In addition, we offer CO2 laser lip and tongue-tie release for infants, children, and adults. Prosthodontics focuses on dental prostheses. A prosthodontist is an expert in diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative procedures. They treat a variety of oral issues, and provide specialized dental treatment plans for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. A prosthodontist is a dentist with additional education in the restoration and replacement of missing teeth.
A comprehensive dental exam may include dental X-rays to further understand your oral health. X-rays detect tooth decay, oral cysts, bone loss, tooth, and root positions. After reviewing our findings, we'll recommend dental treatments that benefit your needs. We will also discuss relevant medical history and current medications.
Dental cleaning | Teeth cleaning is performed as a preventative measure against tooth decay and gingivitis. The dental cleaning procedure focuses on the removal of tartar and plaque from the tooth and gum line. Patients that avoid routine dental cleanings risk suffering from tooth decay, gingivitis, periodontal disease, and tooth loss.

The Lexington Smile Studio is amazing! The staff, the environment, and the dedication is everything! My daughter had a tongue tie that was dismissed for months. I knew that there was something wrong with my daughter's ability to eat/drink a bottle. No pediatrician listened. But Dr. McElligott did. And not only did she listen to my concerns and answered all my questions, she understood my frustration.
The procedure went perfect and my daughter's latch changed instantly. We still have a long road to relearn how to latch but Lexington Smile Studio improved my daughter's life. I can't thank them enough!

We were very apprehensive about taking our daughter in for a lip and tongue tie consultation. However, as soon as we met with Dr. McElligott we felt a sense of relief. She was friendly, informative, and clearly cared about the best interest of our daughter. We did the procedure and knew our daughter was in great hands. The results have been great thus far! We had an excellent experience with Dr. McElligott at Lexington Smile Studio for my newborn son's lip and tongue tie release! During the consultation they took the time to listen to our experience and made sure we thoroughly understood the procedure and follow up care. The procedure was super quick and it was obvious he was in good hands. They also were great about following up to make sure any questions were answered.
And best of all, the procedure has helped tremendously with breastfeeding! If you're struggling with feeding issues and your baby has a tie, I highly recommend going to Lexington Smile and getting the procedure done. You won't regret it!

We had such a fabulous experience with Dr. Lindsey! Our almost one year old had severe tongue and lip tie that needed correction. She was so kind throughout the whole process, very informative, and helped us feel comforted during the time of worry. I highly recommend her in this practice, especially for little ones!

Such friendly and welcoming staff! We heard great things about this place so figured it was worth the 40 min drive for our newborn to help get his tongue tie and they did not disappoint! Very helpful and comforting staff who took great care of our little one. Would definitely recommend to anybody and everybody!

This practice was wonderful. We took our daughter here to get her lip and tongue tie released, which has been game changing in terms of her ability to feed. The team is amazing. The care felt personalized, and we felt supported. Dr. McElligott was the best - she took the time to educate us and assure us that our daughter would be ok. She checked in on us after and always made herself available for questions etc.
The staff was also wonderful, answering any questions we had. Felt like a place that really cared about their patients and families. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat!
