Services
Dr. Kitson is a general dentist providing comprehensive dental care for adults and children. Dr. Kitson has worked in the dental field since 1984. For twelve years she practiced as a dental hygienist in Western New York State and Northeast Florida, specializing in periodontics. In 2000 Dr. Kitson joined our practice after obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She is married to David G. Bowers, Jr. Dr. Bietenholz is a general dentist providing comprehensive dental care for adults and children.
Originally from Fernandina Beach, FL, Teresa joined Amelia Dental Group in 1991 as dental assistant. She has had several administrative positions in our office and became our Practice Administrator in 2010. Teresa is a proud member of the American Association of Dental Office Management and serves as the President of the AADOM Northeast Florida Chapter an association for Practice Administrators, Office Managers and Administrative Teams. She received her Diplomate from the American Association of Dental Office Management in the fall of 2021 in Orlando, FL.
Originally from Fernandina Beach, FL, Heather joined our practice in 2004 as a dental assistant. She graduated from Concorde Career Institute. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Originally from Yulee, FL. Mistye joined our practice in 2006 as a dental assistant. She graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 2004.
Originally from Bunnell, FL, Teresa joined our practice in 1981 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She took time away to raise her son Trevor and her daughter Kristen and returned to ADG in 1993. She graduated from Florida Junior College at Jacksonville in 1979 and is a member of Rivers Edge Church in Hillard.

Staff is amazing from the time you walk into the facility until you depart. The cleaning went as expected and the young lady who cleaned my teeth was wonderful. She not only cleaned my teeth but took the time to make suggestions on how to clean at home to prevent gum and bone disease. After completing the suggestions, she showed me how best to complete the ask correctly. Great visit if you can call going to the dentist a great time.

I've been so fortunate to have my dental needs taken care of at the Amelua Dental Group. I've been going there for decades and I'd never want to switch to another provider. Each and every time I go, I know I can depend on consistent excellent care. They go above and beyond in literally every aspect of professional care in any given visit. Every person on staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. They make you feel right at home. They offer everything you'd want in a dentist office.

Amelia Dental is fantastic. Having moved to Fernandina from Jacksonville we needed a new family dentist. The office staff was amazing to work with getting our appointment set up as well as our records from our previous dental office. The office is so clean and nice. Our hygienist Jenn was amazing with our 7 year old son during his cleaning appointment. He actually enjoyed going to the dentist! Win! Thank you Amelia Dental I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing a local dentist.

Going to the dentist is not my favorite appointment in life, but this practice recognizes that fact and does all they can to make each appointment as comfortable as possible. They always take excellent care of me, and my family. The office is calming and lovely, the staff if very kind and accommodating and their appointment reminder texts and emails are very helpful. Highly recommend this group of professionals!

Very attentive and friendly. Genuinely cared about my dental anxiety. Dr. Garrett provides plenty of personal time and makes you feel part of the process. And was patient and gentle. I will be recommending him to everyone I know seeking dental care. I can't even imagine anything that could of improved the visit. Great job - everyone from front desk to chair.

Being a military family, we have moved 15 times in 22 years and have had many dental experiences. Amelia Dental Group is, by far, our very favorite! They have the best up-to-date equipment and dental gadgets - making our comfort and care is Dr. Garrett's top priority! If you feel stressed about going to the dentist, the ambience here it will surely help.
Everything is fresh and clean, plus the treatment rooms have beautiful views - flower gardens, a pond, and plenty of wildlife. It kind of sounds like a mini Amelia Island vacation - they are that good.

I have been going to AMELIA DENTAL for a long time. I have never had any problems. Every time I go everyone is so friendly and caring. This is the best part about going that I love. Every time I call they even answer all my questions or they'll call me back with the answer. You don't get that too many times at other places. I recommend AMELIA DENTAL to anyone that wants someone to clean their teeth good and keep up with their dental history.
