Services
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends an orthodontic screening for children by the age of 7 years. At age 7 the teeth and jaws are developed enough so that the dentist or orthodontist can see if there will be any serious bite problems in the future. Most of the time treatment is not necessary at age 7, but it gives the parents and dentist time to watch the development of the patient and decide on the best mode of treatment. When you have time on your side you can plan ahead and prevent the formation of serious problems.
We are pleased to offer laser dentistry to our patients. Our Biolase iPlus 2 is able to remove tooth decay for fillings and perform soft tissue surgery. We also use lasers to diagnose cavities, aid in TMJ pain relief, bleach teeth, relieve pain and promote healing of cold sores and apthus ulcers. Wow!

I brought my nephew here two weeks ago for a routine clean and they're amazing! We just moved to the area and saw how many good reviews this place had! The receptionist staff was phenomenal and so was his dentist. I have told my sister we won't be going anywhere else! If there was an option for them to do adults I'm positive there would be a line down the street! If you're considering taking your children here I 100% recommend!

Dr. Crowell and her entire staff were phenomenal with my grand daughter. She came in scared from a bad experience at another dentist and they quickly put us all at ease. They helped her overcome her fear and even found fewer cavities than what we were referred for. We have found her new dentist and will be switching her sister over too!

My son has Autism and this is his second visit, so they saw how he was the first time. Today we went for xray and it was 40 minutes of struggling and crying of a 5 year old to get the cleaning and the xrays. They do-not give sedation except for fillings or dental work, else you have to bare what your child goes through. I was hoping for a more comfortable, easy visit than what I experienced. Otherwise the drs and the nurses are polite.

I took our son here to have caps put on his baby teeth and wasn't allowed to be in the exam room w him. They made me wait outside the room as I listed to him cry from pain and needing me. She made me feel guilty for letting our son enjoy ice cream on occasion and less of a parent. Since his caps were put on our son has had multiple infections and pain from them. We go to Kid Smile in Avon after that visit with Crowell and our son is traumatized from her. Absolute poor bedside manner and not friendly.

Like a breath of fresh air this office was. So caring from the front desk to the staff in the room. Dr Crowell was nothing short of patient and amazing with my daughter. I just went today for the first time after transferring my daughter from another dentist, so thankful I made the switch. They are something special.

Had an absolutely amazing experience. My daughter had a very traumatizing first visit at the dentist last year (elsewhere, ended with a surgical procedure) Today was a routine visit and the first time at this location. She was extremely terrified and combative. The staff helped calm her down and took care of her with the upmost effectiveness and professionalism. They were so understanding and patient. What started as a scary visit for her, ended with a smile on her face! Highly recommend!

My daughter has developed a severe dental phobia due to Dr. Ramirez's carelessness. Something that was described as painless hurt a lot because the doctor wasn't paying attention, and now dental visits are traumatic for both me and my child. Procedures were performed incorrectly, which meant they had to perform additional procedures at our expense!
Nice scam they have going there. Every interaction gives one the feeling that they are trying to soak you by performing extra unnecessary procedures. Office staff is extremely rude and incompetent. Paperwork was lost and calls went unreturned.

I brought in my autistic daughter for a consultation. She has extreme anxiety about the dentist. She was completely rude to me, talked to me like I was a child. I am a health care provider and have never been spoken to so poorly. I was voicing my concern that restraining my daughter (not to mention it's like 4 point restraints) might be traumatizing to her and she then refused and kept saying mom said traumatizing.
It was completely unbelievable. I can barely get her into the dentist now I'm going to restrain her, she will never come back again. Her speech is limited and I am her voice. She was so incredibly rude I walked out and found another dentist who listens to their patients and mother!

My three year old was quite nervous about her visit. I am so impressed with how patient and slow they were with her, and how respectful they were towards her! I've already recommended this practice to two friends and our first appointment was this morning! Everyone we encountered was kind and treated my child well. I highly recommend!

My 2 year old daughter had her first appointment today; we had a great experience. The office staff, hygienists, and the dentist (Dr. Ramirez) were so friendly and welcoming. They took their time and explained everything to my daughter before and during her cleaning. The office was clean; the scheduling process was quick & easy. I highly recommend this practice!

A+++++++++ I can't say enough good things about this office and the staff! It is by far the best dr. office experience that I've ever had! Our first visit was with my 3 year old son who seemed to love both Dr. Crowell and Laura, our Hygienist. Both of these women were very compassionate & personable, but also professional and had an outstanding pediatric bedside manner.
Their methods of working with my son helped to gradually ease his fears, which allowed him to become completely comfortable with letting them exam and work in his mouth, which was a first for him (his last two visits to a different pediatric dentist, he wouldn't even let them look in his mouth!) The front office staff were equally friendly & professional, making our visit from start to finish quick, easy and methodical, which made me feel just as comfortable and at ease with this office.
We also very much appreciated the quick tour of the office at the beginning of the visit and the explanation of how each visit runs, and the way they clean the instruments. Although a small detail, I can't express enough how much that quick tour and explanation made me feel even more comfortable and at ease at a doctors office than I've ever felt before.
I wish every doctor's office would do that. And last but not least, the entire office was immaculately clean and organized. The waiting room had toys for little ones, and a video game room for older kids, and was decorated in bright fun colors and whimsical designs that I imagine appeal to kids, but with a casual sophistication which appealed to my adult senses.
I couldn't be happier that we found Dr. Crowell's office for my son's pediatric dentist here in Ohio! The 45 minute drive was totally worth it! We will definitely be making this our son's dental home.
