Dowell Stephen C

I've been going to Dr. Dowell since I was 5. I went to school with his kids, who are just as kind as he is, you will not find a better family practice. Its been years since I've been there and I finally caved. (I don't like anyone near my teeth) and Dr. Dowell treated me like an old friend. I had my wisdom teeth taken out, not only did he do it pain free and MUCH less than a surgeon, he called me at 830pm on a Tuesday just to check up on me. The Dowell dentistry practice and everyone who works for them are great people. I highly recommend.

I hate the dentist. But Dr. Dowell is the best in the business. I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction and it was a breeze. Dr. Dowell even called the night after to make sure I was doing ok. That really stood out to me. I won't go to anyone else.

Had went in for a broken tooth with pain. They took good care of me, very compassionate team and the dentist took the extra step to relieve all pain and discomfort. He removed the tooth and gave me stitches. No more pain and I am grateful for the procedure. Will be returning. Thank you.

I had a lot of stuff done there I wanted my front teeth out but he promised me that he would fix them and that they would last. I've had my front teeth done so many times. Now one of my front teeth has broken like in the past. I now live in Texas.

Let me start this review by mentioning that both my husband and I were patients with the Dowell Dentist Group for the last 3-4 years. Until last week, when their office called to say that: 1. our dentist (the only good one in the practice, IMO) had left and, 2. they were no longer going to take Medicare insurance! Now they are refusing to tell me where our favorite dentist has gone.

Even the first year that my husband was seeing these folks, working with a different dentist, they seriously over billed us and filed the insurance incorrectly. It took me over six months and multiple billing rounds to clear up the thousand$ of dollars of over charges. I don't trust any doctor/dentist who has one hand in my pocket while he is treating me.

They are very nice and have helped me a lot. This is the only dentists I've gone to. I probably won't ever go anywhere else. I would recommend them to everyone!

I phoned today to be seen as a new patient and because of the problem I was calling about, Jennifer scheduled me to come right in! Dr. Dowell listened to my concerns and addressed the problem in such a way that I know that between his approach and the wonderful way I was taken care of by his staff I have found the best fit for me and all of my dental needs! I have been a patient for nearly 20 years. Over this time, I have had routine cleanings, fillings, and even braces. I drive over an hour to see Dr. Dowell because he is a great dentist and I trust him. He has went above and beyond to make sure I am completely satisfied. I have a brand new smile and I will never go to anyone else. Thank you so much!

Tried going here first since its nearby because I have an Abcess tooth which is literally unbearable but they refused to help unless you pay up front. Went somewhere else that allowed me to be sent the Bill for my exam/X-ray and for half of what THIS office was asking

Although Dr. Dowell is very friendly and welcoming I am less than happy about my experience with him. I didn't have dental insurance and went to him for an annual cleaning. During the cleaning, Dr. Dowell informed me I had six (!) small cavities. I have never had a cavity before or since I've seen him. I paid nearly $2000 to have them drilled and filled.

And since I've had to have ALL of them replaced because they were done so poorly. Perhaps, I did truly need six cavities filled. But I doubt it. When I called to complain, the woman at the front desk said they would repair the fillings but that I would have to cover the cost. No thank you. I've had them corrected since with a dentist that doesn't rip me off and do crap work.
