Taraneh Tabatabaie, DMD, and John Manousos, DMD, are pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to their neighbors in North Providence and the surrounding communities. Dr. Taraneh received her undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Boston University and then attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned the prosthetic award in her graduating class.
Tabatabaie and Manousos believe in being able to provide all the care you may need, from emergency dentistry to root canals, implant placement to TMJ treatment, even esthetic dentistry and teeth whitening options. You can receive all your care in one office, with providers you know and trust, and almost never need to go anywhere else!
Dental implants are the ideal way to replace lost teeth. From the front of the mouth, where they are most visible, to the back, where they provide stability to chew a full variety of foods, implants can help you recapture a beautiful and healthy smile. Unlike bridges or removable dentures, which sit on top of the gums, dental implants are placed under the gums. The "tooth" placed on an implant appears life-like, because it comes through the gums just like the original did - it's like growing a new tooth!

Went for a cleaning and check up. Dr. never looked at my teeth, only asked hygienist if there was anything of concern. When she said no, he proceeded to try to sell me Invisalign. I had braces as a child and my teeth are perfect. I will not be back and do not recommend this dentist. 1 Board Action Found Substandard Care, Incompetence or Negligence (3/10/2018)Hide details Action Taken: Education Summary: Please reference the following Document Documentation: Download here (PDF) State: Rhode Island

Always a great time when I end up coming here. Excruciating and broken tooth that's making a grown man cry so hard you'd think he was being paid? The staff is right there to let you know you're going to get better and they're going to take care of it. Going in for a regular tooth cleaning? Be prepared for your cleaning to take 3 hours because you're talking and laughing with all the staff because you've been going there for years and they're like the best dental-friends you've ever had! Disclaimer: The cleaning will not ever take three hours.
Like ever. At all. But seriously, the staff here is awesome. They are all great at their job and they will help you. They do fantastic work, and even though we've moved about 30 minutes away we all still make the trek here to see the best dental staff in New England. Oh, and don't be worried about squeezing your car against the building in those small spots. There's a huge lot across the street!

Called to make an appointment as a new patient. As I ask every doctor or dentist I see I asked if the practice was a doctor dentist or a business dentist as I have the right to ask as a patient looking for service. Well unfortunately Ross didn't like my honest questions and proceed to tell me "to go to hell"! If this is how the dentist teaches there employees to talk to people how do you think there going to respect you in that chair. Very disrespectful and unprofessional.

I've been going through the process of completing two implants for the past 11 months. My dentist gave me a quote for implant crowns and then sent me to an oral surgeon for the implants. When I was ready for the crowns my dentist changed the price and quoted the procedure $1,700 above what had been verbally agreed to. Additionally, the receptionist wasn't responsive when I asked for clarification.
She said she'd "call me back, " but never did. After planning the cost for an extraction, implants, and crowns. And then getting worked over, I was pretty upset. I went to AccessDental, and they were upfront and transparent with the amount I'd have owe out of pocket. They were very helpful. I'm looking forward to following through with them and receiving my crowns in a few weeks. I'd recommend to others.

I'd give a 0 if I could. I'll start out by mentioning in 3 months prior to seeing Dr T I saw three other dentists and had multiple X-rays. I only went to this office to diagnose the cause of pain of one tooth that was not coming up on X-ray as they were one of the few local places with the CT scan. When I called to schedule I even said I needed a copy before I leave so I could bring it with me to my next follow up which they assured me they could do.
Before even doing the scan I'm told I have massive bone loss and six teeth 3 bottom 3 top are lose due to some horrible bite that 3 other providers didn't even see. Then we do the CT scan and I'm being told that all 30 of my teeth root canals they should just be pulled and I start being pitched implants. Dr T wouldn't even discuss the tooth I came there for bc according to her they all needed to come out.
All she said was minor infection the next day when I tried to get more info about the infection the office wrote me back I had massive infections all over my mouth which was a big difference from being told mild infection localized to one tooth the day before. I suspect they were trying to literally scare me under threat of a possibility heart attack or infection spreading to the brain to have me pull al my tooth using fear and urgency to eliminate the chance I'd wait for a second opinion.
They also pretty much ensured I couldn't get a second opinion by claiming they ran out of paper and couldn't give me a copy of my scan. After pulling teeth pun intended they finally sent a zip file they said was the CT scan but I had my DDS an endo whose a friend of the family and another periodontist who has a CT machine no one could open this file so for all anyone knows it could be an encrypted picture of an ice cream cone.
I used almost half my months pay to get this scan done and it was a totally waste of money I have no copy and I have no real interpretation of the scan and cannot get one without a copy. The office was contacted multiple times about the file being unopenable but they pretty much said well we sent it that way that's all we are going to do and ignored my requests for a hard copy. It's been two weeks I still have no copy.
I subsequently went to a periodontist who also didn't see this dire need to extract all my teeth, a massive infection, loose teeth, or severe bone loss. Very concerned how many other patients especially those who may not have had recent care may have been told they needed thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars in work they didn't need and pulled perfectly healthy teeth to go into bridges or other devices implants etc that didn't need too.
I knew you had to worry about this kind of stuff bringing your car to a garage for repairs but never thought this kind of thing happened in medicine and dentistry with people who took an oath to do no harm to someone whose disabled and has an autoimmune disorder no less. Between the trigimenal neuralgia and lupus I'm fairly certain I'm not a good candidate for implants there's a good chance the implant would fail I mentioned these things but Dr T just kept saying none of that would be an issue even stating the trigimenal nerve doesn't reach the nerves in your mouth.
Somehow all the reviews with details that are negative are classified as unrecommended you have to scroll to the bottom of the first page that comes up to find them but reviews with no details like best dentist ever are recommended including a review written by the dentist herself.

