San Marcos Gentle Dental

My husband and I recently moved to San Marcos and we needed a new dentist. Dr. Campbell an Vi were very gentle, professional and kind!

My hygienist, Stormy, was very pleasant and as usual did a good job. The first x-ray she took and showed to the doctor revealed decay underneath one of my crowns. She and another assistant had to take over 7 more X-rays to try and resolve weather I would need a root canal in addition to a new crown. So, excessive X-rays I thought. The woman assisting the hygienist with the x-rays came in initially not wearing a mask.

When I asked her to please put on a mask she seemed a bit displeased. The person at checkout as I was leaving gave me what I thought was an excessively high estimate for repairing a possible root canal plus the crown. I did not make an appointment for that quoted procedure. I have made an appointment with another dentist for a second opinion and pricing.

The Omicron Covid virus variation is increasing in Texas, but most of the waiting patients nor the clinic's reception staff nor the person assisting with my x-rays were wearing masks. Additionally no temperature test was required upon entry. If the clinic updates it's response to changes in recommendations by the CDC regarding covid I will continue using their hygienist. I will go elsewhere for other services.

San Marcos Gentle Dental is known for having great dentists! I visited San Marcos Gentle Dental for a simple cleaning and the dental hygienist, Mica, was very skilled in how to ask questions and did a great job on my cleaning. It was the first time for me to experience the high-pressure air polisher and now I will prefer that technique. Gentle Gentle has done work on my teeth previously and I am always impressed with the quality of their equipment. The front staff are extremely professional and helpful in answering questions and keeping the office on track.

I haven't had any issues with this dentist office until recently. I have been seen here for a couple years now too. The staff is usually incredibly helpful and friendly. However this review is for their call center. I had called twice to get some direction and help with a dental emergency and both times the people answering the phone were rude and not helpful at all.

The first call I had called during business hours to try to set up an appointment to get seen asap and the woman on the phone was rude and just ignored me asking for an appointment. She said someone would call back and that never happened. I had to call again that evening because the Situation had gotten worse and the man that answered was also not helpful.

He took down the information for me and didn't give me any clear information back. He sounded like he did not care if the message was relied to the office or not. I ended up having to go somewhere else that was more sympathetic and easier to deal with. And this whole thing was so off putting that I don't even want to come back to this office.

Best experience at a dentist's office I've had in a long time! I'm so glad I made the choice to become a new patient! I've participated in their free dental day and they have always been kind to the public coming in. This is the only dental practice that does this greatly needed and appreciated service to our community. So, thanks to you all! I come to SM Gentle Dental from Communicare in Kyle, where I've had a series of frustrating visits and interactions with staff.

I am only paying a $20 difference for a cleaning at Gentle Dental, which is worth it because I received 5 star treatment today! And, I don't have to spend extra time going back and forth to Kyle. I really enjoyed my visit with Gretchen the Hygienist. She knew her stuff, listened to my concerns and fears, as I am a nervous dental patient. She and Dr. Gentile made me feel safe, heard, and respected no matter how ridiculous my fears sound.

Thanks for that! The numbing gel used to make my cleaning more comfortable for me was aces! I felt nothing and was shocked that I had no sensitivity. Got lots of great tips from Gretchen on the home care of my teeth. Doctor Gentile was kind and had a great chair-side manner. He gave me options instead of imposing his opinion or will on my care. Thanks!

I also was tickled to meet the office dog! Sweet bulldog quietly waiting for his green beans I was told, lol! Last but not least, I had a great view of the outside while getting my cleaning as my chair was infront a large picture window. That was very calming for me. And, they played good music that put me at ease. The hygienist even mentioned that they can hook me up with some headphones and relaxing music if that helps keep me calm during a possibly long procedure in the future.

I got cash prices for my future care. I do not have insurance and was not given any options for discounts unfortunately, but they do accept the Care Credit card. I do hope they will work with me because I would love to keep them as my dentist. I will be returning!

I have gone to San Marcos Gentle Dental for 5 years now for cleanings and they are always punctual and efficient. I hadn't used them for anything else until yesterday, when I had a crown come off and what could have been a bad situation. They were impressive as usual. The front office got me in quickly, they were prompt to get me back and started and a short time later had me fixed up, no pain and I was out the door for a much more affordable price due to their customer package I subscribe to. They did not try to seek out a more expensive procedure, they were honest and looked to find the best solution for me! Highly recommend this office!

I'm a relatively new patient this being my third visit. This is an outstanding dental office with many fine people working there to provide top notch dentistry. Madelyne delivered the finest pain-free cleaning I've ever had! She is a lovely person and an asset to this place!

I always have an incredible experience here! Every staff member makes you feel like family and they always listen to what you have to say. Dr. Gentile and Dr. Donnelly are fantastic dentists and always take care of you. Stormy, the dental hygienist is extremely nice and considerate of any pain you may have in your mouth. Highly recommend this dental practice to anyone!

I chose San Marcos Gentle Dental due to their 5 star rating and I was very impressed. Amanda and Margaret were very friendly and welcoming, as was the hygienist, Ms. Stormy. My cleaning experience was the best ever, because Ms. Stormy made me feel comfortable and valued as a person. She goes above and beyond in providing excellent service and exhibits a positive attitude that's commendable. I will definitely return!

The BEST dentist's office I've been to. The entire staff is professional, friendly and competent. Dr. Donnelly provides consistent, top quality care. Madelyn is my hygienist there. She is gentle and kind and cleans thoroughly! Also, they understand that not everyone loves the dental experience. Don't hesitate to call. They'll take great care of your teeth!
