I used the same dentist in Concord for 25 years. They were a childhood friend and a great dentist. However, it became to difficult when I relocated to Stanly County and working in Charlotte to go to Concord to the dentist. Jason E. Martin DDS is on my way to the office and has been a great dentist also! I love their office and the staff. Everyone is very professional but very personable.
The office is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. If you weren't sitting in a dental chair, you would think you were in your living room! They are always prompt and mindful of your time. They were a referral from a colleague and I could not be happier with my choice of the dentist office! -Sherry Howard

I've been coming to Dr. Martin since I was a little kid. It's always been a good experience. Until my most recent visit. I made an appointment with Dr. Martin, and when I got there they had me seeing Dr. Brune. I had waited 3+ weeks for my appointment so whatever, they both went to school, I'm just more comfortable with the dentist I've known my entire life.
I told the receptionist when I made the appointment that I had an exposed root so I needed it treated. She told me they would have to take x-rays and do the usual check-up cleaning for the usual $139 price and then would be able to tell me what they could do about it. Fine, I suspected as much, and I hadn't been to the dentist in a year or so since my dental insurance ran out.
But when I got there they did take an X-ray, but that was all. Otherwise they looked at my teeth and were like, yep, you have an exposed root, you'll have to go to a periodontist. Here is one we're affiliated with. That'll be $139 (Even though there was no cleaning or anything) and an extra $15 if you want prescription toothpaste too. I don't know why but I ended up purchasing the toothpaste, so for a total of $154 they told me what I told them when I set my appointment up. not even setting the appointment with the requested dentist at that!
Now I have another appointment in another month with a periodontist, where it will once again cost $150 for them to look at my tooth and tell me I have an exposed root and THEN they'll be able to treat it (for thousands of dollars extra). I hate that this place wasted so much money when they could have told me over the phone when I was setting-up the appointment in the first place that I would need to go to a periodontist instead.
Especially since I've been such a long time customer. My entire family goes here. We helped them find their recommendations for orthodontists and have led many customers their way. The only reason this is three stars instead of one is because of all the other, usual good treatment. But this was just unacceptable. They've lost me as a customer.

It was my first visit to them, and I have acute "dentist-phobia!" But everyone was so nice, they immediately put me at ease. Very professional. I felt they truly cared. I was very happy with the results of the dental work and happy with my choice to go to them! And on my 2nd visit during the Covid-19 pandemic, I felt very safe. All had on masks and I observed constant hand washing/sanitizing. The checkout procedure was very safe also.

Worst dental experience. Went in to have a weak spot filled before it turned into a cavity, left feeling sore and achey. My mouth was not completely numb, so I could feel everything. The dentist seemed like he was rushing to get through my filling because it was so close to the end of the day. Could feel the drilling and scraping on the nerve of my tooth. Dentist tried to physically force a small bit of plastic between my teeth multiple times before finding the right size, which resulted in my gums bleeding.
Two days later and my gums/tooth are still too sore to chew. Also, when the dentist was not complaining about having to work so late I was instead forced to listen to a Christian radio station campaigning for money.

Came the first time, gave insurance info to staff, came second time to get filling, was told. in the middle of the procedure. that I was covered. I had a bad tooth that would need a root canal, but at the time it was not hurting. So the staff told me they checked with my insurance and i was covered at 60%. So over the next 2 weeks we did the root canal.
Bill comes. it's over a thousand dollars! I call his staff and they admitted that they never ACTUALLY called my insurance, they just got a print off of my coverage from the automated line, and it was confusing, so instead of calling, ,, they GUESSED at my coverage. turnes out that in 2 more weeks, I would have been covered. Even though I could have waited till I was covered, and it was their mistake, they REFUSED to come down on the price!
And a few weeks later, one of the fillings fell out! I offered to pay cash for the amount I would have paid with the coverage, which was almost $500.00, plus what the insurance paid, but they refused to work on the price at all.
