Hands down the friendliest group of people out there! While I still don't like the idea of going to the dentist and having my mouth poked and prodded, the staff at Jacob Stein DMD makes it a joy to go in. For the first time in my life, I've gotten consistent cleanings every 6 months- and I look forward to it every time. If you're looking for a new dentist, or if you're looking for your first dentist, give them a chance! You will not regret it.

I have had a horrible experience with this Doctor. I was a regular patient for close to 10 years and this use to be a good place, but that is not the case any more. Once I had a terrible tooth ache after the cleaning was performed and hence I revisited the clinic but the Doctor was very rude and rechecking procedure was very painful with no empathy for a patient.

There were some very good Dental hygienist working here and they do not work for this Doctor any more. I would never recommend this Doctor to anyone. I wish I could give him zero star but I have to select one.

Love the people and the whole office. Everyone who works here are professional and extremely friendly. Dr. Stein is a great dentist. Glad to have them here in Northborough!

I was recommended many years ago to go see Dr. Stein for a root canal, I am a very hard patient in the sense that novicane wares off within minutes for me. The entire experience was overall great though, Dr. Stein was very kind and patient with me. I have stuck with his office throughout the years because his staff, especially his assistant Karen and Administrative assistant Dale have been nothing if not extended family to me. I am so greatfull to have had the pleasure of using him as my dentist as I feel comfortable and welcomed every time I am there. I highly recommend this office.

I have been going to Dr. Stein for years and I have had crowns, a root canal, fillings, cleanings, etc performed at his office. He is a wonderful dentist, extremely thorough and very accommodating. His staff is fantastic. They are some of the nicest ladies you will ever meet. Thank you Dr. Stein, Karen, Janice and Dale. I hope to be returning to your office for years and years to come. Dr. Stein and his staff have set a new standard in my experience with dentist. He listens and addresses your concerns (and fears) with honesty. From cleaning to repair he and his staff are very personable and professional

I've had three fillings with Dr. Stein at this point and I am still happy to walk in the office! Everyone at Dr. Stein's is amazingly friendly and efficient. I am always greeted warmly and treated kindly. Love love love my dentist, how many people can say that?

I just hope Dr. Stein isn't planning on retiring any time soon! I had a pleasant experience with this professional. He was straight forward without being abrasive. His assisting staff are wonderful as well; screening for oral cancer a plus. Will definitely be back & refer family.

Dr. Stein and his team have taken excellent care of my family's dental needs for the past 18+ years. They are fantastic with kids as well as adults. They make sure you are comfortable and well informed about what they are doing at all times. The office is modern, incredibly clean and inviting. I am confident putting our smiles in their hands!

I visited Dr. Stein's office from a referral. I had cracked one of my molars and needed a root canal as soon as possible. I called and the staff scheduled me for the following business day, which I thought was a great response. The office is centrally located so it was easy to find with ample parking. After the usual paperwork I was taken right in and had x-rays done. Dr. Stein came in and administered some Novocain and started the procedure. Now, I think we are conditioned to accept a certain level of pain and discomfort when it comes to visiting a dentist.

But guess what? Not only DIDN'T I experience ANY pain during the root canal but no Advil was needed afterward! It sounds crazy, but it's the absolute truth. I will continue to refer all my friends and family to this wonderfully professional dentist office! It was a great experience and I encourage you to give them a try! Trent Robbins West Boylston, MA

Dr. Stein is simply the best. He has done flawless work for me for years, and recently he replaced a failed bridge for free! It was a great effort and expense on his part but he was adamant that I shouldn't pay even though the bridge's failure was not his fault. He is a gentle, lovely man, perhaps a bit shy which may be why he seems distant to some who review him here.

I have found him to be warm, friendly and forthcoming once I initiate conversation. I think one of the reasons his work is outstanding is that he focuses intensely on what he's doing and get's every detail right.

Our family has been going to Family Dentistry for over 15 years. They are fabulous! I love the fact that there is very little turnover among his staff. They know me and they know my kids. It is so much easier to go to a appointment when you know who will be doing the work and that the work will be done thoroughly and gently. Dr. Stein has always been easy to talk to, he answers all my questions, tells me about what he is keeping an eye on, and doesn't suggest work that isn't necessary.

If he says that I need something done, I believe him and have complete confidence in his ability to do the work. We have not had a single problem with any of the fillings, crowns, root canals, or any other work he has performed. He is kind, gentle and honest. His staff is the same. Best of all, when I have called because of a problem they ALWAYS fit me in within hours.

They also follow up to make sure things are going well. When I had a problem with the first prescribed antibiotics not taking care of an abscess, Dr. Stein called me to make sure the 2nd prescribed one was doing the job. I highly recommend Family Dentistry - we have never thought of going anywhere else.

We have been patients of Dr Stein for over 17 years. While the doctor may seem cold and impersonal at first, it shouldn't put you off. He's really a very nice person once you engage him in conversation. He is very efficient and expects the same of his staff. Don't be afraid to speak up. If you tell him you are not comfortable, or that your repair feels odd, he will do everything to mitigate the situation. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I recommend this practice for adults.

Hands down one of the best dentists I have ever been to. I've been Dr. Stein's patient for over 6 years and have always been extremely happy with his work. His staff is very kind and friendly. The office is very clean which is really important to me. Dr. Stein makes sure to answers all of your questions and really cares about his patients. I strongly recommend his office to anyone who is looking for an experienced dentist who knows what he is doing.

The staff here are extremely friendly and make you feel comfortable. Karen does an especially good job with cleanings. She leaves you feeling clean and not in pain. She's very gentle and thorough. Dr. Stein is a very friendly man. Any other reviews that say otherwise probably haven't gotten to know him. He's very professional and friendly.

He also isn't one of those dentists that will do a procedure just to charge you for it. He's reasonable and makes sure he only does procedures when absolutely necessary. My family and I have been going to Dr. Stein for years and will continue to do so. Nobody likes going to the dentist but the staff here make going to the dentist a pleasant experience.

I was staying with my sister in Northboro for a week and wouldn't you know it, the first night there I started feeling some serious pain in my tooth. My sister insisted I visit Dr. Jacob Stein, as he treats her entire family. I am always very skeptical whenever I meet any doctor for the first time, but Dr. Stein was great. He treated me as if I had been his patient for many years. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, as was his entire staff. If you are looking for a dentist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Stein!

Dr. Stein has the "bedside" manner of a cold fish. He barley talks to you and seems to be a bit rude to his staff. They, however, seem to be quite good at what they do. The hygienist I saw was gentle and thorough. The assistant who cared for me during a procedure was one of the best I have ever encountered. Dr. Stein seems to be meticulous as he takes his time and wears huge loupes (magnification lenses). However, he left me with a huge overhang (too much filling material in between teeth) that would trap big chunks of food and shred even the strongest of floss.

When I had it repaired by another dentist, she found that it popped right off the second she touched it with the drill and left no contact at all! Had to have the filling redone (out of pocket of course, because the insurance won't cover it unless you see the same dentist~fat chance!). My new dentist also found something he missed on the x-rays. Won't be going back.
