Regular brushing and flossing are excellent for maintenance between office visits, but a healthy mouth and beautiful smile require routine general and preventative care to stay that way. Our practice offers general care that includes regular oral examinations and cleanings. Dr. Nestor M. Santiago DDS is originally from Chicago, IL and currently resides in Mililiani, HI with his wife Lauren K. Santiago. He graduated with degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and Rush University at Chicago. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, he proudly served three years with the US Army Dental Command at Schofield Barracks, HI and completed a dental residency at Tripler Army Medical Center.He currently provides dental services at practices here in Kapolei and Hilo, HI.
Because we value our patients' time, we try to stay on time with our schedule and will try to complete treatment in as few visits as possible. First time patient's are asked to please fill out our patient forms in advance of your first visit. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, we request at least 24 hours notice so that another patient may benefit from the treatment time that was reserved for you.

Staff are wonderful and it's just a calming place. Especially someone like me who's afraid of going to the dentist. Doctor Santiago is the man to go to. He so calm and makes you feel comfortable when his working on you. Been with him over 10 years now. And i drive from Kaneohe to Kapolei just to see him!

I love this dental practice! They explain procedures and options. They are clear and up front about charges. Dr. Santiago and the dental hygienist's are kind and gentle which is great because going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do! If you need a dental home, you should really check them out!

The Doctors and Staff at Dental Care Kapolei are so wonderful and caring! Dr. Arakawa and my hygienist, Lani, are so kind and personable, treating me "like family" and always show they have my best interests in mind, explaining things so that I feel well informed and comfortable about the condition of, or any decisions needing to be made concerning my dental health. From the friendly girls up front, to the helpful business office in back, the DCK Team is exceptional and I highly recommend them for great dental care!

It was a wonderful first time experience with Dr Scott Arakawa Dental Care Kapolei asa new patient, . Staff was very welcoming at the reception and checkup areas. Especially during this pandemic, felt very safe with their checking in process, wearing masks and the cleanliness of their office. Dr. Arakawa and his assistant were very thorough when examining me and made a comment to him, "for the first time, my teeth were cleaned so well." He also took the time in explaining to me, step by step when going through the cleaning process which made me understand how important it is to floss and brush which I hardly took to heart until then!

The clinic received me on time. I was there for a routine cleaning, which was proficiently done in a thorough manner without pain. I engaged in pleasant conversation with the dental hygienist throughout. After the cleaning, the dentist performed a quick exam, telling me my mouth was in good condition and that there was only one tooth that he needed to keep an eye on in future appointments. The secretary arranged my next appointment at a time satisfactory to me.

Love this place. If you have to go to the dentist, they make it a positive experience. I get texts to remind me of my appointments. I never wait to go in. They are conservative in their treatments. The dentist did the actual cleaning and polishing. Plus, they have TVs so I got to watch the World Series. What's not to love?