I've been bringing my son to access dental for years & they are truly top-notch! The office staff are always friendly and inviting and they are super transparent with all the dental cost. The dentist usually comes to examine my sons teeth after the hygienist cleans them and both are done so quickly! the hygienist takes the time to explain everything and ensure you understand treatment recommendations and gives you alternative options. I absolutely recommend access dental!

Amazing service! I was not a patient, but had a dental emergency because my regular dentist was temporarily closed as they changed locations. Even though the office had been closed for two weeks for the holidays, I was able to get an appointment on their first day back in the office. I called at about 9:30 am and they were able to get me in to see Dr. John at 3:00 pm.
Everyone I encountered in that office was kind and especially helpful; Covid-19 precautions were enforced and everything was clean, clean, clean. Dr. John answered all of my questions and quickly completed the needed repair. Thank you!

Was a loyal customer for years back when Dr. John had a smaller practice and he took state dental coverage at that time. I followed him to new bigger practice years later. I let him do 2 root canals. One tooth didn't hurt at the time but the filling made the tooth thin. He talked me into getting the it done to prevent the tooth from breaking but thinking back I had had that filling since I was a child and it was fine, anyway I agreed.
The root canal had to be done over due to infection. Then he tried to send me to a hack doctor down the road to pull my tooth and charge me for an expensive painful implant. He also tried to frighten me into having it done by telling the infection could go to my brain. I ended up getting an apicoectomy by an oral surgeon to save the tooth and it worked out just fine.
I still have my tooth. He also burnt my lip during the root canal with the piping hot tool. I didn't feel it because if the nova cane. I noticed it when I got home and I was very upset that he never mentioned he had burned me. I called the office about my concern and during my next visit he pulled me into his office with his hygienist as a witness.
I asked for an apology and he proceeded to tell me I had buyers remorse for the invisiline he sold me and he refused to apologize. I was shocked. He also tried to talk me into getting expensive Vaneers on all my front teeth just because 1 tooth overlapped the other. Vaneers are for people with terrible teeth and that wasn't my case. I also read a review about a patient he did Vaneers on and it said they were constantly falling out of her mouth.
So terrible. Later I went to his a hygienist for a cleaning after that but I just couldn't trust him to work my teeth ever again. I went to pick up my retainer from his office for my invisiline without ever being fitted for it because I was so disgusted with him. The tray he ordered was a very cheap wire version. After paying $5000 you would think the quality of the retainer would have been decent.
I was later fitted for the retainer by a new dentist. Dr. John is very money hungry and has no loyalty to his long time patients and no empathy or remorse for what he does wrong. This dentist is more of a salesman than a dentist. Beware.go elsewhere.

