting smiles at his own practice. Dr. Frost's father, the late Dr. W. Dale Frost, was an orthodontist and passed his love of orthodontics on to his son.
Regular dental check-ups and orthodontic treatment are proven to be effective tools in helping establish and maintain good oral health for people of all ages. Braces can be beneficial to both children and adults. Orthodontics is the area of dentistry that corrects teeth and jaws that are positioned improperly.
Patients wearing braces need to be ever vigilant when it comes to keeping their braces, teeth and gums clean. By following Dr. Frost's instructions on oral hygiene and avoiding certain foods, you can maintain healthy teeth and a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime. Dr. Frost recommends brushing at least three times a day as well as regular follow-up care with your general dentist.
There are very few true orthodontic emergencies. Most problems can be remedied at home. However, if you have a situation that you cannot resolve on your own, call us as soon as possible to schedule an emergency appointment. If your teeth are sore after a visit you may take ibuprofen, acetaminophen or other non-aspirin pain relievers while you adjust to your new braces.
