Your first visit to Bonnie Helfner, DDS, PC establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more.
We make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. We accept most major credit cards. Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 631-858-9800.
We offer our patients a variety of concierge options to add additional comfort to their dental appointments. Intraoral cameras which utilize technology that helps you understand your diagnosis better as well as allowing us to save your images for future reference. Emergency care is available after hours for patients of record.

Dr. Helfner's office is the best! I am a college student and was coming home for a break when I started having a toothache. I only had one day to take care of the problem, because my family was going away on a trip. The office staff was amazing! They were able to fit me in and give me a last minute appointment on the day I came home from college. I saw Dr. Bihary in the office for the first time.
She was really great! She was very thorough and took care of my tooth before I went out of town. Thank you so much to the office staff at Dr. Helfner's office! I really feel like they cared and took the time to make sure I was seen before I went away with my family.

The doctors and staff are always amazing at Dr. Bonnie Helfner's Office! We had an experience recently where my daughter was coming home from college. We had one day and then our family was taking a trip for a week. My daughter was experiencing some issues with one of her teeth, and we had limited time to see someone before going out of town. Dr. Helfner's staff was amazing, very sympathetic to our situation, and extremely accommodating under the circumstances!
On the day my daughter drove home from college, Dr. Helfner's staff was able to schedule her right in to be seen during one of their later appointments of the day. My daughter saw Dr. Bihary who was new to her, and she absolutely loved this dentist! It was a very positive experience! Dr. Bihary was able to take care of the issue with my daughters tooth very quickly!
It was such a relief to be able to get my daughter in to the dentist before our trip! I greatly credit and appreciate Dr. Helfner's staff for doing this! Always a great experience at Dr. Helfner's Office!

Always have a great experience at this office! The dentists and hygienists, as well as the entire staff work so hard to make everyone feel comfortable. This means a lot coming from me since I used to be afraid of the dentist, but not since I've been coming here. I've recommended many friends here who have also been so happy. I'll never go anywhere else!

I suppose I'm a little bias since I am one of the hygienists here. However. I can't say enough about this place. I have worked in a lot of different offices and this by far is the most up to date, cleanest, well run offices I have ever worked in. Everyone strives to make the patients feel as comfortable as possible. It is so amazing working with people I love and have come to think of as family. Helen and Lindsey and I are amazing Hygienists. And all of the Doctors are top notch. Dr. Curro recently did a crown for me. My first one. I was so nervous, but it is perfect. I can't even tell I have one.

Amazing experience! From the moment I stepped through the door the staff gave me a warm welcome and put me at ease. All the doctors are the utmost professional. They explain everything so you always know what to expect. The hygienists are great. Very knowledgeable. The coordination and organization of this office is top notch.

This dentist office has always been top-notch! I've been a client of Dr. HELFNER for more than 20 years. ALL the dentists on the hygienists are all the best. Of course just like everyone, I have my favorites however, when the appointment I need doesn't coincide with my favorite, my experience has always still been nothing less than wonderful.

I always have a great dental experience. From when I walk in and greeted by my name until I leave. Everyone is so friendly, gentle and attentive every visit. Dr Helfner has now two more wonderful associates, Dr Philip and Dr Bihary who have made me just as comfortable as Dr Helfner and Dr Curro have. LOVE the dentist and all the hygienist, Sarah, Helen and Lindsey! Would recommend!

Dr. Bonnie Helfner's office has made me feel safe, comfortable, and cared for time and time again. The front desk staff are very welcoming and always are excited to see you and eager to make sure you are taken care of. The hygienists are gentle and friendly and provide you with information on how to improve your dental hygiene. The dentists and dental assistants are very patient-centered and will tell you everything that is going to happen before it happens.
This ensures a stress free cleaning or procedure. The office partakes in many charity events and organizations within the Commack community. The office is clean and has up to date equipment with staff ready to welcome you with open arms.
