Starting with just one treatment room over 20 years ago, the practice of Sam English, D.D.S. has expanded and now occupies six locations across the state of Virginia. With a team of over 75 auxiliary personnel and 12 doctors, the Dental Centers of Virginia offer the convenience of six professionally staffed offices - allowing most procedures to be completed in-house. All of the doctors and staff members are committed to continuing education and take classes to stay current in the latest advancements in dentistry.

A smile can be dulled by stained, chipped, cracked or misaligned teeth, but bonding can quickly and painlessly restore your smile's natural beauty. During the procedure, a thin coating of plastic or resin is painted over the damaged teeth, strengthening them and making them virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Registered online before my appointment very easy and seamless. On arrival the front office were very friendly, efficient and helpfulI, I was seen immediately. Dr./ Dental Hygienist went through my medical history and medication, genuinely showed care for my health. Explained procedures performed, condition of my teeth and gave recommendations. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. From my personal experience I 100% recommend this dental office.

Office management in Mechanicsville has definitely changed over the last few years & not for the better. I have confirmed my last 2 appointments via their text, just to arrive there for them not to find my appointment anywhere in their system. Last time, I was rescheduled for another day, they then called me a few days later & cancelled, stating the Dr. would not be in the office at that time. Also, my sister went there & billing sent the bill to her spouse, whose not even on her insurance plan. 1 of my sons went for his appointment & waited for almost 2 hours before being seen.
Quality Service does not exist at this office with the only exception being Robin at their front desk. Robin goes above & beyond with her work, but unfortunately it's not enough to keep me & 8 other family members going to this office. When the head dentist retired, the office work quality started to go down & has worsened with time.

Yes, it is difficult to get anyone by phone. However, I walked in this past Tuesday and had an appointment scheduled today. Great experience from Linda and Dr. M. Accepts my primary and secondary insurance. Cleaning was painless and effective. If you can adapt and walk in to schedule appointments, you'll have a great experience, too.

This office does not answer the phone nor return messages. I've been calling for 3 weeks with no resolution. There is NO continuity of care since every time I go I get a different dentist. I just spoke with my insurance company and found out no one bothered to file any pre auth as promised 5 weeks ago by the girl at the front desk. God help you if you have a true emergency. I have stuck with this clinic for over 13 yrs but there is no customer service provided here.time to move onto someone may actually care about outcomes.

Constant change in staff and dentists. This time I left this practice and went somewhere else. Prior to that, I have been calling to get an appointment. I called 9/30 (left a message), 10/1(left a second message), 10/4, and on 10/5 I had called 4 times, hoping to get through. This final time I actually went to the location to see if I can get an appointment.
I made the lady at the front aware that I've been trying to reach them to get an appt. her response was "we weren't here". I then asked her for how long was nobody in the office? Because I have been calling for a straight week and left messages? My questions weren't clearly answered, she was rather rude and pushy and annoyed. I then told her not to worry about the appt that I'll be going somewhere else. It wasn't till then she said she's been the only one here and is doing her best to get back to everyone? Not a good experience.

I thought they did a great job and no wait time. I had pictures taken of my teeth and had to wear the lead vest for protection. I heard many women in the dentist office have gotten breast cancer. I have friends who work in that field and so i was surprised that they didn't have any protection for them selfs. All they can do is stand behind a small interior wall which will probably do almost nothing. So get these nice women some upgraded protection. Save the Ta Tas

They didn't run my insurance and 6 months later sent me a full price bill (first one I got front them at all) saying I owed $470 dollars and that it was 90 days late for one cleaning and filling. I called and she said sorry and she would re-run it. Two weeks later I got another bill and I called and she denied everything she said before and said that my dental insurance doesn't cover cleaning and it's my responsibility to know that, when I called my insurance to see what places excepted this was one and I know it covered cleanings, and she said if I don't pay full price it's going to a collecter.
As I was wronged I didn't know what to do so I called AGAIN and this time she said she forgot to charge me my co pay and that she would take 100 off for that and that I have to pay the rest. So today almost a year later I have a bill for $312 from a collector. never go here unless you want to be scammed.
