Short version: Would give ZERO stars if I could; she puts money over her customers and lacks experience in orthodontic work. DO NOT GET BRACES FROM DR. KIM. She took advantage of me by telling me crowding was a minor issue and relatively "easy" to fix. It turns out she was new to braces in general and did not even bother to tell us this. Each visit took around two or more hours because the brackets kept coming off when they tried to reposition it.
When eating, they continually came off, even when I was not eating anything hard. Dr. Kim clearly lacked experience and wanted to make extra money off of me. Unfortunately, as I have never had braces before, and had been a long term customer with Dr. Kim, I trusted that she was doing things right when she really was not. A year after wearing her braces, when she said I was just about ready to get them removed, I went to get them evaluated at an orthodontist office that's popular in my neighborhood.
It turns out that NOTHING had changed since they initially came on, to my EXTREME disappointment. All those long hours spent in her office were for nothing. You can bet that I cried at the orthodontist office when I heard that. To make matters much worse, when Dr. Kim tried removing my braces, it was extremely painful. She clearly hadn't attached the brackets on properly, and was having the hardest time removing them.
This is pretty ironic to me, considering that the brackets kept coming off when she first tried putting them on. There was a point when I thought she was actually going to pull out my teeth. Not to mention, when I went to the professional orthodontist to get my new braces on, they had to remove extra cement from my teeth that Dr. Kim was too incompetent to take off herself.
The removal was two years ago. Why didn't I write this review earlier? I didn't want to "ruin" Dr. Kim's dentistry reputation, especially since she agreed to give me a refund for my braces. Yet, the consequences of her inadequate work are still affecting me today (I am STILL wearing braces, for the third year now, when it should have been only one year from the start.do you know how long flossing takes when you have brackets?).
Although COVID has contributed to the time I've spent wearing my braces, had I gone to a professional orthodontist from the start, rather than trusting Dr. Kim, I would have had them off by now. It is extremely disappointing to think that I had been with her for over ten years, and she thought it was totally okay to take my money for her poor-quality orthodontic services. She clearly values making money over her customers' well being. NOT okay.

I normally hate going to the dentist the fear of hearing that i need dental work. I finally got the courage to make an appointment & I am soooooo happy that i chose the right one! Dr kim is the sweetest, honest, most gentle dentist I've ever been too. she explains everything so well. yes i needed a few fillings but for the first time i did not have doubts that i didn't need it or that i was scared it would hurt. Cant wait for my 6 month check up!

I have been coming to Dr. Kim for about 7 years or more, and I absolutely love coming to her! She is the only dentist I trust and feel comfortable with; she is very professional and knowledgeable. She explains whatever procedure I am going to get done, and always checks in on me if I'm doing okay, or if I need numbing cream for a deep cleaning, etc. I definitely recommend Dr. Kim!

For the last 10 years my family and I have been coming to this dental practice. We love Dr. Kim, she is very professional, gentle handed and answers all the questions we have. I highly recommend coming to this practice. Her dental office is towards a back of a little building, waiting room has a very cozy vibe.