I recently switched to Access Dental from my former dentist last year. I had a crossbite which resulted in my bottom teeth being ground down while I sleep at night. They recommended Invisalign for me and went through with the program. Fast forward six months, I'm almost done with all of the trays, and my teeth have never looked better. I cannot thank Dr. John and Dr. T enough.
They don't try disregarding any concerns that you bring up and answer questions thoroughly. All of the dental hygienist's are very professional, yet personable. Every time I go into their office (which is almost monthly for Invisalign), I'm greeted with friendly staff. I honestly cannot emphasize what a great office this is and how great of Dentists they are. 10/10 Access Dental

Dentists always recommend unnecessary procedures and if you are innocent enough to agree to do if your insurance covers. They will lie to you that your prior authorization has been approved and later sent you a bill. When I called my insurance i realized that they never even called my insurance company for any insurance approval. Do not recommend this place.
Staff are friendly so if your procedure is covered by insurance i guess you will have good experience here but not everyone will go for dental check up and dental cleaning. The fact the they lie to you that you everything is covered and make you do things that you never went for that purpose is way to make money for them. They misrepresented the fact which in other words a is fraud.

This is the Best dentist by far. My Name is Wendy Schofield and I can not say enough about this dental office and their entire staff. They are friendly and make you feel extremely comfortable. The Dentists there know exactly what they're doing. I strongly feel they are the best. No matter what dental work I have done and believe me I have work.
I never leave in pain. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. For the first time in my life I can truly say I enjoyed going to the dentist. Thank you so much Access Dental Care and my wonderful doctor John. You are truly amazing!

Had an appointment to get a crown put on. Again I was provided with nothing but excellent service. Dr John was assisted by Jen. She is one of the sweetest person you will meet. She made me smile. They both did a wonderful job. Thank you also to Ross and Sarah for excellent customer service. You two always make me feel welcome.

Best dental experience ever! The dentists are great! They listen to any issues, and explain in great detail and in plain English what is going on, and what needs to be done. Most other dentists will say this needs to be done, let's get you scheduled back in to get this done, NOT HERE! Same day! Completely amazed! Now my forever dentistry!

I have had a fantastic experience with Access Dental. I'm a patient who has not seen the inside of a dentist office in over a decade and frankly had a pretty strong aversion/phobia to the whole situation. The staff at Access from Sarah at reception to the multiple hygenists that have helped me and of course right up to Dr T. have been amazing.
They are professional and caring and made me feel as though I was receiving special treatment at each of my visits. Their attention to detail along with their light demeanor have given me a great deal of confidence. A plan was mapped out in order to get my smile back to where I wanted it to be and at this point approximately half of that plan has been executed. I am looking forward to seeing the process through and would highly recommend Access to all of my friends and family as I do so. Thank you to everyone at the practice!

My search for a new dentist started exactly two weeks ago when my mouth was in some severe pain, right in the area where I had two root canals done and didn't get them capped/crowned because I just didn't have the close to $2000 to get the work done. Let's back up for a minute. I have horrible teeth. It's a combination of genetics and poor dental work in the past.
I also, unfortunately, didn't keep up with cleanings as much as I should've because let's face it. who really likes going to the dentist. Every time I sat down in the chair is was bad news. I was delaying the inevitable. Well, my mouth was screaming. I hopped on the Delta Dental website in search of a dental office within a close enough radius to work and/or home.
I found Access Dental and read some great reviews, so I called and explained my painful situation and they were able to see my that day even though I wasn't a current patient. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who took me into a comfortable office to ask the general past and present health issues, name, address, dob, etc. etc. I really love that they do this instead of shoving a handful of paperwork in your face and telling you to have a seat, fill it out and we'll call you in when we're ready.
When all of that was done, I was taken back into the chair where x-rays were taken and Dr. T came in to speak with me regarding the issues which were causing my pain. She is just wonderful; I have to say, by far, my most favorite doctor ever. She's patient and willing to answer any questions you have and will thoroughly explain every little detail so that you understand what is going on.
After two weeks of an intense antibiotic treatment to rid of the massive infection I had going on, I went in today for my procedure: two extractions and a partial. I had my teeth cleaned first and then Dr. T came in to do the major work. She was gentle and sweet, kept calling me "honey" which most of the time I can find annoying, but with her I felt like it was being said with honesty and I found it endearing. I've found my new favorite dentist and Dr. T is it. I wouldn't even second guess recommending Dr. T to anyone who is looking for a thoughtful and caring person to treat them.

Husband was in severe pain and could not find a dentist who would see him anytime soon. Including his regular dentist! Access not only took him in right away, they were polite, friendly and offered payment options we were able to live with. Business is taking care of the patient here! This has become out regular dentist and they treat us as family!

Went here today in severe pain, thanks to my mom's handy google skills. Called and asked if they could see me, they squeezed me in, and told my my price without insurance over the phone (which was quite reasonable). They fixed the problem the best they could on short notice and I have an appointment next week to work on it further. Couldn't be happier.
