I set up an appointment due to pain in a rear molar. They took an X-Ray and put in a numbing temporary filling. After 4 tries, the?dentist? actually got the filling in. The tooth needed to be removed so they, despite having my insurance information, referred my to a surgeon that did not take my insurance, I only found this out after driving 40 minutes to the surgeon that would have cost me about $1800 out of pocket. I have had 7 major surgeries and have never had a referral to a facility that did not take my insurance. This "dentist" is the equivalent of Jiffy Lube.

My family has been going to the Phillipsburg office of Dental Health Associates since 2008. During that time, service quality has steadily declined. My wife and I have begun a search for a new provider. The straw that broke the camel's back is that my daughter and I both had appointments for the same day. Due to a protracted period of time in their efforts to verify my insurance by phone, we spent over 1 and a half hours waiting before being told that yes, the insurance has been confirmed, but it is now past the time time for my daughter's appointment so she will need to reschedule.
We made it clear when the appointment was made that our insurance had changed. Just because they didn't take the time to create a provider login via the insurance company's online portal, the customer has to be inconvenienced. That is ridiculous. Customer service takes many forms and respect is high on that list. They already gouge you with the fees that they charge.
Now they want you to empty your pockets and your pride. Not going to happen! We will be ramping up our search for a new dental provider. Most certainly one that respects their customers.

The office is always dirty and the receptionists are not very friendly. The office told me a tooth needed to be pulled, and after a second opinion at a different dentist, I'm keeping my tooth and having a microscopic procedure. This office tried to make you pay more than you need to, doing work that is not actually required. Would not reccomend.

I has scheduled an appointment for both of my sons back in March for 9/12/2018 at 4 pm and 4:30 pm. I explained at checkout that I needed the absolute latest appointment. On that day as I was on my way from Annandale to Phillipsburg, I get a phone call at 3:40 pm from the Hygienist asking if we are on our way because our appointment was at 3:30 pm.
I said we are on our way but our appointment is at 4 and 4:30. She said that she leaves at 4 so that was wrong. She also said that they tried calling me to confirm the appointment but was unable to get in touch or leave a message. I asked then how were you able to get though to me? I asked to reschedule, and was told to call the office, I will not return.
If someone can change the appointment without contacting me and lie about not being able to contact me then I will not give you my business. I had left work early and used vacation time, in addition to wasting time and gas for nothing. I will go where my business is appreciated. I am in the medical field and have been in customer service for over 20 years, that is just unacceptable.

My experience at this office started out positive as all my needs were met, but however the last year has been sub par due to lack of follow up with my treatment plan. Seems like there's too many patients and not enough people to stay organized in the office. Dr. Moon is excellent though. I would recommend it if only you can get in to see him.
